Ok, going to explain all this as best I can. I was getting a bit nervous because dh's cardiologist appointment was at 4pm and at almost 5 I still hadn't heard from him. He called and said, "Book (dsonil's) flight asap," However he's back in Afib again. He was out when he was in the hospital Thursday & still in rhythm Friday owhen he saw Dr. So now the Dr is putting him back on the Metoprolol that he was on and I guess reducing the Amiodarone which is supposed to keep him in rhythm. He's only taking one of those a day now as it is. I'm so confused. DD tried a long time to get dsonil out of here tomorrow. That simply wasn't working. So now he's flying Spirit airlines (just started flying Orlando to Rochester last week) on Wednesday afternoon. He gets into Rochester at 6:32 pm so he's spending the night at DS-A's along with dh and they'll leave Thursday morning. I'm nervous about him being down here and I'm simply at a loss to understand it all. I'm assuming he'll have fairly close contact with the Dr. Dr has been absolutely wonderful about being sure he's okay to travel.

Meantime back at DS's I kept telling dh he had a second bag there (a big shopping bag from Ald i's) and he had jeans, etc in there. It was in their entryway by their big shoe cubby. Dh insisted there wasn't one there. He hadn't been able to find the jeans, his phone charger or certain meds. Today finally he said, "I've walked past that bag at least a dozen times and never spotted it." Think all he was missing is in there. I had told him to make sure he had absolutely everything he took into DS's when he leaves Thursday. Hoping he's straight now. Sure a lot has been because of his foggy brain with all that's going on.

DD's ending up having to take a half day on Wednesday. She was thinking she could make the flight Tuesday but then she remembered she has her fun job in Tampa that night. Wouldn't work! I ended up purchasing a new ticket for him because she couldn't get him booked on F rontier. It is what it is. Any amount is worth getting dh down here. I'll be praying for sure.

Yes, you're right, Dee, what matters is getting him there with you. So sorry there's all this confusion!

All our Trick or Treaters arrived at once. Lumberjack, Bob the Builder, Steve from Minecraft, Doctor Who 7th and "those deemed too old to do this anymore". Everyone got treats. Photos by all three women present, lol. Some went on to dstepson's house and some to nearby neighborhood group T and T. Ds remembered to us a time he got lost as a little kid on Halloween because I let him go with cousins! What! Every time ds tells a story he finally lets me in on another time I would have fainted. Ddil says, "well, he lived". I asked her how in the world he managed, though. Dd says, "he probably makes this stuff up".

We all really missed dd24. She called - was having a tough day at work.

Soooo glad to hear from Dee safe & sound in FL home. Now, praying for good news for Mr. Dee and safe arrival for him, too!

We had ONE costumed trick or treater -- dgd, as Cinderella. And -- I may be biased -- I must say she makes a beautiful Cinderella. DGS came along, but only for the candy. No costume at all for him. He thinks he's too big. (He also thinks he's too big for children's church, but announced Sunday that he would go on special occasions -- such as Sunday, when pastor gave the cc teacher a bag of candy.)
Actually, we could possibly have more treaters, but it's unlikely. We never have more than one or two, so we turned out the light after dgrands left. They only went to dmom's, dbil's, a dfriend's, and their other grandparents' -- plus church Trunk or Treat.

Y'all, I tried a new thing today, to try to get myself motivated a little bit.
I reasoned that Mondays are always sorta active for me, because I am pretty consistent about doing laundry. So I told myself, * and wrote it in my planner * -- Every time I put a load in the washer, I must do at least 15 minutes WHB.
I also started taking a supplement that is supposed to help with metabolism, energy, and weight loss. I just took the first one yesterday, so we shall see.

Anyway, so far, so good.
So far, I am on the third load of laundry, and I have
* straightened up the house (made bed in dgrands' room, put up the pallet from our room where dgd slept last night)
* s/s all three baths -- except I still need to take care of toilet in master bedroom, ddil arrived just as I was doing that
* went to post office, paid water bill
* checked with bank for direct deposits (easy -- auto-teller line)
* had multiple phone calls/texts with dmom, ddil, dbil, and ds
(Our college team fired the football coach today! Lots of chatter, LOL. We are glad he's gone, actually, but now -- wondering who's up next. Twins -- the #1 name mentioned will be familiar to you -- Lane Kiffin. DH is not very excited about him, but I do not think he could possibly be worse than what we've been through the last two years!)
(Dmom did not call re: coaching -- she has problem with her BRAND NEW refrigerator AND she dropped her upper denture and broke a tooth! Shaking my head... she is taking dentures to the dentist tomorrow, and then will bring appliance info to me, because apparently, everything must be done online now. Refrigerator was purchased at L*we's. It seems they refer you to manufacturer's website for all service issues after purchase.)
* sent email re: teacher group
* replied to email re: Saturday activity one of my teacher friends suggested (a story-telling event that she thinks dgrands would enjoy)
* folded one load of clothes
* stripped bed
* went to McDonald's w/dh
* changed three lightbulbs (brought to our attention when dgrands arrived to TT

Still tonight, I need/want to -- (have to! in the first case)
* get clean sheets on the bed
* finish master bath
* answer another email
* do Bible/devotional reading, which I neglected this morning

There are other things on my list and in my planner, but this is a pretty good start.

Dee - Welcome home! Glad to see you made the trip and are settling in. Keeping your DH and DSIL in my thoughts and prayers as they travel later this week.

Another year of successful Trunk & Treat is in the books. Our tiny town seems to attract people from all around. We only have about 300 kids in our school but there seems to be 10 times that number of children at the Trunk & Treat. DH and DS14 gave out over 1400 pieces of candy in less than 30 minutes. We could have easily given out twice that amount of candy. It is fun to see so many people that we know. There was lots of chatter and hugs happening.

Another year we had no trick-or-treaters. I was wondering if the kids from next door would come over...But the ones they have there all the time are really little and the others arrive periodically. Mostly weekends. They are a blended family. I wonder if we decorated and put lots of lights on would anybody come? I don't know anybody except my next door neighbor who has kids in this neighborhood. There are no school busses here. The church down the street does have a preschool but I think it's small and they apparently didn't have anything planned for tonight.

Dee, happy to read you've made it here. Will be keeping your DH in mind until he gets here also. You are blessed that your family helps you with all this.

DH came home with the dump truck piled up full of mulch. We got 3 sides mulched on the outside, and 2 small sides mulched on the inside. Will be working on the rest tomorrow. We tipped up the bed of the truck and fill up the wheelbarrow and take that around. My arms and shoulders are sore right now. It's heavy.

Time for bed.

Well, of our 1600 pieces, there are still 630 pieces left in sealed boxes, and another 115+ in an open box, we left a big bowl in the lobby and the smallest building hasn't given me their leftovers yet!

We had everyone who walked by take candy. It was hilarious, these old ladies, carrying a bowl of candy, chasing down innocents who just wanted to walk out the front door of the building. On the other hand, the happy smile one of the delivery drivers gave us once he understood we wanted him to take handfuls of candy, not just a piece was endearing. The same went for the para-transpo bus driver bringing home one of our mobility challenged residents. On the bus on the way home Columbia told the driver he needed to come to get candy from us and we pounced on him as he came through the door.

We did get some kids, but only about 15. On the other hand, the building across the way had 40. But they have a lot more kids living there than we do and it is a long walk up our driveway. At one point, there were volunteers out on the road directing people up and two adults out for a walk told us they were also sending groups of kids towards us. So it was a community effort!

I had a good day but my throat is sore from talking for 2 hours with everyone (at a higher volume because of the mask.)

Tomorrow I have a lot of cleanup to do. My building is done except for the office decorations and the bowl from the lobby. But I still have the building across the street to clean up as well (the candy came over but not the decorations.) And I have to pack everything away into boxes and take it down to the office for them to store.

And there's an extra grandfather clock in my apartment that's leaving tomorrow at 9:30 (we're storing it for a neighbour who is moving out.) And I have my flu shot in the afternoon.
