I printed out the 30 day declutter list also. Glad to see it starts in the refrigerator and pantry, b/c those items are pretty clear all the time anyway -- dh is very conscientious about throwing away outdated food items on trash day.

Man from the transmission place called and :D he thinks/hopes a leak might be our only trouble... but :( he'll be working on it tomorrow, so we still have to drive ds's truck to Atlanta.
Maybe this will keep us from having to replace the transmission though, and certainly help us avoid the time and expense of repairs on the road from mechanics we have no knowledge of.

Had to take dbil a check...   dh is very embarrassed! He told dbil the entire cost of the football tickets -- not just dbil's half! LOL... so that was good news for dbil.
And dbil said all estate matters should be settled by the end of July, so that was good news for us.

Talked to dmom again, went to Wmart and got her some topsoil, since we are taking her truck away from her. It's a musical chairs of trucks around here. Ours is almost 30 years old and has no ac anymore... and the rearview mirror just fell off! I tried super glue and that did not work, so it is now reattached w/doublesided auto tape. DS's truck has the extended cab, so there is much more inside storage for our luggage. We are taking dmom's truck to ds, and we are driving ds's truck. So... lots of swapping back and forth this evening.

* Also decluttering a hardwood floor buffer that belongs to dmom, which I have had for 30 years, and which dmom probably had for 20 before that. It has been in my utility room closet since we built our house, and I have probably used it twice... If it still works, dmom needs it now, since she pulled up carpet.
Tomorrow is another day.

The day is winding down. More or less, I have:
- done the a.m. routine, except for making my bed
- printed out tests for the first 2 units of my class; I will blend the 2 for a test to give my class on Thursday
- decluttered my side table; I think I need to get rid of a couple more items, but it is much better
- paid cc online
- confirmed from others that we're celebrating dd17's birthday Friday night, a little over a month late
- gotten a birthday menu from dd17 for Friday night
- made a menu plan and groc. list
- gone to the groc. store
- gone for a jog. (I also jogged yesterday. This is getting addictive. . . ) I'm continuing to go faster. I will soon try for distance instead of time, perhaps 2.5 miles. I'm already reaching 2.33 miles in my allotted time - which shows you how slowly I'm going. LOL! Perhaps I will stretch it and start going 3 miles once a week.
- laundry: load of towels washed, dried and drying some more; load of darks washed and waiting on the towels
- put away the laundry on the drying rack that I'd forgotten about
- made, eaten, and cleaned up dinner: leftover pasta (mac 'n cheese casserole + tuna pasta) and salad
- prepped a plate for dd17 for after practice
- checked on the hens, only to discover dh had already done that
- made sure the kitchen is clean and the dw is running

Next:
- read chapter in book for moms group teaching team; we're meeting next week
- switch laundry when the towels are finished
- put away the pile of books I culled from my bedside table

Dd was given a steroid shot and a round of antibiotics. They looked at the backs of her hands (both) under their extremely bright fluorescents, and saw a purplish tone starting on her poor fat bitten hand, so that was just it. Time for the needle. Dr said she would be better by tonight and that seems to be true.

Dr chatted with her a long time about broken elevators (he was informed by HRH) and allergies so bad you have to get shots, and other scary parts of life. He is a jewel.

Hello.

Lucylee, we had a rear-view mirror fall off one time. I remember DH going to an auto parts store and getting a special glue just for that. It came in a little foil packet and was a clear gel-type thing and we had to clean windshield with alcohol first. If it ever falls off again...

Strange day here. When I came home from beach yesterday wasn't feeling really great and didn't know why... had to nap before my shower. Almost afraid I was getting another UTI, had that sick body feeling...but no other symptoms...so I took a pain killer and a vitamin C and went to bed. Couldn't get up this morning. Kept going back to sleep. Wasn't sick sick, just something??? Kept trying to do stuff, started dailies, etc. took package to post office, did a LOL which I couldn't hang up so threw into the dryer.

But sat on the couch and kept falling asleep all day. Odd. DH called for some wood and I wasn't sure I could load it up but I did, was a big heavy job for me. When I got back home I ate something (no appetite today) and slept on and off. Heard DH come in and couldn't rouse myself enough to throw together some dinner for him - he had frozen pizza again - about 8 I got up and cleared off my desk, doing those chores there in an attempt to get together papers for tomorrow's appointment.

I feel like I had a migraine. But I never had head pain. So weird. I hope I feel better tomorrow. So today was a wash-out. I so hate losing a day.

Yesterday I printed off the declutter check list. I've been sorta stalled since my big cleanout. I was thinking 15 min a day wasn't very much...because I spent hours on the last cleanout...but maybe 15 minutes at a time is all I need now. Sunday I did a big cleanout of refrigerator and actually took drawers out and washed them...so I'm a little ahead so far.

Lilac, nice that we heard from you today.

((Nancy)), do you think you will have a bruise?

((Harmony)), perhaps you are fighting something off and will never know?

helia, dd got bitten by a mosquito while she slept about 1:30 a.m. Saturday morning. She is extremely allergic and they can swell up to several inches in diameter, are raised, and get very warm. She thought there were 6 all along the one arm, now believes she sees 8 individual bites since some have had swelling go down. This time (as has happened once before) one got infected. The one at the hand was on a knuckle and the swelling had nowhere to go, plus it may have been the first bite since they were smaller as they moved up the arm. The one at the elbow was so warm at the doctor's that it was actually the one that alarmed his nurse practitioner, even though it didn't look as bad.

Ramblin' my late dh was part of a chain of same-first-name men and told ds when he was young that he had thought better of the reasoning on keeping that up for generations and thought it was time to end it. I think some people in ds' paternal family wondered why ds didn't name his little boy the same name, especially since his dfather died young and he missed him so much, but I believe ds remembered what his Daddy said.

Oh, by the way, I was gratified to see that the two main extended family members who've been fussing had civil emails back and forth today and may be starting to get along (for which I have worked and hoped). I'm sure ya'll won't find it surprising  to hear that Harriet is the person with whom one of them is mad at now, so I guess that opens the door to getting along with the other. I did get a short email from a cousin that I may put into my compliment file: "You have been so reasonable and nice, and I see what it got you." :| I will think of this as doing what my grandmother would have wanted, anyway! Maybe next time I could do it well.

(((Harmony))) So sorry you've had such a difficult day! Hope tomorrow will be much better -- and I will try to remember to ask at auto parts place for glue. (The tape didn't hold either).

Harriet, just more (((HUGS))) for family upsets.
Kinda got one going here too, I guess, but I may be the only one upset... trying to keep your dmom's advice in mind... Just b/c someone needs * desperately, I might add * to be told something, it doesn't mean I have to be the one to tell them.
So I am praying for that person and praying SOMEONE will do the telling and make them WAKE UP!!!

(((Nancy))) Be careful!
Tomorrow is another day.

Harriet: Glad your family members are returning to civility. Not sure I could remain civil with my sister if we had to be together for any length of time so won't invite her to NS with us this summer.

The game was good. It helps to attend Can-Am games where the level of play is not much better than Little League - so even a boring game (by my sister's standards) was very interesting and impressive. It helps that we had a radio so listened to the announcers and had lots of additional info.

My sister and nephew came back to the hotel room and visited for about 90 minutes after the game. It was nice to see my nephew again - haven't seen him for over two years.

Physio exercises next (although I've done two already while waiting for the train) and then bed.

Walked 13K steps today. Not sore at all. Can't say I won't be sore tomorrow, but I'm not sore now.
