((((Kathryn)))) That sounds exceedingly frustrating to be without internet access via cell and wifi especially with a high tech vehicle.
Having no internet access is common here but we know where the many dead areas are that have no coverage and people make adjustments. To be a visitor and not have knowledge that those dead areas exist would be exasperating. Some people who live in the dead internet areas use radio waves that require line of sight and others use starlink. Both of those require investment and special equipment.
I saw something today that I've never seen here. I was so surprised that I stopped my vehicle, backed up and parked next to the sign so I could investigate it. It was a reserved parking place for charging an electric vehicle. I was curious what it would look like, so I searched for the electrical component. The only thing I found was a normal looking electrical plug-in mounted on a street light pole next to the parking slot. I expect electric vehicle charging to look different than a normal household plug. Just show how clueless I am!
Another thing that surprised me today was all mask requirements are gone at the hospital. We walked in expecting to see everyone wearing masks like the past several years. Instead we saw dozens of medical staff and patients without masks. We asked if we needed to wear mask because we were surprised. The hospital staff told us masks are not required anymore. After becoming used to seeing everyone wear masks inside hospital it felt weird for everyone to be maskless. A new normal.

Re: Fri. Look Up for Northern LItes
I painted some on the legs of the next piece to try on the deck grey top with black legs now and a black box are both dry.
I put the small crate on the deck. The other piece not yet have to think where it will go first. Plus its hot out there now.
Dd was here for lunch. And unloaded a dresser to take that of course meant we had to go through some pic. just a few but I had to tell her who of her dad's grand parents family they were while she labeled the back. Then boxed up the items it surprised me that most fit in one box. We took the drawers out and took the dresser out and it and one other fit in the SUV she is using currently. I unloaded the other dresser boxed up my winter items and the other things not sure what to do with but had a JoAnn's bag for the tech stuff cords and such. Now I need to decide what goes in that spot.
That has been freed up. Dd also took a coat rack I painted so that helps to clear some items out of here yea!
Got my step goal in doing that as well yea!
Splashed cool water on my face neck and hair to cool down some.
She will be back Sun. morning.
Yea for decluttering success and the excess snacks and mixed with with dd to use with the kitchenaid mixer I gave her yesterday.
I never used it much. dgd likes to bake.

I am trying to reclaim the creativity room that one dresser left from and I have "found" my desk and making some progress in that zone.
It is coming together but it is slow progress. The basement was not too bad and I just had a small box to put with the other one that helps a lot!
Creativity room zone is better and I can work on it the next day or two.
Dgd is making angel food cake with the mixer and going to use one of the bundt pans I had here, I had two.

Re: Fri. Look Up for Northern LItes
I've never been so glad to be finished with medical appts for a week. I am disappointed that in October we'll have 4 rather tight together but at least a weekend separates them, two and two.
We are seeing employees of all types in masks, patients about half and half.
We went to the low-priced grocery on the way home today - FLion, which has two kinds of stores, the large newer ones and the older smaller ones. This one older, smaller. We go to these because the staff is always friendliest. We were disappointed at every turn today. Produce was way below their usual quality, low on stock, and when we got home, we realized 2 products had damaged packaging, one of which caused a frustrating spill. Surprising to be this disappointed on a Friday afternoon, when you would expect they would be preparing for the onslaught of Friday evening and weekend customers.
Charging stations are around us at various places. I believe the first ones I ever saw came to a parking lot near a WF grocery but I don't remember how long ago that was.
Dd43 came over with her youngest to show me a burn she'd gotten from the stove. Ouch. and brought us half her online order of Impossible meat, so that's good to have in the freezer. The groceries are still not stocked back following the 4th.
She gave us a heads-up that dstepson may come over in the morning expecting to do some indoor repairs. I have had such tiring days that I just don't know if I am looking forward to it. A lot to do to get the housework back on track. I stayed up until now getting the dishes done.
I'm amused that an online order I made says "delivered" (definite past tense) on Saturday, tomorrow. lol
Hoping Kathryn's travels become more like rest and relaxation.
Twins', I smiled when I thought about your little dog dancing with happiness.
