First Fall Saturday
The village is open for the first fall Saturday ahead. Thinking of any in the path of storms today, and LadyM with the unrelenting heat and drought.
We're enjoying the change in weather here so very much!

Re: First Fall Saturday
Dcleaning lady will be here soon to clean. I'm going to ask her to dust and vacuum, skip bathrooms (i'll do myself) and work on the screened porch and kitchen cabinets. Screened porch needs a good dusting/cleaning in the corners of the floor and there are fingerprints on kitchen cabinets still. Some of kitchen cabinet glass needs cleaning also. (They cleaned the glass but some cleaning wasn't...uhhhh, to my standards?)
We had a fire outside last night - lovely clear evening w perfect temps. Dfriend M, her dh, and R uby came over.

Re: First Fall Saturday
I had another headache but on the other side of my head. I am wondering if the storms around the country are affecting me somehow. it makes sense as the barometer has been having quite a few lows in pressure lately.
I have asked dd older to help me with dd younger's old closet - I am slowly making dd Youngers old room into a room for me. (sewing, office, etc.).
I have also asked dh to clean marks on the walls on French door in the dining room. If he does it - wonderful - if not we can do it together.
goal - if dd can help:
dd Youngers old closet - put it together again
set up bed.
goal if she can't do the above today:
pick up the weeds I had took care of the other day.
work on weeds in back on right.
soon: start fall clean up.

Re: First Fall Saturday
Good morning!
I'm enjoying a slow start this morning. My body didn't want to sleep in, but it has been a pleasant change to not be watching the clock and pushing myself. 41 SHE cards have been completed but it took me 3 hours (twice as long as normal).
DH has arrived home from DMIL home. He was able to get some sleep last night off and on. DMIL had an accident in the middle of the night requiring clothes and bedding changed. DMIL can change her own clothes although it takes her a long time to accomplish it. DH changed the sheets then sat outside the bathroom door while DMIL changed into fresh PJ's. DMIL has never lost her humor - she light-heartedly shook her finger at Sassy (her dog that sleeps with her) and told Sassy to not do that again. DMIL knew Sassy wasn't the one that wet the bed but instead of being upset or embarrassed, she added humor to the moment.
Perfect Dog Sam woke DS14 and me up during the night with a weird howling. Sam was sound asleep making that noise! Sam didn't want to wake up and ignored us when we checked on him. He just curled up and went back to sleep. We assume the howling noise was a part of a dream he was having. Weird!
I had a gathering of DFriends at the local cafe on my calendar this morning. With DMIL care, kids mentoring and trying to make take better care of myself, the gathering was too big of a stretch. Maybe next time.

Re: First Fall Saturday
Lady M, dd's DBiscuit usually howls only at particular fire trucks going by on the Main St about 600' away. But once in a while she'll do the same howl in her sleep. They can be so funny.
I began to not feel so well during the night and was awake off and on. Feel better this morning but think I have a bit of a cold. I'm sure my body has been on such 'high alert' for so long and a lot of sleepless nights that caught up with me. Yet, F itbit says I had 10 hours sleep last night.
Today is Halloween here at the campground. We'll be inundated with lots of kids for Trick or Treat. I had decided I was not going to 'do' it this year and I'm kinda glad with the lower temps and somewhat of a cold that I decided that. DDIL & DS-R were just here with their 2 dogs. She's going soon to pick up her grandson for that today. Told her I didn't get anything and she offered me some of theirs, but she can just give DGGS a bit of hers for me. Dh will be leaving in a while with the car so they won't think anyone is here anyway. DDIL said temp tonight is supposed to go to 37. Ewww.....I hate seeing those numbers.
DS-R/DDIL bought a new RV at the Hershey show last week. Guess they're pulling theirs out next week to take it home to empty it. Then they're hauling it to Hershey, PA to trade it in for the new one. Just in time to get it back in here I think.
Dh started his regimen of the antibiotics/Pepto Bismol again this morning. We'll just continue until they're gone. Twins asked if he'd had any symptoms -He did say he'd been burping a lot lately but other than that not really. But who knows how long it's been there. Seems like if he had it when he was in the hospital in June that it would have been spotted, but who knows? Hopefully once he gets through the 2 weeks of this he'll be good to go.
Dh plans to go watch DGSons 10 & 23 race tonight. He went last night for just a short time but was too cold. He's dressing for winter tonight. (I paused here a bit to go find a knit hat for dh -found one!)
When dh saw cardiologist yesterday he asked him how he felt & dh said good/more energized. Dr said: "I was hoping you'd say, Peppy!" And dh said that too. We had some good laughs with him. He did reiterate to us how frustrated he was still with all that happened with dh over the past 3 months and he couldn't do anything to help him until other medical facilities did their part.
I see people out in shorts and then I see them bundled.

Re: First Fall Saturday
Well I’ve spent the morning getting ready for the storm. All the cushions from my outside room are now stacked in my dinning area. We have an alcove in our lanai so the stained furniture will be protected.
Just looked at the weather channel and they are saying the hurricane has shifted a bit to the left and it says on course it will most likely hit the Tampa area. That will give Harmony, Blessed mom and daughter and myself a little bit more breathing room. We shall see. By tomorrow we should have a better idea of where the storm will make landfall.
