We have already done some cleaning and tossing of stuff in the garage. I needed a full shelf for storage for the Craft Guild, so dh cleared some of his stuff and tossed some stuff into the back of the truck. Looks like I'm going to the landfill again!

We were both up before 6. It rained for less than 5 minutes. I have both a/c units going to cool inside the house. I've also done a load in the washer, which is now in the dryer. Dishwasher got emptied and refilled. Now it's doing it's job. Sink is full of sharp knives and a casserole dish currently soaking in hot, soapy water.

After the landfill, I need to go to Costco to pick up insulin and a chicken for supper.

Let the family know I was not up the the meal at a cafe' for dad's day for my son. They were understanding.
The update today was the gals were not happy with the service and food was cold when it finally did come dson said I did not miss anything!

I have the deck grape vine on my mind to get that prepped for the tear down on Mon. Birds nest in it and smaller bees possible so needs to have that dealt with early as possible. Put down the netting so it can be dragged easily.
Did some got two netting pieces piled with grapevines and a good start on that found the bird nests and not bees so that is good. It's exposed enough to see what is under the top layer now.
Walked around the block I was coughing so came home.
Have my 1/4 amount of step quota for the day good for this time slot on track.

Snack run needs to happen. Mowing also maybe Sat.
i slept well.
Family maybe in town after the 4th so that is omm.

Up on time slept well.
Coffee planning that is all so far.
Yesterday I painted bug jars!
Waving & thinking of you all!
-----
Back from doing a rock drop; plus a snack run for workers next week & fun shopping at JoAnn's sale.
Have been home 5 days :D .
Gonna play with my planner stuff this afternoon.
Gotta go prune off more stuff in the front area I am working on.

I am just worn out today after the evening with people. We were all on our screened porch - maybe 20 total? Plenty of food, lots of good conversation and house and porch were in reasonable shape. Dcleaning lady is here now doing her magic.

Twins - you definitely win the "Hostess with the Mostest" award. Rest and recovery are excellent plans for the day after.

I am still being boring. I am spending my time sitting in recliner watching hours of youtube videos. I am catching up on those channels I subscribe to, including Nancy.

My Stats -
** This is Day #8 of covid being in our home. DH is back to normal. Neither kid has any symptoms even though we have all been together for days. DS14 has this vital need to talk with us. At first, we tried to have the frequent talks by phone so we could be in different rooms. That effort was quickly abandoned, and we just went with the normal. Normal for us is….. DS14 sitting 6' from us for an hour or so each day while talking though his day and ways to respond to what he sees, hears, or happens.

** Me Day #4 recovery from failing down the cellar steps. I am pleased with my recovery progress. Yesterday I was able to walk with no pain. I am walking at about 1/4 speed of my normal pace. I do notice a tendency to drag my left foot so I will be monitoring that. I think it will get better as my left ankle & knee heals. I carefully tried to fully bend my left knee yesterday and was successful. Because it is swollen/bruised/scraped/tender I am babying it. The heat is decreasing on the swollen owies sites so I can stop using the frozen vegetable packs on them. The multiple large bruises showing up are quite something. Each time I see them I give thanks for surviving and not being seriously hurt.

** Me Day #3 Covid testing positive. Yesterday I felt absolutely crappy, and the coughing is exhausting. I am monitoring my heath facts to know I am doing okay and don't need hospital. My oxygen level is 97%, temperature is staying below 101, blood sugar between 100-140, my blood pressure is always low (100/60). DH and I both agree that we wanted to use country folk meds and have been doing that. DH took 3-day dose before he got better. Today is my 2nd day taking it. I am looking forward to tomorrow!

I'm back from numerous errands. Landfill. Gas into truck. Returned massive recycling bin and bought a garbage can that was the exact same size and cost almost $8. less. Only difference was the colour and there is no symbol on the side. Then I went to Costco to get insulin for dh. I ended up getting a lot of other things, including a chicken and a package of hot drumsticks. We ate those for lunch when I got home. I have put everything away.

It started raining when I was driving home. Now it's pouring and all 3 cats decided to go outside. There are numerous places that they can be dry out there. I left the man door of the garage open for them. 8-)

Back from my coffee and conversation gathering … had a great time as usual.

Went to my morning class before that. Eating lunch and then I have several errands to run after that.

Busy day in our little village I see. I got a card and a letter to the mailbox in time, then made out the next card with note and check inside and got that out in time too, a day early for that one. Tomorrow evening I have a cake to make for the next birthday (DH), know he will appreciate that. I have a couple plastic Happy Birthday signs I will put on top.

LadyM, I will be so glad when I read that you are walking normally again. We're witnessing a miracle here.

Cathy, I really liked your last post late last night. Understand it completely. We want husbands that are just like us, don't we?! I have to remember mine does not have some of the qualities that I would like to see, but he has some I do not too. The forever need to work all the time. So annoying. But where would we be now if he had not done that these past 30 years? I shudder to think.

So I have gone through all my tops and reorganized everything. 2 again to the too-small bin (I only keep ones in there I really care about...have pared down what I keep these days). 1 top to the working outside only bin, 2 tops to the rubbish. Only redeeming quality of those is they covered me.

And I'm slowly working on my mending. Finally. First I had to uncover the machine cabinet, pull out the 2-drayer cabinet, get the sewing box down out of the closet.... find the machine oil, get a tutorial how to get the top off so a drop would come out... read a booklet about the cogs for zig zag stitches, read another booklet about the presser foot, struggle to get the cog in and set the machine. Get a lamp from the other room (dark corner). Pink thread already in there so I practiced on a hole in a tea towel. Probably used more thread than it would cost to buy another towel, but it was a favorite of mine. Got patch material out of other closet and changed thread and repaired 2 holes in DH's work shorts. Nice and neat.

Now I'm taking a break, eating a snack, came here. Not procrastinating.... welllllll... maybe I am. If I sit down at the table in from of the jig saw puzzle y'all can say tsk tsk...get back to work. OK! I have 2 pillow cases to work on, one to turn into a sewed on covering for the pillow who's surface is shredding. Nice pillow or I wouldn't bother. And a zipper case to body pillow I gave away, to cut down and make for that newly covered pillow. Back. To. Work.

Editing: all sewing done. Wow when I took that pillow to remove the gauzey top that was shredding off I took that and a layer of padding off easily and found underneath a perfectly fine pillow with a nice covering already on. They'd taken that pillow and put another layer right on top to call it an extra support pillow. So I cut down the long zippered protector and sewed, then I cut down the long pillow case and made a nice double cuff and put it all together. Wow, it's like brand new. I am glad I saved all that.

Now all that's left is to clean up everything I've dragged out. I do have another pair of slippers I found that need a patch inside where the heal goes. I always wear that spot out first. So I'll put flannel and padding square, hand sew, and I'll have another good pair of slippers for a while. I'd forgotten all about that pair. Out of sight, out of mind, ya know?!

I am getting the oil changed in the Tahoe.
I think I told y’all we skipped the Memphis trip because dh was trying not to overdo things. And I had been complaining with headache and back ache… well, yesterday, I woke up and suddenly I had the worst sickness I can EVER remember… I mean sitting on the toilet, holding a bucket, breaking out in a cold sweat. This lasted half an hour or so, but it seemed like half a day.
I spent the rest of the day on the couch, but by last night I was feeling better and today is totally back to normal.

I would suspect food poisoning, but dh and I had eaten almost exactly the same things the two days before I got sick, and he had no stomach issues at all.

Anyway, I’ve done a whole lot of nothing this week.
Tomorrow is another day.

After Lunch CI /
I rested a bit worked on setting up my July planer pages.
I have cleaned under the mower fueled it & added oil for next time, this evening or tomorrow.
Note to self have one of the guys put new mower blade on for me next week.
Got the rest of the grape vines off the deck rail.
I have three piles that need to go in the dump trailer when it arrives.
Happy with my progress.
Rested a bit and took an hour to listen to a pod cast , napped through some of it.
