Kathryn, is this possible some kind of dementia or confusion? Or just not being considerate? I don't get it!

We're home - left around nine this a.m. on the nicest day we've had since we got there. It's been cool and windy, some rain off and on yesterday so we weren't outside that much. Dh and I had about 45 minutes of nice sun while sitting at the outdoor bar for "Wine down Wednesday" but that's been it, really. Our friend S. fell yesterday getting into the hot tub and ruptured his patellar tendon so spent time at ER there yesterday. He'll need surgery to fix it - the same thing happened to the other knee about ten years ago. So he was on crutches.

Traffic on I-75 was horrible between Macon and ATL and then north of ATL. I just need to expect that it's always bad.

We've emptied the cooler into refrigerator. I'll try to do some planning later so I can get it all back together tomorrow. We need groceries and I need to do some cleaning - dog hair everywhere!

I worked on the yard this afternoon and got some of the stuff out of here someone was building a chicken coop and had a green house and
could use the stuff I am not needing and letting go of. Made my day a half load of stuff yea!

Had dinner.
Got to do a bit of knitting too.

Nancy, I'm impressed with how much stuff you've been finding new homes for. I wish I could do the same.

Kathryn, some people are just not as worried about Covid as others. But I get your concern. Ken does not need this on top of the operation recovery.

I had a very interesting day. That's the nicest way I could put my experiences. I had to go up into next county east of me, one with a lot of agricultural land, to take DH's biggest truck's radiator. It's a solid metal one like the old ones all used to be and has leaks. It needs fixed or replaced. Nobody in this county repairs old ones any more. But this guy still does. So road trip for me! I couldn't believe where all I was today: right, left, right, left, right, left, all through the county up there and I thought man he can't have a shop in here....but he did, a big shed building across from his house and a quanset hut-type building next to him. Nope, too corroded and probably like that inside too...though he offered to get another core and put it inside, though the price for all that was prohibitive. So back in the car and found my way home...not easy, with streets blocked off because of pickup for the school....

At one point I realized the Garmin was trying to take me a long long way around so I pulled over and put different address into it and finally it showed me the way through the country, around a lake, and down to the road I was searching for. What an adventure. On that street was a supermarket so I stopped and got some groceries. All this traveling in 80+ temps with no A/C. I tried to get gas before I went out there and the place was mobbed again and it took a long time to get to the pump...where the man was telling us the pump wasn't working, go around and go into another pump. I'll bet it took over an hour just to get gas. The car didn't have enough for all the driving I did today. Anyway, that's done, and DH has called and found a place at about 1/4 of the price to get a new one, not as good as the old one, but anyway, this new one doesn't have to last 30 years like the last one.

We tried to put freon in it but apparently the tool he uses with the gauge isn't working.... and DFriend from next town south asked if I'd take her to study tomorrow as her car is in the shop...so I said yes if she doesn't mind riding around with no A/C. No she doesn't mind, so tomorrow will be an extremely early early morning for me. It's a bit over 30 minutes to get down there, 40 minutes to get back to the church. sigh... I don't mind really, but things feel like they're piling up around me.

Anyway, I don't know what I learned from today except that some days are harder than others and maybe tomorrow will be easier. I'm hoping, anyway. For all of us here too.

I hope you have a cooler drive tomorrow. I had to open the windows in my car to air it out a bit since I had been sitting in it, maskless, coughing before picking up dh. It was just above freezing and raining so they weren't open much!

I had a talk with dh about him wearing a mask around me. I just couldn't stop crying because I'm so frustrated that I'm stuck in this room. We have 2000 square feet but I am just getting 130 of that right now. The problem is the rest of it, except the kitchen, office and master bedroom, is open concept so the only place I could be unmasked and keep the doors shut is the kitchen and I don't want to hang out in there. Also, dh gets upset if the room is too cold and I'd have the windows open as well. Currently he's hanging out a fair bit in there so both it and the office are really warm.

I made soup for dinner tonight and then dh made the grilled cheese sandwiches to go with it. And I did the cleanup while he was on a call with ds.

It is late and I'm still up because I haven't done enough today to make me tired. All I've done, aside from the morning blood draw, is doze all day long. My eyes aren't focusing well on the computer (not sure if it is because I don't have my second screen or if there's a problem with my eyes) so I haven't been able to work even if I had the stamina for it. I can't get on the treadmill now that dh is out of the office because our neighbour's bedroom is the shared wall so we don't use it before 7 a.m. or after 9 p.m. I guess I'll put on boots and go down to the garage to deal with that garbage can.
