Twos Day PWYC

Post by Harriet »

What do you accomplish two at a time? Extra meal prep? Piggybacking cleaning spaces while you have supplies out? Two-at-a-time chores like both laundry twins busy, or maybe just one busy while you have your eye on another project? How do you double your efforts, so that when you have accomplished them, you can have more fun?

Let us know what Twos you're doing on Tuesday!

And speaking of traveling along Two-by-Two... ..

I'm heading outside to walk a few laps this morning. This will be our hottest day this week. I don't think the humidity is as high as last week, tho. We'll see!

Good Morning!

Happy Anniversary wishes to Mystery & DH! Sorry I'm a day late.

I woke up this morning with a stuffy nose and sinus pressure. I hope DD11 didn't share her germs with me.

DS13 boss was released from hospital last night and told DS13 to come to work today.

Trash is at the road ready for weekly pickup today.

Next up - working my way through dailies as fast as possible. Reminding myself they are dailies....not TAKE ALL DAYlies. :D

I gotta get moving! I got in the walk but somehow my body feels like it's done right now, and the day's only started! On to the rest of a.m. routine, then I need to get out of the house for several errands.

This morning dh and I tripled up on a road trip to the thrift store for drop off only, then we dropped of some tires at the landfill and then we picked up a large bag of bird seed on our way home. I also washed a bunch of pots and pans this morning. A/C is on and all the windows are closed because it's hot and humid here today.

Sitting in front of a fan to cool off. I played in the garden watering and harvesting. Today I brought in half dozen onions, double handful of strawberries, a dozen tomatoes and a half dozen peppers, and a cutting of basil to put in water indoors.

I probably already shared this tip but just in case.....I discovered storing vegetables in mason jars with plastic lids is a game changer. I was told they will keep for 5 weeks using this method, however I use vegetables up too fast to test that. I just know it is super simple to bring vegetables in from garden, wash and drop them into glass jars. Double benefit is when we open the refrigerator doors, the vegetables look so nice and are easy to see in glass jars.

We had 2 medical appts yesterday, we have 2 medical appts today and one tomorrow. It seems this is our normal. I can't blame it on getting old because 2 out of those 5 appts are DD11's. ANYway, DH has dental appt this afternoon and I'll take DD11 to family doctor this evening. DD11 is feeling MUCH better today after 3 doses of steroids. Her fever is gone.

I am having an "Oh my, time is going by fast" type of a day.

hello dearest Harriet, Cathy, twins, Nancy, lady, and everyone!!!!!

Happy Tuesday!

it's going to be a very hot day today. I had planned on getting out in the garden at 7 am/even 8 am but I had a rough night sleep. First I couldn't fall asleep and then my sleep was on and off. in other words I have had a slow start. That's okay - I will just have to change my plans - nice thing about having ADHD is that, if I can focus, I can change up the plans without a problem.

Something I have never shared: I am a binger with everything - it comes in a wave and goes out without me noticing it. My personality stays even but I tend to binge when I over-goal or don't balance my home. Right now, I am in a very good spot where I don't have that do it all thinking, or eat it all without thinking, or go for perfection. I went through that especially after the move out and move in. dd older and dd younger and I had great conversations about my all or nothing times. I am trying to keep track of when and why it happens. The girls have been helping me when I get into that mode which has become a huge blessing! The non thinking is hard for me. I will text them when I am in a place where balance starts going out the window and they help me focus. (doing only one thing at a time). It's such an uncomfortable feeling to be in that mode. My brain is alllll over the place. it's rare that I ask for help from them; but, when I can't simplify or think too big, the girls help me look to the next right thing.

alrighty
watering zone 4 and zone 1 A in the garden
watered all flower pots with fertilizer. I will have to do that again at 4 - no fertilizer of course.
Tuesday is bathroom day
I have to take dh to a glaucoma dr. appt. at 12:15 pm.
it is always a joy to be here with you!

AARRRGGGHHHH!!! How did I miss Mr & Mrs Mystery's Anniversary yesterday? I even have a list printed out right in front of me of the month's special days. I accomplished so much yesterday but evidently not wishing you two a Happy Anniversary. So today you get DOUBLE THE ANNIVERSARY WISHES. Hope it was a good one for you.

Dh put the laundry in this morning and in to the dryer. I went down and folded both loads and put them in the car. He brought them in for me when he came home for lunch. (he's working today).

We plan to go to DGS9's "Moving Up" ceremony tomorrow morning at his school in Churchville (where all our dks also went). I'm hoping the office will tell us we can go around back afterwards to pay a visit to the Memorial Garden for our DGD, Zoey. Hard to believe she's been gone 11 years. This garden was put in by DS-A and accidently ended up with the paving blocks making a heart. That was so special! DGS will be moving to the middle school (6th grade) in the Fall. Our step GGS7 will be going into the 1st grade at the same school. Our step twin GGS's will begin going to kindergarten there. (The 7-year old is Brey who we all prayed so much for with his seizures. He's doing so well right now and we're all so grateful).

Been doing my 'surface cleaning' and am making good progress. As soon as I put the LOL away I'll do the bedroom and the bathroom. Then I believe it will be exercise.

Watched the 1st period of the Tampa Bay Lightning vs Colorado Avalanche last night then we went to bed. Tampa did end up winning the 3rd game 6/2. Unfortunately "fans" (and I say this loosely) threw lots of noise maker paddles AND beer cans on the ice to celebrate the win. Even the captain, Steve Stamkos, asked them to stop as they were hitting the players. Even the announcers told them to stop. After Tampa beat the Rangers at home people threw those clappers on the ice and we figured they were Ranger fans, but now I wonder. Can't fix stupid.

I'm looking for ideas to get rid of ants. We've had the real small 'sugar' ants I believe and had ant traps out for them. Don't think they really worked. But now we have medium sized ants and I've been researching that.
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!
