hello dear Sunny!!!
I hope you get some rain before Friday!

I like the online services but am ready to go back to regular services. My brothers church has a large screen now in the parking lot to add to services - it's a small town but since they had this their congregation grew during covid. I would love to sit outside in a camp chair again and listen to services.

wishing you a pleasant day as well.

d Nancy I totally agree.
what a fun exercise program that sounds like
yay on your outside work!!!

hello all.
it is always a joy to be here with you!

dh helped me finish the garage today - what a relief!
a blessing: the very very born organized neighbor came over to borrow a tool and said "wow! the garage looks great!"
dh didn't say anything but I could see he was proud.
I am so happy for him!
today he went through his work bench and got rid of things that I thought would never go!!!!

the young man who helps with gardening, came today and did his magic - he does the really heavy work and boy it's wonderful!
it is always a joy to be here with you!

Watched the morning prayer from Canterbury this morning. Tomorrow is the garden congregation's last morning together, which makes me sad. The Dean is retiring - or being retired. Can't really say anything, because he had been given an additional 5 years, but he is so empathetic, so knowledgeable and I've learned so much, notes galore. Sometimes I'd spend an extra half-again of the time playing back to hear again what he said and scribble it down. He has not taken a day off in 2 years and 2 months so that people could have a morning time "together" through pandemic.

Pulled some delicate plants I could move, in from a rain coming (again). We have been wet. Some plants have been fine, some I think are protesting. Verbena either won't bloom or offers already-faded, brief blossoms. Impatiens are thrilled, celebrating themselves.

LadyM and Sunny, if I could, I would share the cool of the rain. It won't last here, either, of course. Late summer will double-cross the plants.

I'll build a grocery order this evening and go get groceries in the morning.

Goodness gracious, Nancy and blessed have grand toddler-smarts, concepts to share.

Joined Ramblin' in mattress-turning. I can do it by myself with a huff and a puff, but HRH made it so much faster. We can't flip, only turn, the pillow-top type.

Hello. I have just been puttering around today. I changed some sheets, did another LOL, helped DH a few times. Paid a bill, watched our service online and watched parts of it again when dh came in to watch.

Had a long nap. My legs are very tired/sore from my work outside yesterday. I'd gone outside and did the weekly weeding and dug out a bunch of oak seedlings. I edged the flower garden. Tomorrow for sure I need to water.

I've had a relaxing afternoon mostly. If I can count dealing with a high energy teenage male relaxing......

Trying to remember what I did this afternoon....
DD44 came over and we traded some items. I took her extra plant lights, and she took several extra 5-gallon buckets that I had. I cooked a satisfying meal for everyone. I took DD10 to the farm and helped her care for the baby rabbits and chicks. I checked on DH several times (he has been sick for the past 20 hours). I made two trips to the local $ store to get OTC meds and drinks for DH. I mixed a wheelbarrow of soil/compost and spread it in the yard where I'm trying to improve. I watered the yard. I just came back home from delivering DS13 to an open gym to play basketball and lift weights. I'll go back and get him in a couple of hours.

I guess we have a new baby kitten. DS13 found two baby kittens tangled up in a net yesterday when he was weedeating for his boss. One of the kittens was dead. They cut the net to free the other kitten and DS13 brought it home. We put the tiny kitten in a wire cage in the shop overnight with food and water and it seemed okay this morning. I'll call about getting an appt with the vet tomorrow to get checked out and shots needed.
