Hi everyone!

Wayne and I spent a few hours looking at washer and dryer sets and chest freezers for the new-to-us house. We hope to get all the legal stuff started this week. We need to get an inspection. Wayne has spoken to his friend that owns the house a few times and has gone over to sit in the back yard and talk.

We went fishing in the rain yesterday and caught numerous fish that all got tossed back. I had 3 fish within 10 minutes. Right now the water is too warm for the fish to be any good. (Wayne has been fishing all of his life, so I am just going by what he says.)

Sad to say one of our cats ran away from home on Thursday. When I got home from work she was gone. None of the screens here (including the balcony door) are 100% secure and they are all brittle from age. Whenever we go to the super for anything including having a secure working lock on our mailbox in the lobby, it takes forever. We moved in here with the understanding that it would only be one year, and we are grateful to be moving out of here on September 1st. It took 6 months to get a leaking tap fixed.

I have been totally lazy this afternoon. Watched 3 episodes of Bones. One episode after another. I am on season 3 and still have to shut my eyes during the gory body portions. I enjoy the interaction between the scientist, lawyers, fbi agents, etc enough that I put up with having to cover my eyes.

Alrighty! I typically start my new week at 5pm on Sunday. So when the clock struck 5pm, I sat down at the desk to get started. I have looked over the schedule for this week and see it is fairly quiet. There are activities every afternoon/evening this week. However I will be home every morning this week which works perfect for my early morning energy level. I am hopeful this morning time being home will allow me to get the tax information ready for CPA. That is my most pressing and l-o-n-g overdue task. It would be a HUGE relief to get that done.

DH and LO are fishing so I'm going to use this quiet time to get started on the paperwork now.

Normal Sunday around here, basically... church, glad ds/ddil/dgs all made it as well, and then a short nap and newspapers afterwards -- but dgs has been here most all afternoon while ds started laying that "floating" flooring. It's going pretty well, for his first attempt, and he is working alone. He got about halfway finished, and said he'd be back tomorrow.

I think dh and I are going to go see the movie about the army dog, Max.
We saw Ted 2 Thursday night. It's stupid, but it is funny, in a vulgar, R-rated Three Stooges kind of way. There is absolutely nothing politically correct about it, that's for certain. If there is anyone they could offend, they did. I'm really not a big Seth McFarland fan, but I do like Mark Wahlberg. But this movie is really extremely off-color in a lot of places; I would NOT want to watch it with my mother.
I would like to see Love & Mercy with my mother, btw -- the Brian Wilson story. I don't think I mentioned seeing that. It is REALLY good. I did not know everything about his story -- I mean, I knew he was a big part of the Beach Boys, and I knew drugs had caused a lot of problems for him... but ooohhh... I had no idea the extent of the problems and how other people entered into it... It was an amazing story.

I have a load of laundry started, trying to keep things under control till we go on our trip next week.

Hello, villagers ~
I am getting nowhere on The Dreaded Project, but have made good progress on decluttering a difficult area. That is making me feel better.

I have printed off the "30-Day Declutter Challenge" list so I can join in. The list does not match up at all with what I had planned to do in July -- therefore, my participation in the group project will be to commit to 15 minutes in the area that is listed for the day. I didn't actually read the directions for the challenge, maybe 15 minutes is all that is required anyway?

The only thing on the list that I don't have at all is kid items (day 22), but I'm sure I can find something to make an acceptable substitution. Sad to say I will have no problem finding enough to do in all the other categories.

While dd slept the other night she was bitten 6 times by a mosquito along her arm from hand to shoulder. Her extreme allergy to it has resulted in benedril at night and in the middle of the night last night she was up with her Daddy and they decided to give her a middle-of-the-night dose. That meant she was zonked at the alarm time this a.m. and didn't get to either rehearsal or church. Thankfully our bass song leader was there and he and I were fine together. We're not as pretty as the young ladies, of course.

So many visitors today. What a change from a few weeks ago when minister commented on how few in number we were. So many children.

Dd had a friend who'd been asking for her to come sleep over for a long time, and she just felt she couldn't say no again. So she went tonight even though her hand was still very swollen. She called tonight a little worried and I think I'm going to call the dr tomorrow morning. I kinda wish she was at home.

blessed, that was an interesting trip for you today.

Cathy so sorry to hear your cat squeezed through a screen for adventure. I hope kitty will just mosey on back. Exciting to think about a new house.

BookSaver, I printed it off (just black and white) too, and yes, I think it would be an interesting experiment to get a feel for what 15 might accomplish on 30 different spots. Medicine cabinets - possibly finished. Garages - well, if you have your own personal Genie, sure, that'll work!

I know it isn't Sunday anymore, but I am just finishing up my day here.

Guess I missed saying Happy Birthday to helia, but since she hasn't celebrated yet, maybe I'm still in time?

Got up late and threw my clothes on and went to church, which was nice today.

I guess I start my week on Sunday afternoons. Today I caught up all the dishes and gathered all the garbage to take out for tomorrow. I went through a big basket of old piano music and picked out my easiest books and solos. Then I found a portfolio to hold them and put everything in a big padded envelope. Going to send them to DGSon who really really wants to learn the piano. DD bought him a big full-size keyboard and he is over-the-moon happy about that. He has enough basics learned so that he will be able to make a little progress by himself now.

We went to the beach where I got a real workout. The waves were huge, but just small enough that we could manage to go into the water. Water was really warm today. The beach always leaves me super tired out (is it the heat?) so I needed a nap after dinner. Did 2 LOL and have them hanging up. I guess I got enough done for an easy start to the week.

Going to bed now...
