Hello everyone and happy holiday. I got the holiday date mixed up in my head because I haven't written a check in 2 days and I thought everybody is closed Mon. instead of today. DH sent me to a shop to pick up some supplies and I found the industrial park a ghost town. My place was open, though she said if things didn't pick up she was going to close also.

Then I went to county office to pay a fee that they couldn't get the computer to work for when I was there last... and order an inspection and there were tumbleweeds in that parking lot also. So I came home and tried to get that accomplished on line. What a fiasco. Complaints about this county computer programming are many. I got logged in one place, but was unable to find the portal to get into the "Pay" system. I was very patient, and I clicked on every link available. Some of the oddest things came up; I looked at 3 code complaints from 2011 which had nothing to do with us at all.

Sigh... so now I don't know if I can do this Monday or not. Nowhere to find that information. At least helper was willing to work. DH was looking for an otc pain killer, they were in different truck at different jobsite and we will have to go bring that back at some point today. I drove up the street to nearest drugstore and got him a little bottle. He's starting to need those almost every day now. :(

I got a late start, not sleeping well last night and up early then back to nap and got into that real deep sleep that happens to me. Well, I see the post office truck out front, so they are running at least. I don't know about the banks. I usually keep much better track of the days/dates but I sure missed it this year.

I feel all discombobulated. I guess I will go do some laundry and cleaning and try to restart my day.

Hello all!

Well, my bank was open this morning, Harmony. I don't know if yours is or not.

I am home from a bunch of errands and am finally sitting down and having some lunch. I left the house at 10:15 a.m. and was home and had everything put away around 1:30 pm.

Done:
- QT
- s2s and self-care
- WW - down another 0.7 lb
- Tarjay
- bank
- groc. store
- Trader Joe's
- lunch

Next:
- finish lunch with some yogurt and fruit
- empty the dw and tidy the kitchen
- make bed

Later:
- do a load of towels
- prep turkey breast for the oven (dd17's choice for her bday dinner)
- jog

Got dressed, tidied the bedroom and did a full round of physio. Watched episodes of Nashville while I did all that.

Next up, the decluttering challenge of the day. I'll put another episode on while I work.

I am done with that round. waiting for the oven to heat up to roast the veggies. I turned it on but didn't hit the start button so it's still cold.

Going to run out and pick up the cake and also see what kind of flowers the grocery has. The table needs some.

I am keeping myself awake by coming here and CUOP. My eyes want to shut, but I don't dare let myself until LO & DGD4 fall asleep for their nap. DGD4 has stopped talking which is a very good sign. Maybe she will fall asleep now.

Tonight the FNG meets at our home. It is in fairly good shape so shouldn't take long to get set up for them.

Hello Dear Ladies,

HOT here. Expecting rain.

Youngest Dson is helping me to lose some weight, so far I'm down 8 pounds. He helps me figure out meals and cooks them sometimes too. amazing what support can do. DH is losing with me, know he lost some weight too, more than me but that's ok too.

Last night at work I had a grandmother, mother and 3 month old baby. The baby was so alert and sweet. I asked all about him and then noticed he was missing an arm. Inquired and yes he was born with his right arm ending at his elbow. But they all seemed quite happy.

Spent some time today writing up a list of things to send to John, he is the son of one of our workers who is now stationed in Kuwait. got to meet John a month ago and thank him for his service and his mom's sacrifice. We are sending him a care package. I find it helps to help others when you are facing troubles yourself. I won't be able to put very much in the box but I can get a card and ask others to contribute.

DH got some work trickling in, I'm praying for a flood of work for him cause that's what we need.

Off to work.

Great day to all!

I am home again, have shaped challah to rise and have veggies roasting in the oven.

I'm checking in to stay on track - company is coming at 6:30. We had gone a long time w/o entertaining much but it is coming back to me and is getting easier. There was a day when I would invite company for Shabbat at 3 p.m. on Friday and not stress. Course, it depends on who is coming and this is an easy group.

Cake for ds is red velvet with cream cheese swirled icing and is beautiful. It's only a six-inch so we won't have a lot of leftovers - also may put together some fruit for dessert.

This time:
-arrange sunflowers for table
-finish up shells (water is heating to boil shells, need to mix filling and fill the shells and arrange in casserole)
-s2s
-kitchen clean up
-clear kitchen table

-bonus: set up countertop ironing board and touch up cloth napkins

((Sadie)) glad you are able to look on the bright side! Gratitude is powerful, isn't it?

Not making a whole lot of progress here today. Neighbor called me and ate up a whole bunch of time. DH called me and I took him to get truck...ate up another bunch of time.

I hung up 1 LOL and have sheets going now. Brought mail in. Started the declutter...will be back to that next.

Sadie, congrats on the weight loss. Oh my, the baby. So sad about that, but at least these days those children are still accepted.

Back to work.

Bit by bit getting some progress yea!

Ok I need to do another round on the kitchen and flip the laundry around.

Hi everyone.

I just got home from a busy day of chores.

I dropped off my chart from previous Doctor to new Doctor.
I went to the bank and paid 3 bills.
I went and did all of the dirty laundry so other than what Wayne and I are wearing, everything else is clean.
I went to Niagara on the Lake to pick up some chili sauce and pickled beets. (There is a local store that makes awesome jams/jellies and chili sauce and pickled beets.
I went to Niagara Falls to a grocery store there where we buy most of our meat from. Didn't need much produce because I bought a lot at the Farmer's Market yesterday. Niagara area fruit is so plentiful.
Dropped off 2 weeks worth of apples to Wayne at work. He has an apple when he gets to work every morning.

The fridge and freezer are full.

My best friend is on a Alaskan cruise and today's stop is in Vancouver, BC and my sister is at our family homestead in Twillingate NFLD. Over the past year and a half, my sister and I have become quite close and I miss her right now more than I miss my lifelong friend.
