I don't want to give in but I think I have hit my physical wall.
I bought the small boulders and rocks for the dry river bed - so much cheaper than I expected. They are delivering them tomorrow - so I am hoping to be able to move them with a dolly.
We are not supposed to get rain until Wednesday afternoon. My hope is to get everything planted before the rain.
I didn't finish planting but I did get a lot done.
I didn't work inside but I did get a load of laundry and dishes done.
I am glad I didn't plant the tomatoes -it's supposed to be 48 degrees tonight.
On Thursday afternoon I want to get two cherry tomatoes as we love them roasted and in salads. I am also looking for impatient flowers.

hello d twins you will finish your portfolio - it just means you have reached a temporary mental wall. Everyone, when that happens, can't get past that temporary barrier and IT IS TEMPORARY. Your mind is saturated and needs a break. (not a fake break of a few minutes but a shut down from any responsibility).

hi d everyone - dogs are driving me crazy - barking a lot as people walk by They come but oh my gosh they have gotten into a terrible habit of barking - Don't they know that I am there to protect them - lol they wouldn't protect me lol.
I so wish I had gotten out zinnia seeds before this rain today but I just didn't feel up to it over the weekend. Now I feel like I have to get my head down and work and get back to work on genealogy work but I have all these other things I need to get done too.
I can't hear dh talking upstairs on his Zoom but I think he's done. Dinner is underway.
Dfriend M and I walked a lap and caught up on her screen porch. I got to cuddle with R uby.
bw2, I think the issue is that I've taken a break, and have another coming up, so I'm having trouble focusing right now. Well duh. And today I've been in and out like a slingshot.

After not feeling particularly good last week, I am appreciating the return of energy. It feels good to feel good!
Lots of LifeSkill mentoring happening here. I don't want to bore you with the many details but bottom line is we have implemented a 20 wheel restriction on DS13. He is scrambling to not exceed this while continuing with his plans. Tonight, Ds13 sold a motor bike (aka 2 wheels) to a neighbor friend so he can purchase a dirt bike (aka 2 wheels) tomorrow. DS13 has been saving to buy this dirt bike for several weeks. He was $15 short and asked if I would loan him the money. We are trying to teach him the life skill of living within your means and not borrowing money. I agreed to let him use three days of his daily drink money ($5.00 a day) to come up with the $15 he needed. That meant he wouldn't be able to buy drinks for the next 3 days, which he thought was too big of a consequence. So he got busy and sold the motor bike tonight. Now he can stay under the 20 wheel limit, purchase the dirt bike AND have enough money to buy his daily drinks. Win! Win! Win!
I made a big pot of spaghetti and meat sauce this afternoon. It was a hit. I also made a big bowl of green salad and cooked carrots. No one else ate the vegetables (besides me) but they were available.

blessed, if I were in the market for traditional impatiens, I would be interested in the Beacon variety, 2020, which is resistant to the mildew that has kept many gardeners from enjoying the flower over the last, say, 15 years. They say there is another resistant variety called Imara, but I've never seen it available anywhere near me. Beacons are so-far-so-good for me in the garden and look the same as the ones I used to grow. I've discovered that one plant purchased this year with a Beacon plastic stake in it was actually an Elfin and frankly, I'm tempted to dig it up from permanent bed and put it into an individual pot at least, if not let it go. In our area, it's just chancy to even have the ones without resistance.
Of course, you may be meaning the hybrids called New Guinea, with bigger blooms and more tropical leaves, and those are resistant to mildew, too.
