Twins, Time: it does evaporate at warp speed, does it not?

I've been busy ever since we finally got up this morning. I slept in the recliner part of the night and the bed the rest of the night. Got up a t 7 for a potty break and my T hyroid med. Went back to bed and dh never got up until well after 8. So I waited for him in the bathroom till after 9:30. It was going for 10am by the time I made oatmeal for us.

Meantime I missed a call from dh's Primary and took me a while to get back to them. Only wanted to tell me his urine came back 'clear'???? Have no idea what that was about as he had labs done yesterday but no urinalysis. The Heart failure clinic had ordered these so they could see his potassium & hemoglobin mainly but also so it would be back to the Primary in time for dh's appointment there tomorrow morning.

Dh's home care nurse came yesterday afternoon and his PT is coming this afternoon. Both come twice a week. Hopefully he's feeling more like doing the exercises. Have a feeling they'll be sending him to cardiac rehab at some point. I'm thinking he won't be ready to go north by the end of March as he'd like. He can't even spend more than 10 minutes in the shop here before it's naptime. But hopefully he is improving.

Think someone was talking about timing meds. The PA at the heart clinic put dh back on Eplerenone last week (why they ever took him off is anyone's guess). She told us something no one ever had: Don't take the Eplerenone until at least 30 minutes after taking lasix. Love it when we learn these things -just wish we'd learn them earlier than later!

Thinking of you, Blessed. Know what a trial each day can be.

Have a LOL in the dryer so need to check that soon. Loaded the dishwasher, did up some dishes, cleaned the kitchen and too many various little things. Need to go fix our lunch I think very soon. If I do that, the PT gal is sure to arrive!

I possibly ate too much lunch and may have issues with workout. I've rebooted the laundry and folded two small loads that have been hanging about.

I decided to text dcleaning lady and see if she could squeeze in a cleaning here on Thursday or Friday. It would be nice to have her work on the screened porch since the weather has turned warmer.

Waving back to blessed. Hope your day is going smoothly.

(Twins).

I slept in a bit today. Yesterday just took all the stuffins' out of me. I am ok, just a bit worn out.

I started in on my study, which I'm finding very detailed and slow to do this week. I didn't get nearly as far into it as I usually do. I stopped when I began to feel weary.

Blasted check and note to that supply company is in the mailbox....no I just looked again and the flag is down. I'm going to quit thinking about all that. New project to start work on today. My insurance audit is on Thursday. They don't come any more, they call but I have to have the information to them beforehand. I used to just fax it all to them as that was the easiest. This time they have no fax number to use so I must try to get it all scanned into a file and email it. With the old printer/scanner I was never able to get more than 1 page into a file so that's why I faxed. I have not scanned with this new printer/scanner so I'm a bit apprehensive. First I need to do a letter or memo of sorts, and I need to do a profit and loss statement, which I have no idea how to do. We don't use quick books here, but I have an example from someone else's P & L statement, so I'll just create one...I hope.

Better get busy here.

Dreaded phone call to county. There was a bill I mailed to them and they now say they do have a record of receiving my envelope at end of Dec, but it just took a long time to get posted. Meanwhile, Jan 23 I called to ask, since it had never been deposited and the online record said unpaid, with fees accruing. The fellow had no idea and told me exactly how to send another (including penalty), so I told the bank to do a stop payment on the first check and mailed the new one. Today I had to call again because nothing had happened after nearly another month. Lady admits they have the second payment but still have never posted. Sigh. At least I know something will eventually be done, but am at their mercy regarding whether I'll ever be refunded that fee.

Labeling containers and small drawers here. Love 3x5s or 4x6s for that. Color ones do well, giving stacks of drawers a uniform look. I have some old drawers that aren't ready for prime time anymore but matching labels cheer them up.

I had such a good plan for Lent last year, but the minister who was encouraging that retired and his online prayer group isn't there any longer. I may look up his explanation of exactly what was expected daily - I think writing down something learned or meaningful.

Home from 1.5 hour appt with investment guy. He showed us his best guess for what happens to our investment over the next 27 years (my expected life span). Predicting the future by using the past doesn't always work out but I guess it is as good of a way as any. He recommended a couple of changes and we agreed to those. But he again struck out by trying to get all our investment under one umbrella that he manages. I'm not willing to do that. He was persistent and mentioned it about a dozen times during the meeting. Each time I would politely decline. I know investment guys are highly experienced & trained to make the most return with the least risk possible, but they can be clueless when other goals are more important to clients. #JS

I returned to my normal energy level after the first 4 hours of the day. #Thankful

Supper tonight is going to be a weird one. I am currently heating 6 Jamaican patties in the oven. At least 4 for dh and 1 for me. I also intend to have 2 or 3 pancakes (frozen in a box and microwavable) with real Canadian maple syrup because it's pancake Tuesday. Dh doesn't like pancakes, otherwise I would have liked to go to a local church that does a pancake supper. Oh, well...

I spent the afternoon at a Women's Institute get together to knit some squares together to make blankets for the homeless. Our local WI started in 1905 and is still going, even though some members don't come anymore because Covid scared them. I understand because there are some things I no longer go to, like busy malls and crowded spaces. I go really early in the day or decline altogether.

Lady M, inquiring mind wants to know -just what do you freeze in all those canning jars? I'm wondering if the jars would be better than plastic bags or plastic containers.

I'm spending a whole lot of time getting pages ready for Dh's primary Dr tomorrow. (meds, bp/weight report/questions (or discussions)/all the records from hospital etc. Though I'm sure he has most on his computer and he is very thorough. We both really liked him!

It might be easier to tell what I don't freeze in mason jars. :)
I like to have individual portion size foods ready to eat.
Today I pulled these mason jars from the freezer to eat -
Pinto beans (100g)
Baked potato & pulled pork (100g)
Egg roll in a bowl (aka cabbage & sausage)
Cooked cranberries (60g)

The fence contractor has left for the day. The tree cutting project is in process again. DS14 is full of confidence in his ability to get this done. I'm nervous but trying to remain supportive.

Dgs slept 2.5 hours. I deep rested for 1 hours of that and wasted the rest of the time except for booking a mammogram. For tomorrow. So, after 4 months that will finally get done (and just as fast as if I booked back in October because the place I usually goes to takes 5 - 6 months to get an appointment and they don't offer you cancellations. My BFF told me about a different number to call, they let me switch to them (switching is frowned upon but this place is closer) and I was only caller #3 (the other place I was caller 11 and after the 30 minutes I had to do the task was up, I was still caller #8 so hung up and when I called a few days later, I didn't even get the option to hold, I had to leave a number and they never called back.) Best of all, although they are currently booking for June, they also offer up their cancellations. So it will be tomorrow.

After dgs woke up, we tried snack but he wasn't hungry so we took him to his mom. From wake-up time until when we left there was a huge snow squall that dumped 2" of snow. We took 2x as long as normal to get to the hospital but it saved her the drive to us. Then we did grocery shopping, 4 stops. We had three errands at the other end of town but gave up on those because the traffic was awful.

We had hotdogs for dinner. I bought both them and hashbrowns in case dh chose pancakes. He picked hot dogs with hash browns!

I'm off to bed now. Tomorrow is another busy day.
