Re: Wednesday PWYC - Let's do it!
Good morning!
My day is proceeding smoothly so far. DD11 has been delivered to school with a plan for her day. She is going on a field trip (pumpkin patch/maze) during school and will have Academic Team try-outs after school.
I have developed a menu plan for today and have entered my food plan into cronometer. I am feeling hopeful.
Today is the last day of homeschool before fall break starts. DS14 and I need to work together on a few assignments that confuse him. I would like to spend some extra time on future homeschool lesson plans so it will be ready to start again after fall break.
Later today I'll attend a planning meeting for children teachers at church. We have a potato bar happening at church tonight, but I am going to take a pass at eating that meal. I prefer to get a drink and sit with some friends to visit while they eat. Later I will attend group Bible study with DH. DS14 will go to open gym after church so it will be a late night for us.

Re: Wednesday PWYC - Let's do it!
Morning…
Up and dressed early as the insurance adjuster was coming this morning. Really I joyed their visit as they are a husband and wife team that travel all over the country doing physical inspections on damaged properties. They were great about answering our questions and how the process works.
I need to do a grocery run and am thinking about going to the one that is further from my house. I am also debating abt going to Sams as I am out of all my seafood, chicken and ground beef. Remember I lost everything out of my fridge and freezer.
Sweetie is working on taking down the lanai screens that are damaged. I would go to the store while he is doing that but I want to be around in case he needs help.
Need to make my breakfast and get my second cup of coffee going. See y’all later…

Re: Wednesday PWYC - Let's do it!
LadyM, I'm glad you have a break in the action with fall breaking happening for dkids. You'll need some extra time for grieving and recovering and catching up, and don't feel it has to be done in one day.
Despite my cheery "Let's do it!" I'm having trouble with liftoff. I need my brunch, then I'll be free for genealogy. I need to be at Staples at 11 for my TSA precheck appt.
Rant: Dh last night announced that dd is to call me about us going there for Thanksgiving. I kind of lost it with him, reminding him that we've had the kitchen upheaval, then the New Orleans trip, then the High Holy Days and that I am just now getting back to focusing on finishing the writing, which is due the day after Thanksgiving. I feel like no one thinks about what's important to me right now. They give lip service as long as it's convenient, but when something else comes up there's no thought to my goal, which has been OMM for five years. Dd said she misses us - I know she does - but she can come here. She doesn't want to come here because she's on the outs with her bestie here and doesn't want to have to deal making up with her or even ignoring her.
We're going to deal with supper this evening - probably will go out.

Re: Wednesday PWYC - Let's do it!
actually when I saw "let's do it!" I imagined a cheerleader with pom pom's (like Diane in Denmark) Rah rah rah-ing us into the beginning of our day!!!
My response: Yes we can!!!
my dh used to say "I was born ready"
thank you for starting us d twins!
it's okay that your lift off isn't a hop up and get going! I had that yesterday (lol and most days).
that's actually, how I feel about dd younger - she can come here easier than I can go there when I am super busy.
I will pay for 1/2 her ticket and bring her here - she is young and can adjust easier to travel - If the ticket isn't too bad I don't mind paying for thanksgiving or Christmas ticket.
hi d rose I am glad that they came to evaluate your home!
have a good grocery run! it's hard to loose everything in the fridge/freezer.
hi d lady I hope your dd has a wonderful time on her school trip
if you can't figure out something with homeschool - is there someone that helps you understand what is being taught?
enjoy your bible study tonight
hello d everyone!!!!

Re: Wednesday PWYC - Let's do it!
It is very very wet outside - I know the dogs want me outside working but I know it will be a very muddy day!
tomorrow the cleaning angels are coming over, which means that I have to do a grand put away and quick sweep.
I also want to clean the fridge
if I can:
cut down Hosta's
cut down the brown eyed Susan
take out annuals in back - let coral salvia dry so that I can have the seeds next year.
dog stuff
house:
look for trash first
look for donations
I really want to wash the 3 season room floor or I might ask the ladies

Re: Wednesday PWYC - Let's do it!
And I'm coming back through. The TSA precheck took two trips. The email said I only needed my "Enhanced Driver's License" which I had. The software at Staples, however, wanted a passport, so I returned home for it, complaining all the while. And when I got back there was someone there so I had to wait. Anyway, it's done and I treated myself to a latte at Dunkin' Donuts and felt virtuous about not wanting a donut.
Tomorrow I have a mammogram. I'm checking some of the things off my list but not trying to do it all in one week, especially out of the house things.
bw2, thanks for understanding about not wanting to "drop everything and take off to see dd." I'd love a trip to NYC/NJ after 25 Nov, when this project is done.

Re: Wednesday PWYC - Let's do it!
Let's do it! -I'm trying at least. Trying out a new system of 'cards' on my computer. Just trying to keep myself motivated. Have accomplished quite a bit so far (albeit not enough sleep -but what's new?)
Between dh and me we managed to get one lol done this morning. A friend was at the laundry room as I folded our laundry and he came back in to load my hampers in the car for me. Random act of kindness -very much appreciated.
Dh has been in for lunch. The cardiologist's PA called me a while ago and we discussed his symptoms of intense itching and hoarseness going on. Dr really thinks it doesn't have to do with the eliquis but we decided to wait another week and see what happens. The thought is more that the culprit was all the antibiotics he was on. He finished those last Thursday (which reminds me I need to contact that office to see what's happened with the lab requisition for his test in another 3 weeks.) We're thinking that the build up in his system might last a week or two after he's off them. Can't think of another thing that's changed that could be causing it.
I've started sorting and packing -well at least it's "started". Only have 3 weeks to finish everything up. Tomorrow will be a 'lost' day. Dh has an appointment with his GP at 10am and I'm sure he'll want me to go with him. He'll be getting his flu shot then. I have an appointment at 2 to get my hair cut. Friday afternoon I see my GP and will get my flu shot.
Lady M, be gently kind to yourself. So glad you're going to get a break from schooling. Sure you can use it.
Twins, rant/vent away. I'd feel the same way.
Went over and watched DS/DDIL get their new 5th Wheel parked and did a tour. Really nice. What's nice with the newer RV's is that there's no carpet in there. We were always told there had to be carpet in order for the slide outs to work. Evidently they've found a way around that now. So much nicer.

Re: Wednesday PWYC - Let's do it!
I can do it was my thought today!
I had some desk stuff to deal with paperwork out of the house did that.YEA!
Got tags for one rig and title applied for in my name accomplished.
Did leg stretches while standing in line for 30 min. so I did not feel like it was a total waste.
[Saw ex sil's dad and got a hug!]
i stopped by the store for my next batch of cooking adventures has been accomplished.
More bfast hand pies or mini ones not sure.
And later homemade meat pies got stuff for those first I need to do a parchment pattern to figure out what size to cut out.
Put tags on rig next up. Done!
Meat is cooking for the next batch of make ahead stuff.
Next up chop mushers. X
wrapped up cooked meat & it's in the fridge.
Pie dough is made and chilling to use later after I have prepped the fillings.
Working on the dishes got first batch through.
Walked at sunset.
