And I'm home again. That was a hard workout and I am feeling worn out. I remembered to stop at drugstore for meds and they had scripts for dh too. He just texted that he'll be home between 5:30 and 6 so I let him know I'll make the meatloaf I got earlier at the grocery. I have an acorn squash that can go in the oven with the meat loaf and I'll make a salad.

I think ddog is on the porch - it's nice out right now.

I need to do some clean up, not all the groceries got put away and my old shoes need to be put away. I'll need to walk a lap with the dog too. I won't make my goal today because of the Fitbit lapse. Whatever, I guess.

I am experiencing what I think is a cold. My only symptoms are sneezing and runny nose. I don't have any temperature and feel good. I am going to make myself slow down and take it as easy as I can. I will still follow my hourly schedule because it brings me joy. The tasks don't take very long to achieve, and I don't like to be still for longer than 30 minutes or so.

DS14 has decided to sell his pretty pickup. It has sat without being driven for several days because Ds14 always prefers to drive the work pickup. This has been a process to go through for him to mentally/emotionally be ready to make this decision. I encourage him to go slow and make sure he wouldn't regret his decision. He listed it for sale and within a couple hours had a buyer.

Today is the last day of Book fair at school. This will be DD11 last book fair since she will be leaving grade school this year. I don't want to be around people while I have cold symptoms so I asked DH if he would take DD11 to it.

Boy... your ds14 is certainly a salesman. My mother always said my dad "could sell a man his (own) hat" -- but that she "couldn't sell ice to Eskimos." My dfil was a very good salesman also, but dh figures he would have been in the same category as dmom -- that is why we are not in the furniture business today, LOL!

Y'all, I have pulled myself together and accomplished my big 4 for the day:
* called library
* s/s bathrooms 2 & 3
* drained all that excess water from the corn plant
* 3 minute extra (although it took a little more than 3 minutes) -- got December 2021 pics in album

I took a survey -- DH & DGS definitely prefer albums, DGD prefers albums (probably because they said they did), and DS thinks photo boxes would be more space-saving but said whatever I did was fine with him, because he will probably just pass the photo albums on to dgrands and it will be their problem some day. So I guess, until I run out of space, albums it is.

I have also been texting with swimming lesson lady (re: lessons for dgd this summer) and dbil's girlfriend (re: dbil's bday dinner next weekend).
Also picked up hamburgers for dh and pizza for me, ate supper.

Still have a couple hours till we have to leave for ballgame.

I had a good time catching up on my gratitude journal, I had not wrote in is since Sept.
So I got some pages of what I have doing since then it has been busy.

Mixed up some chicken salad for my dinner.
Did get the cookies baked.
Dishes are done now.

Yes, thinking by writing, and especially in your own "hand" (writing) is really respectful of your own ideas, I think.

We went over to dd43's today because her front porch light has gone crazy with blinking and HRH thought he could help. None of us have ever seen this before, though, and it looks like she'll have to replace it. Even after vacuuming/blow out and doing resets, it's still blinking 24-7.

They were filing down the grand-dog's nails. For the manicure, dog lies on her tummy in a sort of hammock up off the floor. Very funny looking, but it works without too much frustration.

Elizabeth, how is the recuperation? Hope you're not going stir-crazy!

Back from the ballgame. Very interesting night.
First -- sad, because dgs was sick and couldn't go -- had fever of 101. I talked ds and dh into going to the game anyway, to see IF we'd play Saturday, and WHO we would play.
The good news is, our team did win, and maybe dgs will be able to play Saturday.
Interesting -- the game before us was at halftime, 9-8, when we arrived. The winning coach thought he'd be smart and ask for birth certificates from the other team. They apparently had players who had not been there the last time they played. Well, they showed their birth certificates and asked for his... and he did not have them! WHY would you ask for someone else's proof when you couldn't provide your own???
The referees called the game and made them forfeit and oh the tempers flared... lots of shouting and cursing, actually, which is really kinda sad considering there were children around.
At some point, the police were called, but I never saw them. Whatever was going on must have been outside. DH was in the car and saw them arrive. (DH wasn't feeling well and he just stayed in the car while ds and I watched the game.)
THEN, after we got into our game, during the second half, the stopped our game so the referees could go take a phone call, apparently. They were standing around at the end of the court with one of the park and rec assoc officials, and finally one of them said, "Well, we're going to finish this game first."
It seems the team that had to forfeit was asking to come back and finish their game.
I do NOT think they will allow that. It seems very unfair to those who won on the technicality and celebrated getting into the championship game, all because the other coach thought he was being "smart."
DS and I just sat in amazement and LOL at all the chaos.

We thoroughly enjoyed our game, but that is not to say our team is that amazing. We won 31-15, and one little boy scored over 20 of our points. If he is "on," we win; if he is not, we lose. The team that forfeited before us is the only team that has beaten us so we were glad they lost.
