do the cookies usually taste like you just made them even though frozen? Then I am going to start making a cookie batch once a week.
I am in the midst of cooking for my d aunt who is very ill - and I am thinking of putting food away for the holidays. I am not sure when I should start that.
I put a bit more money into my account - not enough to cover everything yet as we have had many weddings, birthdays, gifts for d girls, etc. Being gone from the house has limited my creative gifts.
Happy Grand plan everyone

blessed, I've had Sunny's DH's cookies and I never could tell they'd been frozen!
Nancy, how do you freeze the dough in balls? Don't the balls freeze together?

Re: Froz. Dough Balls - I put em on a cookie sheet in the freezer then in a container or zip bag after they are frozen. I like cooking them in the fall rather than heating up the kitchen this time of year.

Re: ***Holiday Planning, 2015***
thank you!!! I think I will start making my cookies then for Christmas and freezing them.
today is pay day so I am putting money again in my Christmas account. I still will fall short but at least I will have some things put away.
I bought honey from my CSA farmer (the gentleman farmer) for Christmas presents for d sis in laws. I will buy tea an and put cookies with this.
today: is my monthly shopping at target so I will buy dh a couple things for stocking stuffers. I would like to finish these.
September prep:
this week: make gift list - done - per holiday grand plans

They tase great! U can get stuff for baking ahead now and do the first 3 batches up ch. Chip, sugar cookie, penut butter, snicker doodle or what ever your fam. Faves are. for example and then freeze the first round 'em ahead now and add more later. I Stock up on brownie mixes as well. Cake mixes muffin mix. Some go to food bank drives. Cake mixes 2 that I use for cookies. Ch cake with some white or peanut butter chip. Do not forget to stock up on butter like I did! LOL!
Some pumpkin bread, craisen bread type things are good to think about can be made of cake mixes too.
It is good do a test batch.
Re thinking cookie baking thing here bc we need to take of lbs. may just get some mixes for food the bank.

http://holidaygrandplan.com/holiday-gra ... stion-week holiday grand plan week 2
today I bought one white elephant gift (from dh) (xmas)
also bought the yearly ornament for us - I wanted the 50 $ one but I bought the church that has a choir singing instead.
also bought grandparents cards for september.
bought my d mom alsacienne note cards for Christmas
from holiday grand plans that I plan on focusing on this week:
Make an extra meal (plus for 2 more) for the freezer and label.
before buying new flour etc. like I do every year... clean out baking cupboard.
Make one recipe of cookies for freezer. I am thinking the hardest one. (gingerbread cut outs)
repairs for front room: front windows.
