Re: Tackle something this Tuesday before the SuperBowl
Weird day. I did remember my vitamins and meds, though.
Dh wanted to get blood draw done. I was to pick up mail for the guy I help out in the other building, so I sent him a text saying I might be late, and headed off to drop dh at the hospital blood clinic. The plan was drop him, do the mail run, pick up dh. While on the way, the guy texted he was too ill to get the keys out so we'll try again on Thursday.
So I dropped dh and parked at a small mall nearby and worked on cleaning up the inside of the car and locating the rattle we hear sometimes but not always. I keep wipes in there so wiped the mud and salt off the seats (from the kids) and also sorted through stuff that was loose. Attached the baby mirror.
Dh texted not to wait for him because it would be at least 90 minutes. He was dressed for the weather and would walk home.
There was a return to do, and by then it was 9 so I drove to that store. Did the return, went to buy more car cleaning wipes (insane price so I passed and will wait for a sale) and found a special car booster seat on sale. It is the same brand as dd's so super safe and easy to install but really heavy. I tried to buy one which required help from staff. Turns out they were out of stock. Tried to buy the display one (the seat has been discontinued, hence the sale) and it didn't have the manual so I said no because without that, I wouldn't know if I had all the parts.
I ran other minor errands, texted dh (he had was already walking by then and it was a beautiful day so I let him walk.) I came home and ordered the carseat for pickup from the last store in the area with one. That ordered was cancelled so they obviously couldn't find all the parts either. I ordered the last one between here and Toronto, down at the Seaway and they have it so it is now mine. I was planning fish and chips tomorrow night (at home) so now we'll go on a road trip and get the seat and have fish and chips.
I got a cheque for the residents' association signed and picked up a parcel that had arrived yesterday for me from the parcel locker.
It was the car seat mirror that was rattling (the noise was from a new spot when I drove to the other store) and so I brought that upstairs and took it apart, finally found the rattle and stopped it, and will take it back to install later.
Since then I've done nothing. I'd switch to fish and chips tonight and drive down for the car seat now except there is a blizzard and visibility is nil. I'm glad I spent so much time outside this morning, working on the car and walking from it into stores. Because we headed out so early, I didn't get any light therapy this morning.
I still have a ton of things to do but will take a nap now because I really need one.

Re: Tackle something this Tuesday before the SuperBowl
Our current temp is PLUS ten Celcius. If it wasn't so windy, it would be a nice day out there.
I brought in all the groceries. Spent some time on the computer. Cut up a small cabbage that we bought not long ago. Dh put it on top of the fridge in the garage. I brought it into the house earlier and it had been nibbled on until there were 1 inch deep areas all over the cabbage. I think there must be a very happy and fat mouse out in the garage. I bought a new cabbage today and it's in the house. I tossed the pieces of the older cabbage out into the field behind us.
Brought in bottles of water and soda for dh and iced tea for me. Locked both vehicles and the garage because I'm not going out any more tonight.
Dh just woke up from his nap.

I have to make dinner - lentil dish.
dining room is ready for dh as well
timed out my work so that I stay on trac.

Supper tonight will be meatloaf, boiled cabbage and pierogies. Instead of putting onions in the meatloaf, I am frying onions to go on the pierogies.

Re: Tackle something this Tuesday before the SuperBowl
Worked out and went by the library. I looked up chancery court records from 1840s in a nearby county and got what I needed. Went down the rabbit hole and looked at the index for my surname and hit the jackpot with a record. Then asked librarian about maps and ended up finding the area I'm researching on a city map from 1928.
I needed to eat something, so did, and next I walk the dog.

Swept upstairs.
Walked ddog before it rained.
Got the chicken done it is cooling now.
I did the finish work on some sewing.
Picked up after the dog in the backyard.
Started one load of wash.
De-boned the chicken prepped it for soup, stew, shepards pie or what ever.

Re: Tackle something this Tuesday before the SuperBowl
Hi everyone! I am not tackling much of anything this entire week. I had foot surgery Feb 2. Post-op visit was yesterday and it is healing nicely, but hurts right now. It hurts when it gets cold. May also be too much "activity" today. Used quotes because the activity is checking my home emails, shower, and laundry. I have taken paid meds. My hands hurt - either from crutches and scooter brakes or too much crochet. Sometime I will tackle gathering tax documents. Waiting for pain meds to work.

Glad it's in the past now Elizabeth and you're on your way to healing, even if it's still early in the process. Take care of yourself!

Re: Tackle something this Tuesday before the SuperBowl
(((Elizabeth))) I hope the pain goes away soon.
I tackled my nap very successfully! I obviously really needed it.
This evening I did the dinner clean up and then all my weekly kitchen chores. The dishwasher is running now, as is the washer. I have to stay up until 10 in order to put the clothes in the dryer. I may just hang them all to dry instead, we'll see.
Not sure what I'll do with the next 45 minutes.

(((Elizabeth))) I hope the painful part of recovery is over quickly.
DS14 bought another 4 wheeler tonight. I thought he would have learned his lesson by now. I am trying to remember the big picture and not let these small things get me.
DD11 brought home a letter from the school asking if I would allow her to be put into the gifted program. She is willing to put in the extra work, so I gave my permission.
The contractor gave us a quote and we accepted it. He will start the garden fence project next Monday.
I had a good day today even though I stayed indoors the entire day. Tomorrow is another day of rain so I am going to need to find a distraction.
