After Lunch CI
Went to Bible study then errands did a couple of stops.
Called on getting a break inspection on one of the rigs I am hearing noise from it.
Found the place we got the tires from does free brake inspections so will start there.
Hoping it just needs an adjustment.
They are super swamped with the snow tire season going on now.

Finished walking the dog.
Picked up the pile of stuff I raked up in front of the house this morning.
Raked under one of the trees this afternoon for a bit more exercise and fresh air & stretching.
Got the trash bagged up and ready to go out in the can so that is something.
I have a plan for dinner.

Trying to get it done today! :D

I completely let yesterday slide... I mean, I bought groceries and put them away, but I did not wash any dishes that had accumulated over the weekend... did not clean up the dgrands' room after they went home... sigh... I just zoned out with the newspapers and the tv last night.
Today -- so far --
* morning routine complete except for  Bible reading
* laundry is started, second load is in the washer now
* kitchen is s/s, all the dishes clean and put away, floor swept, etc.
* pulled out a bunch of dead leaves and vines from plant in the dining room
* went to drug store & post office
* talked to ds on phone

DH is so depressed. He was sooo hoping ds would go to College Town with us this weekend, but ds doesn't really want to go. I'm a little surprised because we have a new coach and this will be his home debut. Lots of excitement surrounding the football program right now -- even I am excited, LOL. I am actually watching his Monday press conference right now! He's a former player and assistant coach, and it is just a breath of fresh air after the disaster of the last eighteen months.
OTOH -- I totally understand ds' point of view too. He was in Ohio and Virginia last weekend. He will be almost to Chicago next weekend. This week our ballgame starts at 6:30 pm, so it will be a VERY late night, and he has to go to Mississippi Sunday. Probably not early Sunday, but still, he'll have several hours driving Sunday also.
But dh is sad. He says SOMEDAY ds will wish he had done these things with him (DH), that he (DH) is not going to live forever, etc... how he wishes he could still do thing with HIS ddad...

Anyway... I'm just plugging along. BUSY day tomorrow -- need to iron and dh says we need to do the towel marathon washing... PLUS vote... and wait for termite inspection man to come "between 12 and 2."

Oh my goodness - Harmony -- YES -- what are they saying about this storm? I have seen projections that take it to the east coast, and others that say it may come into the gulf. (((BIG HUGS))) and prayers for all of you!
Tomorrow is another day.

** Homeschool was finished then DS14 went to work.
** DD11 came home from school full of chatter about her day.
** I made a double batch of salsa with vegetables from the garden. It tasted so good that I didn't want to stop eating it. I have surpassed my vegetable goal for the next couple of days.
** I harvested and then pulled a couple tomato and pepper plants in the garden. It took several armloads to carry them to a nearby dumping spot. I am not half done with harvesting & removing the summer plants. We might get a freeze next weekend and that will end the summer harvest.
** DS14 asked if I would like a tour of the home they are renovating. They completely gutted the 100-year-old house and only kept the outside frame. All the interior walls, floors, ceilings, plumbing electrical, ac, etc are new as they completely changed the floor plan. Now it looks amazing and is hard to believe the change from what it used to be. The house has already sold even though they have another month of work before it is finished.

LucyLee - DS49 and DGS16 are going to drive 18 hours round trip to attend your football team game next weekend. They are meeting DDIL father there.

I've had a good day. I still think I'll need to go back to Nashville, but I've taken care of one knotty issue, and partially resolved another. I don't have as many mysteries to untangle, and I've reduced the time frame for a search for one by more than twenty years. So a good day. Tomorrow I don't have to leave the house. I'm thinking I'm going to tell dh that I'm "going to the mattresses," a Godfather reference, when it's all out war and they're staying in hideouts. He's out tomorrow night and we're out on Wednesday night, then he's away Thurs, Friday and basically Saturday nights, so for next week and the week after I'm not cooking and working upstairs as much as I need to. And I need that trip to Nashville. (https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/go_to_the_mattresses )

Dneighbor on one side of us asked if I'll let their French bulldogs out tomorrow, Wed and Thurs. I'm trying to pin dh down on what time he wants to leave her on Wed to meet his dsis for dinner at 6 p.m. just north of ATL. And what else it is that he thinks he wants to do in ATL.

And M's dh is having a partial knee replacement on Wed too so I'd like to let her know when I'm unavailable in case R uby needs a walk or there's something she needs done at home. But I can't seem to pin dh down.

I had an excellent bank experience this afternoon. Since I became treasurer of our temple cemetery only one check has needed to be written. The former treasurer told me she looked at it every six months, reconciled the bank and did a spreadsheet so I haven't worried. But the chair has wanted to get it changed out so we set this afternoon to go to the bank. I asked the temple office manager (my nemesis) who her contact was at the bank, and this woman was wonderful. I called her before we went, and she had info pulled. Took maybe 25 min and now I can sign checks. The next thing is to get online access set back up. (I was treasurer and prez so they already had all my info too.) So that is done, and I need to write a couple of checks.

I have a sweet potato baking and need to set up the George Foreman grill for our chicken, and get on with dinner. I hope I sleep better tonight.

Yes Harmony another storm is on the way, her name is Nicole, but it’s suppose to hit the east coast first.

Right now they are saying it will be a cat 1. I don’t think at this point we won’t get much of the storm…1-3 inches of rain and 45-50mph winds. Should loose it’s straight as it travels over the start.

I have a sinus infection so glad I went to the dr today. Need to put gas in my car tomorrow and fill my tub just in case but other than that I’m ready. There’s some concern about the power grid holding so I wouldn’t be surprised if we loose power again.

Oh the price you pay for living in paradise

Wind speed probably won't be that bad for us either. However, not one spec of all these piles of debris has been picked up. That stuff would blow around and I don't want it hitting us...and I certainly don't want to have to rake and pick it up again.

The PAQUI One Chip Challenge happened during recess today resulting in eleven of DD11 classmates being picked up from school by their parents to seek medical treatment. The student who brought the chips to school is suspended. DD11 absolutely hates spicy foods so she didn't participate in the challenge.
