Slow Start Saturday PWYC
It's past ten and we're just now getting moving?
I know many of us are early risers, but not me! Whatever start we get, we'll make happen what needs to happen today, for sure.
Have a happy day!

Re: Slow Start Saturday PWYC
Dh went to Torah study - he's already set up an evening out with dfriends tonight. I may need to guard my energy a bit this weekend.
Picked zinnias and tomatoes last night and took a nosegay to dfriend M.

Re: Slow Start Saturday PWYC
because of my headache, we were not able to go to the important wake service. I feel bad but there was nothing I could do. I se lept most of the day but I feel terrible that I couldn't drive dh to Indiana. I was fearful that it would have gone bad along the way and dh can not drive on the highway anymore. He gets anxious and over corrects his driving. (rather dangerous). If it had been today I could have gone easily.
My head feels like a wrung out washcloth.
I haven't started yet.
dogs are running after each other in the house so I might as well get them outside -
kitchen needs work but I am determined to finish the back.
1. pick up tags etc. that I threw down - garbage
2. plant the few plants
3. water the pots
4. weed the flower bed - shouldn't take long
(I figure this will take an hour).
ground is dry - water those areas.
kitchen a mess, family room - bomb went off

bw2, I'm glad that you were wise and cancelled your trip to the wake. Better to be safe and take care of yourself and dh.

Re: Slow Start Saturday PWYC
I slept in this Sat. yea! Did not get up till 7:30.
Was up & down in the nite. Finally took a vit. that helped.
We had T-storms rain lightening & some thunder too around mid-nite it was cool to see it.
I made biscuits only ate one.
Dgson is helping with a yard sale / estate sale for his granny according to his sister.
I pulled a few weeds and picked up after the dog.
The small town 5 mi. from here has car show Sun. Yd. sale today all over their town.
Bfast which I am sure is done by now. I doubt I need any more "stuff".
Saw on fb you could put donations in amz. boxes by a label and send it back to them.
Interesting idea.

Re: Slow Start Saturday PWYC
Saturday is my one day of the week to sleep in. I woke on time then lollygagged in bed for an hour just because I could.
The first 3 routines are done. I've cooked a big cast iron skillet of eggs, meats, and vegetables for breakfast.
My arm and shoulder are sore from painting. I will reduce the amount of wall space that I paint each day until the soreness disappears. Baby stepping my way through this project. I'm not fast but I am consistent!
Last night DS14 met with a buyer for one of his dirt bikes. The buyer drove over an hour to come to our home and brought 3 of his friends with him. DS14 made another successful sale with a profit. DH typically stays with DS14 during these meetings, but he was with his DMom. So I was the adult having DS14 back during this transaction. I really am not comfortable doing this but it went well.
Yesterday our time with the elderberry group was enjoyable but short. We left DD11 at home alone, so we just ate and came back home. The rest of the group were continuing their adventures at the festival and nearby shopping center.
Team cleaning has been done.
My plans for the day include -
** 4-8pm Back to school bash. The kids will have water slides, bouncy houses, and multiple outdoor games. There will be plenty of food with hot dogs, hamburgers and snow cones provided. I am the responsible adult overseeing the water slides from 4-6pm then I'll just hang around until our kids are ready to come home.
** Progress on painting DS14 east bedroom wall.
** DH will take his DMom to her hair appt and will stay with her while the new nurse is coming for a visit.

Re: Slow Start Saturday PWYC
I've measured, researched, and ordered slipcovers for the loveseat in DS14 bedroom. This is an old piece of furniture that seems sturdy enough to stand up to the abuse it receives from teenage boys. However, the flowery pattern of the loveseat doesn't match his room decor so I'm covering it with a solid color slipcover.
Dishwasher is loaded and running. (Thank you, DH). I've emptied the dryer and put those clean clothes away.

Re: Slow Start Saturday PWYC
I am almost done with zone 1
I hadn't realized how many weeds I had
we also have an easement that the neighbors kitty corner to dh and I that our neighbors do not know it's their's to care for. I will finish pulling weeds from that area this afternoon. I have to keep dogs in the house as the wire will zap them if they try to come over.
I still feel bad about not going to the service yesterday - I wish I would have felt ok.
the most adorable thing is happening near our house. One of the neighbors kids had a bunch of friends come over for a party - water slides etc. They also had this huge bubble machine that went off - little girls were buried by the bubbles. I have never seen anything like this - adorable. it was at least 15 ft x 15 ft by 3 feet high of bubbles. The bubbles just kept coming! I loved all those giggling little kids running in and out of the bubbles - they had bubbles in their hair and hanging off of them. Adorable and so joyous!!!

so cute.
time to eat lunch and then finish in the back.
then finish the weeding in the flower bed - all grasses
pick. up in the patio area
water out in front
