Mine may be busy as a beaver Tuesday, because I am. That much needed bit of relaxation I finally got yesterday must be coming back to bite me because today is crazy. I'm out the door in a minute to dermatologist. The flight in the a.m is early - 7:30 so I need to do as much as possible today and tonight.

Dh reminded me yesterday that we need a card for the bride and groom, and asked this a.m. about me taking something to the Fed Ex store. I had to say I didn't think I could do the Fed Ex trip. I have workout at 2 and body work at 4:30. In between I'll try to catch up with dfriend M - they will be out later for their anniversary. Dermatologist is at 8:10, about thirty minutes from now and it takes 15 to get there. Dfriend M said she had noticed spot so was glad I was getting it checked out.

See ya!

This is my one day free to do housework today. Running a vacuum is not recommended for air quality but mine has a good filter so I'm going to have to do so.

My home is yellow. All the light coming into it is sepia toned. I experienced this in New Delhi, but never here. The visibility is very low, from here I can barely see a mile (the building outlines loom in the 'fog' so I know they are there.) My downtown view is gone as are all the buildings across the river from me (I can see the dark shadow of the trees, but none of the buildings are visible.)

Last night I sealed off the apartment door because that part of the apartment smelled of smoke. The air filters are keeping up with the smell but I've had a headache and stinging eyes for about 20 hours now.

Thankfully, it isn't as warm as last week and our apartment actually cooled a degree overnight. So it is just 75. But soooooo stuffy. I have a small battery fan that I set up to blow on my wherever I'm sitting.

Dh and I have argued already this morning because I stated he cannot go out for fitness walk today. Here's the public health guidance for our current conditions:
Healthy Person: Reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors, especially if you experience symptoms such as coughing and throat irritation.

At risk Person: Avoid strenuous activities outdoors. Children and the elderly should also avoid outdoor physical exertion.
I may try masking inside to see if that will help the headache and thick head. Thankfully, I have N95 masks. Not many, but some.

Today I have a "Luncheon" to attend because I am now the treasurer of one of the groups in the Senior's Centre. I don't really want to go, but it is what it is. Two people from each group are being invited. I will actually eat ahead of time because I don't know what's on the menu that I will be able to "chew".

Our accountant called dh's number yesterday to ask when I could bring the paperwork to his office. It needs to be there by Friday to be filed by the 15th, as he has to go over the books for the business. He double checks all my work. Therefore, I am very busy with actually doing the paperwork today and tomorrow and hoping I get everything done and balanced by Friday morning at 9.

We have the same hazy sky as yesterday with a lot more wind today. It looks the same, but the wind isn't helping.

On top of everything else, dh asked if I wanted to go to the landfill with him. I reminded him that I had the luncheon and I would be happy to take the stuff on my way to the luncheon.

No idea what we will have for supper.

Dryer has been going on the wrinkle away setting, and now that laundry is all away. I need to empty the dishwasher and start to refill it. Plus there are odds and ends on the counter to get washed. Mostly wooden spoons and sharp knives.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.

Home from the dermatologist. They did biopsy on one spot, not the one that prompted the visit. Seven to ten days before it comes back. I also went thought the drive thru line at the post office to mail something, and also went by the monument company that the temple cemetery committee uses, and dropped off a check there.

I'm eating breakfast now and trying to figure out what to do next.

I just looked at the smoke map - we'll be in a smoky area in NH for sure.

I've given up and put on a mask. I could smell smoke inside the apartment and if I can smell the smoke, it means the gasses I can't smell are likely in here as well.

I s2s eventually and trimmed my bangs, then ate breakfast and a snack.

Now I need to get to work. I'll put on headphones to distract myself while I work.

Here's the local air quality meter. I can just make out the Peace Tower now and the improvement is reflected in the graph.

Hello everybody. I had a scramble this morning, paying several bills and figuring stuff out and getting it all out to the mailbox before the postal gal comes. It was easier when they used to come every day in the afternoon. Now it's all different times and often earlier in the morning. Never fails, when I get stuff out a bit later she's already been here. This time I beat her!

After all that, doing my QT, got studying something I had all mixed up in my head, 2 stories wrong...and a name I couldn't identify... I'm into some stuff that after all these years I don't think I've read through in any sort of order. I knew several of the stories but not how it all went together. I'm using a small Bible that doesn't have much of a concordance in the back.... so I came and looked it up online and finally I understand what was muddled in my thinking. I'm sorry now that I did not take the time for a lot of years to do a bit of studying each day. Now, it's my happiest part of my day.

But I must get busy in my house. I need to clean the rubber stuff around the inside of the door in my little stand up freezer. It's gone moldy, probably from those days that we didn't have the freezer running. And I have a bed to change and sheets to wash.

Both Idonwanna items...but off I go to finish these things.

Sorry you're having such problems with the smoke. It must be awful to have it inside your homes. Sometimes if the Everglades catch on fire, and it's a big fire, I can smell it outside...but I've never experienced it inside my house. Just lucky I guess. I'm not too close to the swamps anyway.

Been a busy day here..

However my day did not start off well. One of my close friends in AZ was murdered by her husband. She was my workout partner for many years and all my circle of friends are trying to wrap our heads around what happened to her. She and her husband were married in 2016. A second marriage for both and were so very happy. All her FB pictures show the two of them happy as larked and everyone loved them both.

For some unknown reason he snapped...said God told him he couldn't be part of the family any more. The son reported he heard them arguing in their back yard and it continued in the house. He shot my friend multiple times in front of her son. It was a very gruesome scene. My friend was a sweetheart and loved by all who knew her. To say we are all in shock is an understatement.

Needed to take my mind off of what happened and started working on my guest bedroom. Except for hanging pictures it is done. Then I worked on my laundry room which has been bugging me for quite a while. Had lots of decisions to make doing both. Now washing some of my throw rugs. Then I want to work on my powder room. It is actually a full bathroom, but is seen and used as a powder room. You can see it as you enter my house. I don't like the way it looks. There must have been a sale on the granite that is through out my home as well as most that are in my section of the community. Its weird with black, tan and brown with a bit of white thrown it.

Nothing looks good with it. Black if too black, and the browns look awful with browns. I've tried several different shades and no of them work. Same with tans. My next option I think will be charcoal gray. I'm not crazy about the color, but at this point I think I'm gonna have to give in and give it a try.

Still need to do a small grocery run. Yesterday was a bust and I am out of a few things that I need. Didn't go to my class yesterday or today.

When I was working with the horses we had a few desert fires that made breathing tough. I felt bad for the horses cause it was really bad, and the fires were big enough that the smoke drifted to my house. There's a huge fire in the same area at the moment causing roads to be closed. Everyone is on high alert in case it gets too close to the care center and they need to evacuate the horses. Remember the horses at the center are still while and not trailer trained. Plus our population has grown to 20, including a foal that was born after we rescued her mom.

Buzz...there goes my dryer. Poof!!!
