Dee, praying he can stay healthy enough to get to FL this week. Worried about both of you, and I'd be sobbing too. Also praying the winter storm doesn't trap him up north.

I did errand at temple, and went to bank. At grocery store I realized I left my planner - with the grocery list - at temple. So I did shopping, hoping I could remember enough, and then went back to temple for the planner.

I need to get groceries put away. I bought a lot - this is a busy week for grocery stores and I want to stay stocked up. I sat down once the car was unloaded, need to get stuff put away now. I have 5700 steps, I think I've managed to get 250 every hour.

Checking in.

Exhausted.

Couldn't finish the bulletin last night because I was missing information and too tired to think. I was talking with dh and wrote down, "Go to it on the monday." That will be our anthem. Except I should have written Go Tell It On the Mountain! So I decided I was far too tired to proceed and the bulletin will have to wait until tomorrow.

Was up at 5:40 and out the door at 6:15 to get dgs.

He was a happy little boy all day except for the one tantrum when he stole my phone and I had to physically take it back from him. He did some drawing with markers and it is quite lovely (abstract, of course, will be worth big bucks some day!) He played the guitar a little bit and danced to dh playing it for him, and then when he was done his lunch he tapped out the rhythm of Baa Baa Black Sheep on his cup with his spoon and fork. He was really cuddly with both of us and wanted us to read to him over and over. In other words an almost perfect day. A perfect day would have been a 2 hour nap instead of 1 hour but I did go down for my nap with 10 minutes of him going down so I got some good rest in.

I've been doing nothing since he left, at 3:10, though. Even the kitchen is still not cleaned up since snack. I did get on the call with the other grands and have rearranged my desk back because the new layout didn't work due to the light from the windows.

Dh is heating up dinner now (leftovers) and then we'll eat watching the Three Pines Series on Amazon. We are really enjoying it.

Kathryn…
I just finished watching Three Pines and really enjoyed it. There is a second season coming.

Dee… my mom’s walker had handbrakes and also a seat she could sit on when she got tired. The seat lifted up and she kept her purse and phone in it. She also had a shower seat and a contraption that surrounded her toilet which helped her to steady herself when she got on or off of it.

Yep got heat! He came early and put new instructions on how to lite the pilot lite on the furnace. He left a tool here last time so he was able to get that back he was happy about that!

The neighbor handy man shoveled the driveway again after I swept it off more snow happened, he checked my oil in the truck too. I fed him lunch.
We are to get a cold snap here in a couple of days.

Talked with dson about Christmas food brunch yep sausage gravy will be a winner!
He agrees nobody doesn't like that & it goes on most anything!

I’m glad you got squared away Nancy. And now you have the instructions for next time, too.

So frustrated. Talked briefly with dh earlier. At some point they told him he had an UTI. That could explain a lot of his symptoms. When we talked he said his phone was dying and he had no charger. I finally called the hospital tonight and after she finally found him (Evidently he's still in ER but at least in a room). Either the phone in his room isn't working or he couldn't reach it. So nobody knows what's going on at this point. Dfriend who's taking care of him when he's at her house said she wondered why she hadn't heard from him. Hoping one of our boys gets in there with a charger but probably not tonight. Evidently he's not being released and I know he has to be very agitated knowing the time when he's supposed to leave up there is advancing very quickly. It's only 38 hours until he's supposed to leave. And Twins, I didn't even realize there was a storm coming in.

Did get a check today from the lawyer's office not as much as I could have hoped for but a whole lot more than I expected. Think dd and I are going tomorrow morning to open a checking account here and deposit that check. We'll use it here when we need it for anything, Dh had wanted me to go ahead with a lawsuit but lawyer strongly advised against it as he was pretty sure we'd end up paying Ikea's costs. So taking it and running with it. So hope noone surprises me with any other bills. I know my medical costs were close to $30,000 and unfortunately I will continue to have related costs in the coming months/years. But it could be a whole lot worse.

Dangit! Just lost a post. Browser just quit.

Hello again, everyone.

Thank you again to Harmony, who solved a mystery for me. This past-due project has been causing me to eat lots of antacid. I've also been getting sore throats, with no other symptoms. She pointed out the connection between reflux and sore throats. BINGO! I don't have covid, the flu, or even a cold, just stress from the project which should go away.

But it won't. The stress, I mean. One of my sisters-in-law called me Saturday. Mom's dementia is getting really bad and neither she nor Dad talk about such things to their kids. They don't want to worry us. Dad has a fractured pelvis and temporarily cannot drive. Mom can forget where she was intending to go. Fortunately, she has lived in my hometown for 57 years and it has not had extreme changes. I think memory care is inevitable. No one knows what Dad, the only one who can actually do anything, plans. My SILs and I are going to make a list of information they hope I can find out. (And where are my brothers in this?) I have the extreme disadvantage of living 4 states away and having a job that cannot be worked from home. They have the disadvantage of not being immediate family. (O brothers, where art thou?)

To add to my holiday joy, the xBFF had her Christmas party Saturday and of course invited the x and the other woman. I greeted them when they came in because I was standing near the door, but other than that didn't talk to them. Ideal for everyone concerned right? Except that xBFF kept asking me why he was angry. I was totally unaware of it; I was talking to other (more pleasant) people. I had to remind her that we don't talk except regarding our daughter and only the minimum needed. We divorced 10+ years ago, why won't she accept that we are not friends? At least she no longer asks me why they aren't at MY parties.

Next up is my guitar lesson. The deadline really cut into every part of the rest of my life including practice. Instructor was sick last week so I had more time, but it got spent on deadlines. I had one really nice block of time specifically allocated to practice but drove a friend to the veterinary ER instead. Good news - a dog who just laid in his bed and could barely stand was standing up in his bed, wagging his tail, and licking his people when I left. He got hydration, pain management, a diagnosis, and a treatment plan.

Should also get cat litter tonight. When I get home, I must figure some things out about shore excursions. Which I have to print NOW.
