(((Dee))) I hope you were able to take a long nap today.
Blessed - I've never seen a dessert like that! WOW!
Nancy - plums and grapes? That is a lot of fruit! BWTG
DH wasn't able to nap so he left to go be with his DMom. He took cpap with him in case he can get some sleep there tonight.
I just realized..... DS14 and DD11 are going to a lock-in tonight. DH will be with his DMom. I will be ALL ALONE tonight. I can't remember the last time I spent the night alone. I think the last time I was alone all night was when I used to travel for work so that would be over a decade ago.

(((LadyM))) How far of a drive is it if you need to go to your MIL's house?
We ordered a pizza for supper. We went out for a "greasy cheeseburger" for dh last night. We also stopped to pick up a new food saver because dh wants to stock up on meat this weekend because he thinks the chest freezer is looking kind of empty.

Re: do you hear the music.. Conga Friday!!!
(LadyM) I am sorry. It is sad even when the person is ready and happy to go.
Thank you for the happy dance this morning, blessed.
I was up early and drank my coffee out on the front porch before it got hot. Enjoyed that. DH was outside pulling weeds.
Study today was lovely, I really enjoyed it. Took off to store and got a huge order. A lot of big heavy things to load. I did it as fast as I could to stay ahead of the rain clouds overhead. For once I got loaded and on my way before it rained on me. DH called and wanted a hamburger so I stopped and got that and took it home too. We don't do much fast food but I think he had worked hard all morning and was too tired to make something for himself. So, after we ate, we were back outside.
The part he put more material on to have it drain away from the house needed textured so we did that after I retaped that part and put the plastic on the wall. Mixing and doing the texture wasn't easy because we kept blowing a fuse, the GFI switch kept popping. DH thinks the air compressor and the mixer was coming on at the same time. We're so glad it didn't do that yesterday.
Rain started about 6:00.
I had about 4 plum trees up north but they weren't the big round plums we buy at the store, they were the little ones about the size of large olives. We called them acorn plums. We used to can them and they were good, a little naturally spicy. I also had a young peach tree that died when it bloomed and we had a late freeze and a snow. That was the end of my pretty peach tree. I keep trying to grow avocado trees, but they are pretty big and take years and years to produce.

DMIL home is 9 miles from ours (18 miles round trip). It is an easy drive on familiar country roads that we have driven thousands of times. Most of it is 55mph and typically only see 1 or 2 vehicles during the drive.
Change of plans. DBIL volunteered to stay with DMIL tonight, so DH came home.
DS14 is home from work with lots of chatter while telling about his day. This afternoon DS14 went with his boss for a 2 hour drive to trade 1 antique not running motorcycle for 2 working motorcycles. DS14 does the posting of items on FB marketplace that his boss wants to sell or trade.
All that high energy I had this morning has disappeared. I'm going to bed after the kids are delivered to the lock-in.

You’ve got quite the harvest, Nancy! Now I want plum kuchen. I couldn’t tell you how many years it’s been since I had some.
Those are adorable mice, blessed! As for the delphiniums, it could be a microclimate thing.
(((LadyM))) Praying for strength and peace for all of you, especially your DH.
I hope you get better sleep tonight, Dee!
Poor DD appears to be having a panic attack. She’s been stressed out because she’s been hard at work on a game for a game jam, which is where someone sets a theme, and maybe criteria, and the participants have a set amount of time to create a game. The game is due Monday, and she’s worried because she’s not done programming yet, and she needs time to debug. This isn’t paid work, but it gets her work out there. … She seems to be doing better now.
I need to go downstairs and finish DH’s shirts. They’ve been in the washer since dinner time. I’m going to have to run them through a rinse cycle so they’re not quite so wrinkled.
Enjoy your evening and have sweet dreams, everyone!

Re: do you hear the music.. Conga Friday!!!
Couple weeks ago DH had cut the next door neighbor's lawn when his mower was broken and they had people coming for his birthday party. Today he stopped and gave us a key lime pie. One of those big really nice expensive ones with special decoration on top. Yikes! DH did tell him he certainly didn't expect anything for doing that. Sigh... sometimes people have a hard time just accepting a nice gesture. Anyway, it sure is delicious!
I ran around here and tried to get caught up a little. I helped DH take all the tools around to the garage. Right now they're all in MY side of the garage.
Got the laundry off the drying rack in the living room. Brought the hang stuff from the laundry room to my room. About half of that put away. The rest of the groceries from this afternoon put away. Dishes done. Bunch of odds and ends done in the kitchen.
It's a start. Tomorrow we paint.

Re: do you hear the music.. Conga Friday!!!
I appreciate the sweet dreams and comfy beds wishes. slept more poorly last night than I have in a year. Napped today and plan to be on schedule again.
Today I kept the two younger of dd42's boys while the two older went with their mother to various appts. I was glad to get over there just after they left and leave just before they returned. I didn't want to see anyone older than children today. Looking like something a very foolish cat dragged in.
Watered the garden beds this evening.
Hoping Mystery's dd has success and accomplishment and relief.
