Fighting it off Friday!

What are you fighting off?
I am fighting off doldrums and ear issues.
I was doing great till I did some vacuuming after dinner.
then had a low ~
while recovering from that I cleaned up the bathrooms then checked bs
took nite Rx.
I can do this!
I am not dead yet undead before the costume day for youths.
Riding the bs roller coaster today as I learn the new eating regimine.

I am telling myself I can do this.
I can do hard things!

The plan today is to prep. shepherd's pie and get that ready in mini pie pans for freeze ahead meals.
Today is a new day and we have sun in the forecast. 50* out now 61* is the hi today.

We can do this!
I have done my stat bike exercise.

Morning Nancy and y’all…

I am up with morning routines done. Slept well yesterday …yay!

After my exercise class, I’m going attend a Coffee and Conversation meeting. It’s sort of a place where people gather and talk about what is happening in our community. Right now most of the talk is about the clean up, roofing issues and such caused by the storm. Good place to get informations and meet new people. I have to push myself to go.

The roof repair people will be here today so I expect it to be noisy around here. Going to the dollar store after the meeting because I need a few food containers.

Yesterday we went to buy a new mailbox because our old one was destroyed by the storm. Also looked for numbers to put on the box, but couldn’t find any. Then we went to the grocery store. Little early in the week to do my shopping, it I needed a few things. I made out a list of all I needed for next weeks menus so I am all set

Gonna research some veggie bags on A mazon as my produce doesn’t seem to last very long. Heard other people complain about the same thing.

Thinking about Dee and her DH and Dove as well. Glad to hear she’s doing well.

Well I'm fighting off this cold -I hope. Coughing more and a very runny nose. Took a cold pill about an hour ago.

Dh was feeling pretty good when he first got up but now is quite lightheaded again. I really don't want to go into the Dr's office this afternoon with this cold (masks are mandated) but have a few questions.

We've been up and moving since about 7:45. DS-A and DGS23 were going to come this morning to help dh close up (or that's more like do it all). But, it's really cold out so they're opting for this afternoon. Dr's appointment is at 2 so we'll leave here by 1. Have to swing by the bank to cash a couple of checks for dh. Decided I'm taking the 'longer' route to the Dr as it's easier to go to the bank in C hurchville than try getting to the one in the plaza on the way back. Then we'll stop for gas on the way home. I had planned to go into Henrietta coming back because gas is cheaper but time counts more right now. Neighbor from across the street is supposed to come to winterize somewhere around 4. Then DS-R said they'd probably swing by tonight. I do need to run into the post office to be sure there's nothing in our box. Mail was to stop yesterday and be forwarded, but I think it got goofed up & our mail box was closed (I'm pretty sure) when I was there Sunday. Know dd said dh's test requisition is down there so not sure just where they sent it. Dh's passport never did arrive so hope that's in FL as well. Good thing he's not flying.

Dh is resting right now. I'm sure he won't be much help for anyone and that's ok -it'll get done. We also have to take our golf cart up to the road for a guy to pick it up to store for the winter. He was supposed to come this morning, but in the midst of our chaos, of course he can't come till later. Had to take his dw to the eye Dr.

Dh is trying to get enough strength to go out and empty the golf cart. I'm just not doing some things in here that I usually do.

Finished emptying our fridge and have bags out on the steps for DS-A to take home. We had a hard, hard frost last night and it's still cold but sunny.

I'm fighting the need to make my three generation report perfect. It has flaws, and I'm thinking I need more research. But I'm turning it all in four weeks from today, a four or five year project and I need to finish it. I'm not sure the flaws at this point will cause me to fail, but one never knows what other flaws are out there. I'm also feel I'm fighting my dh for time to work on it and he just doesn't get it.

Dcleaning lady is here doing her magic. I'm going upstairs to work on my four week project. I think we finally get to eat out tonight. He's had stuff every night since Monday. I can't complain too much because I'm not wanting to cook anyway, and it gives me a little extra later afternoon/evening time to work upstairs. But I'd like to be able to eat out on a weeknight too.

DH was gone when I got up, I guess he went to buy those pickets.

I have a LOL swishing. My basket was full.

Last night I organized the mess on the desk. I reconciled one bank account. Today so far I paid one bill online (only the 2nd time I've done this account online) and I printed out a statement. I guess I missed last month because the end of the month came just after the storm and I had no electric or internet. So I'll look at that and I have my big statement to pay. I'm glad to have a few minutes to myself to get this stuff done till DH gets home.

Geeze, the temple asked me to call Paypal and try to shut down the temple paypal account which I set up over ten years ago so they could take credit card payments. They say they have to talk to the person who set it up and there's a whole string of things I have to know. Last four digits of current bank account no, current email, EIN or SSN (which I have, and they say it's not the number on the account). Geeze, they don't make it easy to close an account.

Gee. And another call before that, that took 10 min but dh has been quizzing me every day about whether I had called those people. I really need a "steam coming out of my ears" smillie right now.
