Let me add yet another CONGRATULATIONS, Twins. We're proud of you and so happy you are a part of our village!

I only got about 1 1/4 hours of sleep last night. Have tried to keep going today, hoping for sleep tonight.

Dh wanted to take the car to get it washed and vacuumed today. I finally decided to not do that today as we were also going to his DB's house to pick up a few things. Left here about 3pm and just got home about 30 minutes ago. He quickly ate only a bite of his dinner and went in to lie down and was immediately off to sleep. He was really tired. While we were at his DB's the couple from behind him came over when they saw us on their cameras. He carried a big coffee can full of flat washers to the car for dh and dsonil carried it to the shop here. Dh had wanted to pick up a hand made plane (carpentry not air) that he and his DB had picked up at a flea market some years ago.

From there he wanted to drive up past our church to check out the new electronic sign. Did that and then went to C ulver's to pick up dinner. He got a 6-piece shrimp basket. He at one....ONE! and ate 2 french fries.

While we were there the wife of neighbor asked if our DS-R had signed papers yet for the property. Well, I truthfully don't have a clue but even if I did I was not giving that info. DBIL had a hidden safe (one that nobody would ever have guessed was there. She said they counted all the cash (with the other couple who are Executors. He had $45k in there. He left instructions for the lion'

Post cont'd as it wouldn't let me go further! Lion's share to go to their church earmarked for an educational wing which is to be named for DSisil. No idea what he planned to do with the rest. Know they had money in trusts for all the nieces and nephews.

I've been very busy around here the last couple of days. I'm trying to get things done toward packing.

DS-A, DDIL, DGS10 and DGGD11 are coming in Wednesday. Dh and I are going to get his hair cut Wednesday morning -and his toenails done. At 1:30 we have an appointment with the cardiologist down here. Hoping to get some answers.

Lucylee, I sure feel for you with your dh as well.

After my nap I had dh check with the pharmacy (it wasn't showing up in his online profile.) While he was on hold with them, the Heart Institute called to say the RX had been faxed in. I thought to ask if he could take half tonight and she said to take a full one asap.

So I went over to the pharmacy and sat there until it was ready. When I arrived it was near the bottom of a pile of prescriptions waiting to be made up. So going and sitting there, was the right move. Got a sense of Covid brain fog... no problem getting there, etc and not coughing but when it was time to pay I realized I had left my purse in the car. While waiting I realized I'd forgotten to bring in the meds to be disposed of as well, so the trip back to get the purse wasn't wasted. But I was surprised that I was so focused on getting them to do the work I didn't think about bringing in my purse. I haven't had my ADD meds since Tuesday so that might be playing a roll as well. I figured there was no point in using them when I wasn't doing anything.

I got home at 5 (the time he takes his evening pills) and then heated up the leftover pizza for dinner. I also made myself a salad. Couldn't interest him in one.

He just reported the pills are working already (just 80 minutes later!)

He'll get some exercise tonight! Hopefully it will settle down before bedtime.

He's also limiting his fluid intake as per the instructions and has is achieving this by not drinking any water. I'm pretty sure that's not what the nurse expected but they added 16 oz of high protein Ensure to his daily diet to help with recovery so that cuts out 1/4 of the possible space for water. Hopefully these water pills are short lived. I had enough trouble getting him to drink 16 oz of water a day before surgery.

Woot! Continuing improving symptoms and 24 hours with no fever. So that moves me out of the strictest of isolation requirements except that I will still not be unmasked around dh until 10 days or 2 negative covid tests. I'll take the first test tomorrow morning.

For now, though, I can take out the recycle without feeling like I'm cheating.

The rules state I still must be masked when inside in public, and I should choose not to eat at a restaurant. But if I was a kid, I could go to school and eat in the classroom with the other kids.

Regardless, those mask rules are no different than my behaviour before getting covid (except I would unmask around my family.)

All masking rules end for me next Thursday. We don't have the two negative test shortcut from masking here so I'll still be masked around dh until next Thursday unless I test negative 2x. But I'll be able to attend any doctor's appointments with him.

The different rules in different jurisdictions makes it really confusing since it seems like everyone is making it up as they go and not following 'science.' I'm guessing that is actually true, the powers-that-be figure out how much they can ask of people and only ask that much. So not based on what is safe, just what they think people will do. That is not exactly confidence building.

Lucylee, did you see upset news tonight for your favorite (not!) team?

I have had a dizzy day of congratulations and patting myself on the back. Tomorrow I get back to work on the stuff that didn't happen today.

Kathryn, so glad to see you're improving. Is dh likewise showing improvement? Thinking of both of you.

No improvement in dh yet.

Not sure how long it will take once the diuretics are started. Right now he's upset with me because I made him take them today at supper. He figures he'll be up all night. He was up all night last night so I don't know what the problem is.

We have agreed he doesn't have to go outside to walk anymore. He did not do well outside today. I, on the other hand, did. It was lovely be out in the fresh air and sunshine. And tonight, while my decaf tea steeped, I stood out on the balcony and looked at the moon, Venus, Mars, Orion and other stuff I don't know. The Northern Lights were visible here last night but that was the night I slept through the night so I missed them!

TWINS — YES! Can’t say we shed any tears around here.
And then Houston fell, too. :? Can’t say we have any loyalties to Houston, but we were kinda pulling for them since they put us out. It “looks” better if the team that beats you ends up beating everybody else too, you know. All the top sedes seem to be getting beat lately.

Well, it’s been a night of the good, the bad, and the ugly around here. The good — dgd’s team won and she got two hits. The bad dgs’ practice. Ugh. He was just lazy and not at his best. The ugly — he got hit in the head with a ball! I don’t think hd has a concussion but I’m keeping a close eye on him.
Both dgrands are worn out and in bed already. Dgs is awake and he seems very normal, just tired. I did give him some children’s Tylenol.

So glad to hear Ken is showing quick improvement!
And sounds like Mr Dee is doing better too. Thanks for thinking of us, Dee.
Tomorrow is another day.

Twins, congratulations! I know how hard you worked for this, so you certainly deserve it and we are proud of you.

It took 2 alarms but I got up early and left the house on time. Drove to DFriend's house which took 35 minutes in a lot of traffic. I was about 5 minutes earlier from when we should leave and she hadn't done her hair yet and was walking around like she didn't have a care in the world. EVERY thing she goes to she shows up late. I discovered on the way as she was telling me lane changes (this lane goes slower, wanting me to change lanes to get up a bit) is probably because she's always late. I don't drive that way. Anyway, I was the last one to enter the class but I had told our leader I might be late.

She insisted on taking me to lunch for driving her, though I told her it wasn't necessary. But we did that and I had a lovely lunch from a buffet which amused me to see we were using the same serving utensils, etc. They've definitely relaxed our rules about stuff like that. So I just did my best not to touch my food and hope for the best. I tipped our waitress who was very nice and worked hard.

A lot of conversation while we ate. I realized tonight I was feeling sad. I guess talking about stuff does not always help. She and I know each other very very well. But I'm getting the thought that she could be a real project. Her car is in a shop but they are having problems getting employees to work so they had no idea when they'll get to her car repair. I told her to let me know if she needs a ride next week. They do have another vehicle but it is a very big van which she doesn't drive. And apparently her DH does not want to drive her all around everywhere.

While I was out, and my phone was on do not disturb, DH began calling me. There were several calls on the house phone. He knew what I was doing today. So what this was about I do not know. I'm sure he needed me to help him with something. He was out at that time getting his new radiator ordered. Later when he called that he was coming home I asked if he got the radiator and he said yes it's all taken care of. So maybe later I will find out what it was all about. I did notice when he wandered out to the kitchen in his birthday suit  that he had a big bruise on the backside of his hip. I asked him about it and he said where? So I told him and he mumbled something about being fumblefooted. Did you fall, yes I'm fumblefooted. sigh...
