Good morning!

((((Dove))))

Twins - thanks for the start and the encouraging words.

I woke DD11 up twice and then went to a different part of the house to do my AM things. I came back through that part of the house 30 minutes later to find that she had returned to bed. All's well that ends well. DD11 made it to school on time and we discussed the consequences when we make a decision to turn over and go back to sleep.

Homeschool with DS14 is underway. We are tweaking the lesson plan today and doing things a little differently.

Thank you for the reminder Harriet, will be keeping Dove and her medical people in my thoughts today.

I need to s2s and get busy, but I feel like I'm just soaking up the quiet of the house this a.m. I have laundry going and kitchen mostly cleaned up - actually dh did most of it earlier. Dh went to the grocery twice yesterday and I forgot to ask him to get milk both times, so I'll need to go later, quickly.

Today I swap back to the Kinship Determination Report to finish it. And I need to proof the research report because I'm delivering it tomorrow.

LadyM, I know exactly how dd11 felt this morning.

Morning …

Thinking of Dove and her dh as wel

Went to my 8:00 exercise class, call home and worked outside cutting and trimming bushes and trees. Happy to report no mosquitoes. Swept around the front door and sidewalk. Came in and am now making hard boiled
eggs.

Need to address my morning routines once I finish my breakfast. Then it’s color my hair and work on a bunch of desk stuff. Need to get my weekly planner done as well. Also I have a few Hurricane calls to make to my insurance company and address and mail 5 Halloween cards to grandkids and nieces and nephews.

Sweetie needs my help with some of his desk stuff so that’s where I’ll head next.

LadyM… I’m withTwins cause I know exactly how you DD felt

I'm not myself either this morning. I woke up with my neck and shoulder aching and now it's spread to that side and lower back. I wonder what I did yesterday to cause that?

I went on the the grocery store for milk. Then I spent time on hold and a nice guy doing customer support got the hearing aids connected up with my phone, so I can adjust it there. When I went to the store I remembered that I need to get my Honda in for servicing so I made an appointment on Thursday a.m. for that. This is a pretty busy week, I'm afraid. Nothing today, but tomorrow am meeting with dfriend to deliver her research report. I assume it will take awhile explaining - she's coming to the house so I have my laptop and can pull things up on the screen. (I might even bring down an extra monitor so I have two at the kitchen counter.

On Wednesday I'm getting my hair cut and now on Thursday the car servicing. And then we go out of town on Friday for the weekend. And I think I'll vote early on Wednesday too and cross that off my list.

I took chicken out of the freezer for our supper - maybe grilled.

I need to head upstairs.

Hello. Dee, I'm glad you got DH an appointment without having to wait a long time for it. Good luck.

Yesterday I went to church but they are now at 2 services instead of 3 and the place was just packed. I guess they determined that their 1 service just wasn't enough. Even with more chairs in all the spaces available, there were too many people.

Both DH and I were very tired yesterday and we napped. I was still sleeping when DH went outside and was working on stuff. He doesn't rest very well most times. I heard from my friends who were recovering from Covid. They are over that except they still get pretty tired and need to nap most days. Then later on my cousin from PA called and we chatted for a while.

When DH went to bed finally I vacuumed whole floor and mopped everything. Did some dusting. Place looks better.

I had a rough night though, my tooth was really hurting. Spent some time looking for our old dentist and finally found him in a couple places then in his old spot. Most of those websites were old reviews not up to date. I did find one message this morning where he'd retired and another dentist was taking over his patients. One place added his age, 72! So maybe he is retired. After he sold his practice, a bit after that I found him in another place so I thought he started another practice... but that might not be current now either. Impossible to tell which of the listings is current ... or just marketing trying to get people to advertise on these sites.

I have the same problem with DH's listing. I find him all over the internet which is how people still find him and call for stuff. We do not put this information up, it is just sites trying to sell advertising. One can usually tell because there is a line that says, "is this your listing" along with a way to update and pay for more advertising. I think we'll never be done with all the stuff online.

Anyway, I called a couple of the numbers and find phones are not working because of the hurricane, and 1 is just emergency only with another number to call. I need to do something about this tooth! Our old dentist (we both had doubts about his skill level) sold his practice and I didn't want to go to the new ones and read a bad review about them... but in a pinch...except that whole shopping center lost their roof and parking lot has big piles of insulation etc. so maybe they aren't even open... which makes me wonder what happened to our records there?

A tylenol and an aleve last evening allowed me to sleep. What do I do? I need to do something. This tooth didn't used to hurt and I intended to take care of the problem once Covid was more done with... filling kept crumbling and falling out... then the virus stayed around and then the hurricane came and now I don't know where to go. For every person who says this one or that one is good, another 5 people say they had bad experience. I just don't know what to do.

Helped DH with fence, easy job this time, he rigged a tool that made easy work of putting in the bottom rails. Now he is spraying around the bottoms before we tackle the slats and top rails. Always so many problems.
