I'm having a slower paced day. I am doing minimum normal things but nothing extra. I am low energy, so I am resting as much as possible. DH volunteered to take DD11 to her Fall Carnival at school tonight.

Hopefully, I'll be back to normal speed tomorrow.

Ended up going to our favorite Italian restaurant with our dneighbors. Hadn't planned to go today but when I talked with her I joked that we had tonight free -and lo' and behold so did they and their son. So we met them there about an hour & a half later. Got home just before dark. Don't do so well driving after dark any more.

After we got home dh's phone rang and he couldn't answer it. Then discovered he was missing a hearing aid! :o Went out to look in and around the car -not there. Called the restaurant and they couldn't find them. Then dh got to wondering about when he changed shirts before we left. When we went in the bathroom I could hear one whistling and determined it wasn't the one he had. Finally found it lying on the shelf over our vanity so it must have flown when he took off his shirt. Fortunately he hadn't flown it down the sink. Oh so thankful. Was so afraid it was going to be a very expensive evening!
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!

Oooh Dee, glad you found the hearing aid. Once in a while DH gets in the shower and has to step out quickly because he still has his aids in. Not a good idea to get them wet. He's very good about putting them in every day. They make such a difference.

Another day in the yard. We got another post out and replaced. Then DH hooked up a strap to another post and we pulled it straight with the lawn tractor. And put reinforcement into that post. Then we tried the same with another and discovered it was all bent at the bottom so we got ready to replace that one also. A couple post down the line I noticed another all bent at the bottom and had to tell DH the bad news, we now have another to replace. So hurray we have 2 more to do that we weren't aware of. We thought we were done replacing. DH went out and bought replacements. This is getting very very expensive.

This whole thing is the never-ending hurricane repair job. Never. Ending. Ever.

I pulled my sweaters and my warmer PJ's out of the drawers in the master. I will have to figure out where to put them in the other closet. May need another little bin. I can't believe it's this cold so soon. I'm sure it will warm up again in a bit.

I ready to call it quits on the day.

I did get some paperwork sorting done before we left to sing.

The singing went really well. It was a songs from movies set with a lot of Disney. We started with Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah and ended with Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. When I sang Que Sera Sera, two of the ladies knew every word. When dh mentioned that, one of them said, "I can't remember what I had for breakfast but I remember all the words to these songs!" Before the last song, dh asked, "What's the longest word you know?" One of the gentlemen who is pretty unresponsive throughout the concerts said, "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!" I was so happy to know we are reaching him too!

After singing, we picked up a sale item for dd, then downloaded an update to the car. Then Costco with a return plus shopping and home for dinner. I was starving and had a hunger headache because I had eaten earlier than usual today. I hadn't bought any snack foods from Costco, so it was a long drive home (except I found a Halloween chocolate bar from last year's stash and had that along with the last swallow of water and a headache pill.)

After dinner I didn't get anything done but sit and read social media posts.

Dd and I were thinking of going apple picking tomorrow but dgs6 is likely sick. I have to go over to see her tomorrow to take the item and to drop off her car seat and flip mine to rear facing in preparation for dgs1.5's weekend stay. I'll be taking him out in the car a few times.

Maybe I can force myself to do a round of physio before bed. I'm in bad shape.

Much appreciated the link and sent it on to the 4 children and HRH with the subject, "Who Wins?"
I had heard about the zebra so stared at the photo until I, too, could see all he was doing.
Penguin says, "talk to the wing", lol.

lucylee, that's a funny cake to me. I hope it's not just because I'm in an age group that heard this!

Ds loved the cake! We all had a nice time but it’s nice to have it quiet again. With 9 of us, all talking at once it seems, it gets kinda crazy sometimes.
Tomorrow is another day.
