bw2, thank you! We are all so grateful for your friendship. This is an amazing bunch of women with such varied life experiences.

I am home. Appt at Costco was at noon, not eleven. I had lots of time to walk around, lol. I got all the non refrigerated items, then ran through and got them after the appt, which was maybe 15 minutes. I was hoping to go from costco to grocery but there were too many refrigerated items and dh wanted some egg sandwich things that are frozen. I got the asian chicken wraps and ate on the way home.

While at Costco, talked to dh, who had talked to our fam doc, who had talked to the Birmingham surgeon. And dh had also talked to the local gastroenterologist who is a friend and client, and the consensus is that they would be "shocked" if this is a tumor regrowth. They think what is seen is scar tissue from gastric bypass and/or the surgery last year. So dh still needs to have the MRI, but hopefully that will confirm their thoughts. Wow.

I need to put away the Costco stuff and go on to the grocery now. Still hoping to get upstairs for a bit later. I feel like going out twice today is beyond my capacity, but I must go to the grocery too.

I have walked noon Rx routine done.
Looked at my walking data today and wearing my phone for laundry will att steps and stairs for stats making me feel better.
Two loads going now.

I have a plan for lunch.
Slept in so am off on my journals but no worries I can do it in the p.m.

Did a bit of desk stuff, tossing excess papers when bills come in is very effective.
Terrific Thurs. or Tropical Thurs. were titles I thought of on my walk today!

Interesting afternoon (horrors) to say the least. Had very little sleep last night and was up many times even with the light on and off throughout the night. Well.......about an hour and a half ago I caught a glimpse of white out of the corner of my eye and looked out the window when what to my wondering eyes did appear -one white sheriff's truck. Didn't even see until then that the neighbor had appeared. DD came home just after they arrived and the gal from across pulled up out front. Evidently somebody went around back last night and tore out the security cameras and then shot out the windows back there. The elderly man who lived there died last November. His son has been doing tons of work to the house and land. Really looks nice. Guess the place was ransacked and they stole a lot -guns included. I never heard a thing and they said the windows were shot out from inside the house. Our thought is that someone may have known there were security cameras. My head is right in front of the front window which is probably40/50 feet from the road, then the road and that house sets back about 60/75 feet. But this house is so soundproof we don't hear anything.

Dh has left for her 'fun job' in Tampa so I have locked up as securely as I can. Of course I have one big black lab to keep me company. S pectrum is already there and hopefully they can find something on the cameras before they were ripped out.

Sheriffs did come over here to get info but dd had let her "Ring" subscription run out middle of last month so we had no video. About the time sheriffs were leaving dsonil was on the phone with dd and it dawned on me that we should get contact info for these 2 people. I was trying not to say anything while he was on the phone. Don't plan to tell them (dh/dsonil) till after they get down here. Dsonil will be ready to say he's not going north next summer and leaving the house empty. But it could have been anywhere. However, sheriffs are thinking it may be somebody who knew where things were etc and have some suspects in mind already. I really hope it is who they think it might be. I did actually remember that the neighbor next to us also has a ring on his door. Doubt if he recorded anything but you never know. DD called him and he's not home right now but will review his video later.

My day has been filled with one thing after another. I have been keeping a daily journal for many years and the format changes over time. It currently has 15 minute segments and I have been writing my doings in the segments. I find it helps me to plan my day as well as keep track of the time. Sometimes I resist writing down what I've been doing in a 15 minute slot and that resistance is a big clue for me to realize my actions don't match what I want to do.

Homeschool had its challenges today but overall, it went smoothly.

I've made progress with decluttering, cleaning, and organizing a section of the garage. I can see progress which makes me excited about how the changes being made.

I boiled a big pot of potatoes and made mashed potatoes. I made a pan of seasoned chicken to go with it. We had some pears that we picked a couple of weeks ago, so I sliced and sauteed them in butter, sugar & cinnamon. It was a simple meal.

DS14 is working this afternoon but will take off early to go to his 6:30pm appt with counselor. I told DS14 if he took off an hour earlier then we could go out to eat at his place of choice while we are in the city. I'm not sure what he will decide. I suspect he would rather work than eat. Although, DS14 is taking off work tomorrow & Saturday to attend a weekend youth event in Missouri. I'm pleased with that decision.

I am dragging. I need to put away groceries and then I'll put my feet up and read a few minutes.

Sent dd a text with a warming from the Newark NJ FBI of "credible threats" to NJ synagogues.

Oh boy! Wish me luck. Going online to TRY to find a hotel for dh/dsonil to stay tonight. Right now they're north of Charlotte somewhere and want a place somewhere around Columbia. Here I go.............

Wow, Dee, what an awful thing for your neighboring folks! I hope there will be many clues, especially video.

(Harmony), Ouch, Ouch! hoping you are healing well?

We got a nearby hotel room for us during the time we won't have electricity. It's hopefully just a one-night stay, because after the inspector comes Saturday a.m., the electrical contractor will hook us up to a generator until Monday morning when the utility company will send someone to reconnect us.

Still, there's a lot to do, for preparing the house, letting the children know the plans, and then generally getting ready to go. We got a room that allows pets for a reasonable charge, so Tobias (who will be appalled) can go, too. I've prepared him a box of items he'll need.

So, I may not post tomorrow - possibly if I use my phone.

Today, dh and I went to the bank first thing. He had forgotten we had a savings bond that matured a couple days ago — very uncharacteristic of him to forget and he was quite frustrated with himself! LOL… it was NOT that big a deal at all, not that big a bond anyway.
So we did that, and since he was all s2s, he decided to go to the funeral visitation with me — a friend of the family and husband of distant cousin to each of us. He did not stay for the funeral, but dmom and I did and she brought me home.

Then after school, dgrands showed up and I’ll be on Nana duty x2 till sometime Sat. Then Dgd will go to the other grandma. Whew. I’m tired already, LOL!

I did a few things out of the house that I had been putting off, one is changing up the sim card in my phone.
Sigh now I have fewer bars than before but had to do it bc T-mobile bought out Sprint.
I am glad I found this out before I changed phones.
They did not have any in stock.
I did get a cord to charge my phone on the go, but still need the block part bc I was using that for the tablet, so many cords sigh.

I loaded up and hauled off a folding chair that is good for kids sleep overs, my grands have outgrown that
so dropped it off at thrift shop while I was out and about town. Such a relief to have that done been putting it off too long!

Got a handful of things I forgot at the other two stores then back home.

I am purging mini planners now.
Waiting on hone to update see if that helps.
Had to google 4 info.

Had the gal at Joann's help me get the app to work of theirs took three of them 15 min. to do it!
That made me feel better and not so dumb!
Also learned to do the online $ try one of their gift cards so that is under consideration.
Had do go think about it.

I still need to figure out how to do the one for Happy planner sit sheesh!

Looking forward to the craft fairs this month.
45 min. later it is still updating 2 min. my eye! LOL!
Well that did not help still only two bars! Poo!
