A beautiful mid-summer Friday!
How hot is it where you are? I wonder if Lynlee has any snow yet.

Re: A beautiful mid-summer Friday!
It's going to be another rain free day, unfortunately.
Cleaning lady comes today. I've already made the bed. The dresser and my bedside table are clear.
Not many dishes to do. Dh and I were both affected by what we think was the chicken after supper last night. Too bad, because we both really enjoyed this option for supper this summer. I might get another one next week. I need to think about it first.
Tonight we will have Chinese. There is a restaurant that dh wants to try. I think it's actually a Thai fusion type place, but I'm not sure.
Dh watered all the veggies this morning.

Re: A beautiful mid-summer Friday!
I am up and about this morning and tired. After I was thinking I needed an early bedtime last night, dh started the old movie "Pretty Woman" and I stayed up later than I should have to watch it. The crew will be a little later this a.m. so I was thinking I could "sleep in" just a little bit. I need to use my time to straighten up this kitchen table area - what I wanted to do yesterday afternoon when they were jackhammering. I'm on my second cup of coffee and need to get moving.

Re: A beautiful mid-summer Friday!
We've had little rain as well, Cathy. (BTW thank you for starting us. It's nice to see your smiling face first thing!) In fact dh was just saying it's the longest he can remember since working here that they haven't had to mow. We've had a few spits but that's it. Rained around us but not here.
Dh, DD and DGS10 (A's) have gone to Buffalo to watch development practice for the new draftees for the Buffalo Sabres. Then a guy across from us gave dh and dd tickets to tomorrow's scrimmage game (The French Connection I believe it's called). They're ecstatic. They do know one of the drafted players from Lakeland and his Dad (who is also going to be there both days so I'm sure they'll get to see him as well and probably the player.)
I woke up early not feeling at all well. I really didn't want dh to know I was under the weather. DD was sick for just a while a couple of days ago and I wonder if I picked up a bug she had. But, at any rate I feel better right now. I'm s2s and meds done, bed made and now think I'll just rest for a while. I had planned to go do some more shopping this morning but think I'll be putting that off for now.

Re: A beautiful mid-summer Friday!
Cathy - Thanks for the start and it is good to see your CI.
Today is the day!!! JOYFUL HAPPY emotions are spilling over that we have reached this day!! Today is the last day of camp for this summer. Five weeks of camp have been accomplished. DD11 told me yesterday "This has been the best summer ever!"
Yesterday after driving 30 minutes to drop DD11 off at camp, I drove another 25 minutes to a big athletic type of store. I was finally successful in finding shoes that fit my feet. If I wear this one kind of shoe, then my feet don't hurt. I prefer buying shoes online, but my feet size has changed so I needed to try, try, try, try, try, try, try, try, try shoes on until I found the perfect size, shape, model, and brand. Sucess!! Now I can have decent looking shoes again! I am somewhat embarrassed how shabby the only pair of shoes I wear look. They are so comfortable and cause no pain, so I have been wearing them regardless of how sad they look. I have many other shoes in my closet, but they make my feet hurt so I don't wear them.
Routines are done. Now it is time to walk and trim shrubs/trees. BB on my next break.

Re: A beautiful mid-summer Friday!
LM I went through painful shoes a while back and declttered them.
I have been up since the beginning of the breaking of dawn.
With a low. Took care of that. Then walked the dog.
I prepped the next paint project swept in the shed, did some watering.
Journal & planning done.
Doing better now.
Wishing you all a great weekend.

Break #2. Walk is done, Shrubs and trees were trimmed until I became hot and sweaty.
I continue to be fascinated when the effects of stress clearly show up in measurable body functions. Remember when DD11 had an emotional meltdown Sunday night at a swimming party? The stress of it showed up in many of my health factors that I track. Here are two examples....
Heart Rate Variable and
Sleep score
On the good side.....most of my life is low stress.
I meant to take DD11 to buy school supplies after camp yesterday. I totally forgot about it until after we came home. I will try again today to get that accomplished.
Cathy - Maybe I'll see you at the Chinese restaurant tonight.
I gave DH the choice of Italian or Chinese for tonight's meal. He chose Chinese so I will pick up an assortment of orders before leaving the city tonight.

Re: A beautiful mid-summer Friday!
LadyM, for walking I have a specific shoe that I get from an athletic shoe store with the same "build" every time. I should consistently wear those for walking but I don't always put them on. In the summer I can wear a good Chaco or Teva. I think my feet may be swelling a little because my Eccos have been feeling tighter this summer.
I am so enjoying the quiet right now! I s2s-ed and next up is to clear and dust kitchen table and put a cover on it finally!
I have to admit that I am feeling so overwhelmed I haven't looked at my notebook in several days. I feel like every time I plan something it goes wrong. I was thinking on Wed night that dh was having drinks out and I could work a little upstairs, then I ordered from Door dash and ten minutes later he's coming home and suggests we go out to eat. So last night I was wanting to go out and he never let me know if we were going out and then said I should have just set it up and let him know.
And he was in a mood then because I wanted to go out, and also they brought a big trailer for trash and debris and left it in the driveway and he couldn't get his car in "because they parked it so far away from the garage." Well that was so someone could hopefully load up the cabinets and take them away and they were leaving room to use both garage doors for retrieval.
So last night we took his convertible - that's usually in the garage anyway - to friends' house. They have an extra garage for their boat that is at the river now, so they can store it.
Vent over, I hope. I'm just feeling edgy and kind of out of control. I thought I had until at least Wed a.m. to empty kitchen, then they were ready to come on Tuesday afternoon and I've been behind all week.
Later: I cleared kitchen table and got a plastic tablecloth on it. Now I'll put back what I need on it.
Whoops, dfriend M down the street is coming by. Visiting with her is always good for me!

Re: A beautiful mid-summer Friday!
the village is running slow for me today.
d twins it's hard having your home torn apart. it's hard time wise, mess wise and visual clutter abounds from the project. It will be good for you to get back into your planning journal. I felt the same way with the workmen here - I can only handle so much visually that it overwhelmed me. thinking of you while you are going through the remodel.
hello d lady (((sweet dd)))
yay on it being the last day of camp!!!
hello d Nancy yay on decluttering the shoes that were not good for you!
glad you are doing better now.
hello d dee we are having rain today as well!
how fun for your dh, dd and d grandson!
I hope you feel great as all day!!!
hello d Cathy yay on cleaning lady coming today!
I am thinking of d Lynn too.
hello dear everyone.

Re: A beautiful mid-summer Friday!
Glad you're looking forward to a good visit, Twins.
I'm feeling a bit better but taking things slow and easy. Actually I just did a 'plan' (oh there's that word again!) to do my "sick" cleaning plan. Not too long at any one thing and have each thing listed individually. So off I go to my 'next thing'. (I'm almost thinking that what I've experienced this morning is a severe migraine. Perhaps coupled with a tiny bit of a bug.)
A BIG remodeling project can always do that -I think especially to a SHE. When the workmen were present for DD's big kitchen project last year I spent an awful lot of time barricaded in our room(s). We did have the good option of putting everything (sorted in an organized manner) to rolling shelving units that DD/Dsonil had brought from his DMom's house. But things were still a big mess for some time. But the end result was so worth it! Love that kitchen!I'm just feeling edgy and kind of out of control
