Emptied the mopping bucket, cleaned mop, put them away (a small task that often gets put off for ages by leaving the mop and bucket in the spare bathroom tub and pulling the shower curtain!)
Did the above only after moving the sand toys and giant bucket I store them in back to the living room toy storage area. I had put them in the tub to dry after using them in the snow yesterday.
Cleaned the spare bathroom
Fixed (I hope) the drain up/down lever. I drilled a hole into a cork and put that behind the metal bendy thing that is supposed to pressure fit hold the pieces together. The cunning plan is for that to stop the bendy thing from sliding off after I use the drain plug lever a few times which is the current situation. It has been like that for years now but the other grands just wash their hands under running water. Dgs1.9 can't reach the stream of water from my stool (and by my stool, I mean the one my daddy made me when I was his age) so I fill it up so he can wash his hands in the water. If this doesn't work, I'll pull it out and get a rubber drain stopper.
moved the monitor from the side table in the dining room to the office. We no longer have weekly family Zoom dinners so it doesn't have to stay in the dining room. That meant cleaning up the spot for it in the office and child-proofing the area as best as possible. And putting away the Christmas CDs which were sitting on the shelf I was moving the monitor to.
set the electronic piano up again permanently in the dining room. Both dgs's played with it and dgd will want a turn soon, so I'm moving back out permanently. It is at my height for now but can be shifted down onto two chairs to be at their height when they visit.
Last housework to do is dust and vacuum the L/D rooms but I have to decide how much work I want to do on that task, slipshod and go back and do deep zone work, or just wait until I have the energy for the zone work. I think the former will make me happier.
BTW: I realize the 'not tall enough for hand washing' will solve itself in a few weeks. In two weeks he went from not being able to get up on our bed, to being able to get up onto our bed. I used to put things he shouldn't touch on the table that makes a ledge behind our bed. Now he can crawl over on the bed to reach that. Slowly, things are getting higher and higher in this apartment!

Vacuumed cave basement rec. room and moved some items mostly boxes and gift bag tote out of that room.
That helped me to work off stress and now I have half of my steps in yea! Win! Win!
Two loads of laundry going.

Mix up do-over bread dough for tomorrow *
Not done maybe tomorrow.
Wash one window inside.

Baby stepping through the day continues
12pm and 1pm hourly tasks completed. 2pm hourly tasks started.
DH and I sat for about 30 minutes discussing pro/cons of buying the work vehicle. Then we included DS14 for another 10 minute group discussion. End of all this talking was the decision to purchase the work truck. Who knows....we might regret this decision in the future but at least we were in complete agreement about it. Yes, all the vehicles are in DH and my name even though DS14 paid 100% of his pickup purchase, maintenance, and insurance. DS14 now has 2 vehicles. A 17 year old "pretty" pickup and a 10 year old work truck. Both are in excellent condition. DS14 has spent lots of time, effort, elbow grease and his hard-earned-money modifying the 17 year old pickup. We discussed selling it and decided to postpone making that decision for several reasons.
We are over half way through our 4 days of extreme cold temperatures. So far, the moisture has missed us by just a few miles. So....they cancelled school today for no reason. We don't have their decision yet about whether we will have school tomorrow. The weather people are predicting we get 1/3 inch of ice in the next 24 hours which is almost impossible for school buses to drive on. But what if the moisture misses us again and the roads are perfectly clear? I would not want to be the one making this decision. I'm just looking forward to Thursday when the temps will be in the high 40's and warming up to the 60's this weekend. Come on sunshine!

I was just coming in here to say "get it". Dh built a lot of those for his ex boss at the tire company and they are very useful for hauling tools and large tires around. Does it have a lift on the back, because those are very useful.
Dh and I have decided that the chicken drumsticks can wait until tomorrow night. Tonight we have a reservation at a very popular Chinese restaurant. They have their yearly Chinese New Year buffet until mid February and I hate going to restaurants on Valentine's Day/weekend.
Dh is in the shower and I need to go get changed into nicer clothes.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.
I had a great workout. I always feel better after I go, even though I'm almost fighting myself to get there. I have a little less than an hour before time to leave again. Need to change clothes and walk the dog. In theory it's not raining right now, but it's misting and wet out.

Back from the drs and he was great answering my questions.
He told me when he original did the biopsy he cut most of the precancerous spot off. He called me back because he said he needed to just spritz the skin on the out side of my wound to kill those cells.
He said to keep using Vaseline and it would take a month to heal.

LadyM: the only two reasons for ds14 not to get the truck is that having it at hand and being ready to go to work full-time might lead him to quit school early. And the second reason is that it is denying the use of it for someone who needs a good used work truck right now.
You know your ds, you can judge whether the truck would change his mind about finishing school and the other reason is more altruistic than your immediate concern.
Aside from that, I'm excited for ds14. It is solid looking truck.
I'm done for the day. My last ta das were:
spent time with dgs and dgd on zoom, and read another two chapters to dgs
helped dh come up with a quick and easy dinner to make (burgers with popcorn)
ran the residents' association membership renewal time in the lobby. We got 18 renewals which is excellent. Others coming in said they were interested in joining and took forms with them so they can drop money off at my apartment at a later date.
helped a blind man find a lost glove. It wasn't in the elevator I was riding which he had called to his floor while trying to find where it might have dropped. When he came through the lobby later I asked if he had found it and he hadn't but when I said that, one of the others knew there was a glove on the door entry podium and sure enough it was his. He was very grateful. He never would have seen the black glove on black podium
I turned down the request I become the church board secretary, but that reminded me we don't have a secretary for the residents' association so I asked one of the new helpers and she said yes! We now have a communications director, a secretary and a social director on the board. I've been doing all those jobs. Woot!!!!
And this very productive day came on a day I forgot to take my ADD meds!!!!
I just remain in awe of ds14’s work ethic and maturity, LadyM! And the truck certainly looks nice. I think you’ve all made a good decision. As you said, if you regret it later, you can certainly sell the truck.
I finally washed the dishes and watered my pitiful corn stalk/plant.

Headache and cough. Kinda achy. Dh was sick all weekend and ds is feeling bad tonight. May be that no one goes to ballgame tomorrow.

Hmmm. Dh still doesn’t want to take on a one-day trip without ds. And we don’t want to re-schedule haircut appointments we have Thursday because we’ve had then booked for seven weeks. Sigh.
LadyM...about that truck, surprised to see it. It looked like the last truck DH had. But only a front seat not 2 seats. DH beefed it up underneath with bigger tires to haul more weight and then he put hydraulics underneath to make it a dump. Now he has a Ford 1 seater without the side compartments, and we put new leaf springs and a beefy axle, so it really hauls a bunch of weight. He took the bed off and built himself a new bed out of aluminum with a lumber rack overhead and put beefier hydraulics underneath to make it a lift bed. First truck just wore out. This one is going strong. I gotta say, we've noticed that it's a chick magnet. Women are impressed when they see him working with it. I'm serious. We think that's hilarious!
I worked on my closet finally most of the afternoon. I have a big box of stuff to take along tomorrow when I go to the dentist. I will stop and drop it off on the way home. I washed 7 pairs of slacks, sewed one button on and pressed them, ready to go. I can never just throw stuff in a bag and give them away like that. I think that's tacky. I reorganized the closet and changed some hangers. Happy how it looks now.
