That's us -completely saturated. It's pretty grey and overcast right now but I don't think there's any rain forecast for a change. Had tremendous storms yesterday. Dh set the sump pump out back to pump some of the water up over the berm. Sure don't miss that sound.

I didn't get up until nearly 8:30 and it's nearly 9:30 now. I've managed to s2s, make the bed, and take my meds. Now it's about time to eat breakfast and get on with my PODA.
The thing I miss most about our old house, Kathryn, is our bedroom/bathroom. We had a nice, bright, good sized bedroom that I loved. Then a few years before we sold, dh built a fabulous bathroom just off our bedroom. It had enough storage in it for a king. I remember him trying to get it all done before dd came to visit from FL -she had just recently had a hip replacement and he wanted her to be able to use it. Also miss the really nice kitchen -the rest? Not so much. Sure don't miss the time and energy required to really take care of a two-story and 12 plus room house. I have trouble just keeping up in our 440 square foot park model. At least I can spruce it up in a quick hurry.
I don't miss the bathrooms in the house. It is just that the bathrooms here are worse! As for bedrooms, my new bedroom is bigger and the guest bedroom is the same size. Kitchen is smaller, but works better than the HUGE kitchen at the house. For the rest of the rooms, we shed rooms we didn't use so don't miss much at all.
I'm slow moving this morning. I didn't get all the silver polished so that's done. While dh had my computer yesterday, I moved it into the kitchen so if I was to get the kitchen in order while making my tea (my daily habit) I had to deal with the silver.
I still have a sermon to write. Praying it will pour out of me.
Today is saturated. There's the festival (we can here some of the music even way up here, almost a mile away from the stage.) For sure we'll go to the concert tonight, but there are things on all day. I have banking to do. I have grocery shopping to do. Those will have to happen by bike since the main street is closed to traffic (the stage is set up on the street.) I have the sermon to write and the anthem to learn for our church's anniversary service in the morning. As well, I have to prep my item for the pot luck lunch after.
Silver needs to be put away in the china cabinet but the shelves need to be emptied and the contents and shelves dusted. That may not happen until Monday.
Saturated w Dallas news coverage here. While waiting for gardening show to come on. I went to bed early last night. H wants to particapate in free fishing day not me.
I have been on fly patrol this morning after opening the house up this week it has taken some time to get those pesky flies.
Another yarn baby is ready for hair now. I will start one more an we can have a crafting day putting hair face etc. On these.

Often think of you, Nancy, as dd tells me (or shows me) projects being completed by several of their elementary students. One teacher has taken it upon herself to teach many kids to crochet and they do things for preemies mostly. Keeps idle hands busy, gives them a good attitude toward those in need and lots of other good fallout. They're always looking for gifts of left over yarn from people in the community. It's really changed the outlook of several and a great sense of accomplishment.
Speaking of accomplishments, meant to say congrats to Helia's dd. Always so good to see many of our village dks and dgks doing so well. And even when we post of those not doing so well, it gives us opportunity to think of and pray for these as well.
Now, as soon as I take a bathroom break, I'm grabbing my cane from the car and setting off on a walk. I dearly need to make that part of my daily routine.!!!!
Campground is 'saturated' with at least 4 fire departments, 2 mounted sheriffs, the DARE car and all their give-aways. It's "Kid's Safety Day". One of the departments is giving kids rides on their brush fighter. Heard dgs15 start up his modified race car (he's here demonstrating too) so walked over. So at least I got some walking in. Take my cane as I'm never sure just how far I'll really be able to walk without something.
DD is coming soon and we're taking her car to dsgd15's dance recital. Leaving our car so dh can go to the races later. Asked dgs where DS-A was -back at the shop getting their 2nd car ready so he (DS-A) can race it tonight. Oh, I'm so glad I'm not going!!!!
Dh just came by and turned off the pump. Yay! I remember all too well having 2 running non-stop for days and days during the summer of 2013 and then again last year when we had all the flooding. It's a nice noise "not to have".
Grabbing a quick bite of lunch. REalized it'll be quite a while before we return. Oh, that said, here's dd.
Heated up half the leftover lasagna (from dinner out Thursday night) and am trying to convince myself it was enough for my lunch! It sure was good, even better heated up than on Thursday night.
One of ds's friends had FB'd that he and his wife would be at the Festival with dfs and his wife and invited anyone else interested. I piped up that I needed to give dfs a hug (this is his first time home since Basic Training and he's posted on Vancouver Island, just home on leave.) The friend posted he was at a local restaurant so I interrupted sermon writing and went to give him a hug.
Turns out he'll be home for 2 weeks, not one as he previously thought, so they'll be over at some point in the second week once he gets his two sets of parents and her two sets of parents, plus his grandparents visited. The fact that I rate a visit when he has so many relatives makes me feel good.
The sermon is only half written so I'll get back to that now.
At shopping saturation point I think, went to farmers mkt. And store run done hit jackpot yd sale some kid stuffcraft supplies tshirts for me red sand pail bucket kid books & fabric too! I still need to get to joann fabrics for yarn to use my coupon later on.
Dee thanks for thinking of me and mentioning that.
I put food away, processed mail. Got hero sandwich to share for our lunch.

So nice you are that involved in ds' friend's life, Kathryn. Nice you get a hug or two.
That's a great project for the elem. students, Dee! Thank you! Dd17 would probably be irritated if she knew I'd said something here. She's very private and very anti-tooting one's horn, so to speak.

I've been on track in a relaxed way today. I did the regular morning stuff first thing this morning, went for a jog with dh (I like my new shoes, though they are tighter than my old ones - probably how they should be, and I just need to get used to them), kept laundry going, s2s-ed and did self care, went with dh to meet dpastor and his wife for lunch, and called and chatted with ds who seems to be doing well.
Next:
- QT
- keep laundry going
- load dw with random dishes sitting by the sink
Later:
- grad party in neighboring village, around 5 or 6 pm
- groc. store - quick run??
- small group after the grad party; we'll be very late but might get there in time for sharing and prayer
- start working on trimming our forsythia bushes??
We are saturated with rain today. I dumped out 2" from the rain gauge so far. LO's TBall game has been cancelled for today because the fields are too saturated. In an effort to keep the tournament on track, they rescheduled today's games to Sunday (tomorrow). That has cause a huge uproar with some teams refusing to play on Sunday. I'm glad I"m not the one trying to please everyone with a saturated TBall tournament schedule.
I am tracking in progress, monitoring & completed tasks on an hourly basis. It makes me feel better to see what I have accomplished. I tend to only look at what is still needs to be done.

lucylee, here are my new shoes, if you're still curious. At the running store, the salesperson had me walk so he could analyze my feet and how I move. He recommended shoes that are good for my feet - at least I'm trusting that is what he did. I'm inclined to trust him b/c both dfriend S2 (who runs marathons) and dh recommended I go through this process at this store for new shoes, all the shoes seemed to be the exact same price, he did not recommend the same brand that dh wears, and he told us he doesn't get a commission. After watching me walk, the salesperson said I have high arches, which I've always known, and was, "fairly well-aligned," which I think means my feet don't turn out or in. I also have narrow feet. (My feet are also relatively small for my height, though I don't think that matters.) He also asked me how much I run/week. Anyhow, I just mention this because (1) depending on your feet and needs, these shoes may not be a good fit for you, and (2) I read a negative review for these shoes which complained about the narrowness at the toes. I'm OK with that b/c my feet are narrow.
