Twins... I agree with a gentle leader. Harness allow a dog to pull. Think of it this way...whats the largest domesticated animal that doesn't use a harness...Why a horse of course. A bridal with a lead is used to train and walk a horse. Same application applies to dogs. Gentle Leads come usually come with a video as well as instructions. The first thing my beloved dog trainer does with new clients is to remove the harnesses and replace them with a claw collar...sounds terrible ...Its not use to choke the dog, but to gentle redirect the dog so he/she can focus on what they need to do.
When I was working with the horses, I learned what Yoni taught me about Willis could be applied to horses. You can follow him at Balancing Paws on FB and Instagram. Its amazing how much he has grown his dog training company, mostly because of the success he's had with dogs with behavior issues. I'm really proud of him.
I've been unpacking for most of the morning. Hoped to be done by now but I am still trying fit everything in a much smaller places. Thank goodness I started decluttering a year ago, or I would really be in a mess.
Waving to ya'll. Tomorrow we're going to get up extra early so we can head out to the beach. My kind of day

Twins - BWTG! You have put together a well-thought-out plan for entertainment.
We are home from a successful SS meeting. There are not enough words to describe my emotions for finally having accomplished this.
Social Security office tip - Last week I called the closest SS office to me. I stayed on hold for 30 minutes listening to their music and occasional recorded messages. Then my call was abruptly disconnected, and I didn't get to speak to anyone. So, I found a different SS office in a different town/county and called them. I was surprised how quick & easy it was. They answered my call, and I was helped by a real person. Today we arrived at that office, and she was ready for our appointment. No lines and no waiting! I found it astonishing how different the two SS offices operate.
I have had an emotional week and my energy level is lagging. I am going to take a few hours to stop and put my feet up. Experience has taught me that my immune system is affected by stressful times. I want to relax and renew myself with the hope the stress relief will help me not get sick.

Puppy has a harness for walks, yes. Takes a long time to get on so she wears it a couple times a day. Life is so much easier with the harness. I can't manage getting her into harness right now but boys taking turns has worked. Today she and I have had plenty more help. Dd42 also had her heating pad set out for me.
DD and I went to see Dbil and his Dniece this afternoon. Dbil looks so much better than he did when I saw him Wednesday last week. He still has a catheter. He had a PET scan on Tuesday and they made a mask for his radiation on Wednesday. He has an appointment with the oncologist next Wednesday so hopefully he'll hear some 'good' news.
The interesting part of the afternoon (and I'm sure Twins will get this!) was that dbil's dsisil brought his mail in. It was letter/form from the IRS. Actually it was for Dsisil. Now......Dbil has not filed taxes in several years. We would ask him from time to time, "Why not? You might have Money coming back from somewhere." He always poopooed it. Right. So he asked for someone smarter than he to look at this paper and that was DD. Seems that Dsisil has over $9,000 + interest in their account. We finally figured out that it is evidently from her SS she's had all these years and they obviously were taking taxes out yearly that was never claimed. So, thenn we surmised that dbil also has been paying taxes on his all these years and would obviously have more than dsisil. So we quietly asked his dniece to find his statement of what his SS would be this year and we're betting it says $x amount before taxes and $x amount to be withheld for taxes. I'm certain this is the case as we told SS not to withhold taxes from mine but dh has taxes withheld from his. Then of course when we file taxes he gets all that back plus pretty much what he's paid in from working. I'll tell you where this ends up.
I took a journaling workshop 40 min. Phew glad it is not one of those weekend ones.
I weeded a bit to refresh and to give my brain a break Lol!
This was good for some perspective for me over the past two years.
Laundry is done now no issues yea!
I need to think about my dinner planned left overs.
Zoom class was excellent.

Dee, DBiL is going to have a great big nest egg when he gets that all sorted out!
I have not been keeping up well, so I took some time just now and read through the past 4 days. It ought to get quieter around here...I hope... with Bible Study done for the year now. Our last day was today and it was nice with all our little groups getting together in a big room. Everybody brought food and each class had their own table to decorate in some meaningful way. It was all very nice.
Yesterday I ran a couple errands plus stopped to update some of my wardrobe and I don't know how successful I was...but I did have a new top to wear today and that made me happy. Sunny and I were trying on clothes last evening..just like a couple teenagers might do! She has a wedding coming up and I'd offered the dress I wore to our GS's wedding. She didn't think it would work so I tried it on and showed her...and then she did the same. I think that pretty dress might just go north with her someday and get to star in another wedding!
We ran a couple errands after our meeting today and I think I wore her out with all the walking. The last place was very big and we walked every inch of it! Did not find the things I might have bought...
We had a thunder shower after we got home; DH said it rained for a while before then also. Our grass will finally be green and I won't be paying the water company for it. I gulped when the water bill came and I paid it tonight.
Hope everybody begins feeling better, Lucylee with her virus and allergies; Harriet with a sore back - ouch! (I usually do better icing a sore back). Pollen is high here too, I keep getting notices on my phone about the pollen...like there is anything I can do about it. Today in the store there was all this alarm noise and not having correct directional ability to my ears..I was looking up at the ceiling trying to find the speakers...and it was a notice coming on my phone, right in my purse. I'm glad nobody but Sunny saw that happening. LadyM, I hope the new books are helpful. Could it just be a personality conflict with another girl in school?
