Good afternoon!

It's been a while. Work keeps keeping me busy, though I suspect I will be less busy for the next couple of days, as our expert is unavailable, and there's only so much I can do without him. When I'm not doing paid work, I'm still catching up on the massive backload of laundry that showed up when my kids had to clear paths to their radiators. I have had some help from DD, but my own fussiness keeps me doing a lot of it by myself. (There are things I prefer to drip-dry, rather than throw the whole load in the dryer, but we don't have enough hanging space inside to hang an entire load. So it comes down to what I want to hang and not. DH put a load in the dryer the other day and hung up one thing. I quickly stopped the dryer and found five more things. I don't want my fleecy stuff to get all pilled.)

I am trying to spend more time tidying up around here. In less than a month's time, we have plans to get together with friends and play all the Ticket to Ride games, or at least all the ones we have between us. (Neither of us have Germany, the Netherlands, Amsterdam, or London.) Our plan is to spend the entire weekend playing. It would be so wonderful if we could have them here for one of those days. Plus, tidying means going from room to room, so maybe I'll get more steps in.

I am sorry to hear Dee's and blessed's DHs are health challenges don't seem to be much better. Glad to hear Ken's recovery is continuing. blessed, is there any hope of your DH being off the tubes any time soon?

I am going to try to get to some of that tidying now! Take care, everyone!

Hi, all. Good Monday here. Last night I did some of the morning chores so I was a bit ahead today. I got my laundry washed and hung out.

I called a county office to ask a couple questions and got satisfactory answers. I talked to DH's customer and we made arrangements to meet at the first office so she could get that notary done and we could get the form put in the public records. It took a while, they were mighty slow, but I was really happy to get it done. She wanted to come with us to other county office, but I convinced her to just go home and let us do it. I was afraid she would say things that would slow the process down or cause them to stop our project.

That office was extremely slow and I can stand around ok (lack of chairs) and the best thing about taking a rollator with us is that DH has a chair wherever he stops. We got him registered again. She wanted to know why I included all the past years of records (insurance, etc.) and I told her I was just catching him up since the last time he was registered. She laughed about that...No they just start all over again. She said they purged him in 2019 from their records! I told them I tried to purge him too but here he is again! She looked at us ... a long steady look and asked why now? Well, we're trying to get a permit for this work. I guess she saw us come in barely able to walk... But that went well and they were nice there. She said my papers for the job I turned in looked good. Someone else will look at them with a fine tooth comb and I am crossing my fingers.

We stopped for a sandwich on the way home; trip to HD where we got the toilet part. DH got one with a chain which I didn't think would work, but he says it will. Mechanical stuff, he's usually right.

But the very best part of today: I found my lost earring part in the floor of the car. Must have lost it while I was loading groceries last week. Yay!

Brought in my laundry which had time to dry. Cooked dinner; we had a ham steak, spanish rice, and green beans, and a piece of cake. We've been eating good around here, I've been making an effort to cook more.

I keep looking for good news from our board husbands. Every day I think about them all and their families.

I have had dinner and did up dishes that were in the sink I "saved" them till evening & got the put away.
Last loade is in the dryer now got them upstairs and folded & put away and the other load too.
Glad for my progress today inside.
I did not get outside no worries it was cloudy rainy & they spray across the street so outside stuff can wait.

The have lowered the temps for the weekend not 80* for the forecast hi oh well.

Very productive day but I gave up in the evening and just surfed after finishing the weekly house blessing.

Just had a bowl of cereal to top-up my 4:30 dinner.

Dgs2 arrives first thing tomorrow and will be here for a lot of the day. So I'm trying to plan stopping everything and just playing with him. Or at least mostly playing with him, I still have to do prep food for the two of us.
