Hello. Yes, Dee sounds a bit encouraged. I was wondering about taking DH to a restaurant on the way to get his blood tests. Our lab work is always fasting so we can't do that. I guess his is different.
LadyM, that's quite the fence. I was wondering if the solid panels will get hot and will they make the plants wilt? Glad to see the other fencing will let air in. We had R-panel roofs in our last two houses. We had the ribs that were closer together and we painted ours white. It was sturdy enough with the close ribs that we could walk all over it without damage. How many bulls are over there next to you?
I am taking a long break. I did a job this morning that took about 4 hours and I am not a happy camper. It's a hard job. I cleaned the master bedroom. Pulled heavy furniture out from the walls and washed baseboards, backs of furniture, just everything in the room except for the ceiling fan and the blinds which are ok. A lot of crawling around. 2 walk-in closets mopped also. Everything is vacuumed and mopped, sheets changed too. Everything clean now, even every inch under the bed. I don't know how to make this job any easier, it just needs done every so often. Wiping the tops of the furniture just isn't enough all the time.
We have a beautiful blue sky today with no clouds. A little breeze. Winters here are really nice.
Kathryn, I have thought that we all seem busier these days. A lot of it is due to electronics. Mine certainly hasn't made life easier. Right now I need to set up all the files for this year, haven't done that yet. It seems almost impossible to carve out some time for me. Just being involved with the group and our study is a stretch. I should have started this week's study, but too busy so far. Everything came to a halt those years when I'd have grandkids around. No wonder you've been so busy.
Ok time to go put my feet up for a bit.

Yes, Harmony, I wondered about that too, but the office was sure to tell us dh's labs are "non-fasting". I will probably check to be sure though.
DD & Dsonil have gone to L owe's to look for a new grill. They thought their tank was faulty as only part of the grill would light last night. But in checking today, they found it's actually the grill that's 'running on empty'.
I need to clean up the kitchen soon. Haven't been able to run water for a bit there as it seems the line going to the septic tank was plugged. Finally thanks to P lumrs H elper and an extra long 'snake' it's now in working order again. Probably will work better than in a long time. Think there's probably 3 tanks here.

Tomahawk steak is a ribeye & bone cut to look like an axe.
I have only eaten them at DS49 home and he uses an app connect to a Traeger grill to cook. I don't have any of those tools so I'm just making things up as I go along. I put some dry rub on it and let it sit, then I plan to put it in the oven until internal temp is 120 (aka rare) then put it on the grill to sear both sides.
I am doing about 80% of my hourly scheduled tasks. I'm not pushing myself and just doing things as I feel like it.
I made quesadillas for everyone's lunch.

It varies depending on the season. There are 12 bulls right now.How many bulls are over there next to you?

RR - Thank you for mentioning 1923. I had forgotten about it. I also have a season of Yellowstone to watch. I like to stop these two series frequently and look at details of the background.

Re: Sunny Saturday PWYC
I must say how it good it feels to be able to do some normal things around the house today. Even doing the shopping this morning with dd! And I've been able to catch up some computer things that have been hanging since the new year!
DD has a college hockey game tonight at 7 so we'll be fixing dinner soon. We bought a rotisserie chicken this morning -which was $1 cheaper than buying a whole chicken to roast ourselves. Also bought 2 dozen eggs at $2.99/dozen! They're even $5/dozen at A ldi's here so guess that was a very good buy.
Ordered a new F itbit watchband for dh yesterday which arrived today. He was really pleased with the new one! Which reminds me, Lady M, I saw something in a G oogle search about being able to join some of your friends on F itbit once the 'communities' are no longer effective. Not sure what I saw though. Didn't have time to delve into it.

Re: Sunny Saturday PWYC
Just wanted to check in and let y’all know I actually am feeling a little better. Nothing has really changed, but I enjoyed getting out last night and spending time with dbil and his girlfriend, and I “talked it out” in a big rant over in MO. It sounds stupid but I left it up in case I need to re-read it again.
I just have to keep the proper perspective on my life at this point. I was telling dmom about the girlfriend and all she had done (herself) to her house. Dmom said, “Does she have her dgrands 2/3 of the time?” Well, no she doesn’t. And she doesn’t have a high-maintenance husband either, or a mother who needs her attention.
But she had been through tough seasons too — she’s an only child, lost parents to dementia and cancer, lost a husband to cancer, raised 3 children and has seen one through a divorce. In those times of her life, she might not have been so productive and energetic as she seems now.
So — we all have our own seasons of life that we go through and — as y’all have told me repeatedly — we can’t compare ourselves to others.

Re: Sunny Saturday PWYC
Got everything on the abbreviated list accomplished. That's not to say I've got everything done, just everything on the list (and since I watched the movie in the evening, that still has to go back but in its place we were over at the other building to pick up card tables and take them to the social room, so same amount of stuff got done.
We'll be out of here tomorrow morning early so I'm off to bed now. I just downloaded some work to my computer so I can make use of that time in the car.
