Posting from dfriends’ home in ATL. We’ll have dinner out and play trivial pursuit tonight with their neighborhood. Home tomorrow. I’m having a relaxing day because dh has someone to hang out with and go places!

I’m glad to see Kathryn home safely but hate to see her start in on babysitting so soon. I usually need a vacation from the vacation to settle back in on routines.

We've both had afternoon sleeps. I think 3 hours is too long for a nap. I BBQed supper and dh was a bigger help than usual because I had a chat with him the other night after he complained that the beans weren't cooked enough. I told him he was more than welcome to help make supper and do prep and clean up afterwards instead of always leaving it all up to me which is why the beans might have been under cooked because I can't do it all. So now he is being more helpful.

I think dh stretched out on the bed after we ate. He looked a bit sleepy when he just went past me to go into the bathroom.

Well, I definitely want to say something when asked!

The company who visited here liked my cake very much. HRH just loved it and said the fruit-to-cake ratio was ideal. WonderBoy was especially interested in the puzzle of arranging pineapple ring parts. It was gone in a flash.

Yesterday I visited my colorist. Went to grocery and also carried several items needed by dd43's household as she prepared for a bday party.

Today was bday party at her house. We had finished the meal, the cake she baked, and it was gift time when dd23 managed to arrive, too. There were many - it was quite the full house.

But next thing we knew, an old friend of HRH came with his 3 teen daughters, assuming HRH still lived there! They came in and friend, oblivious, just sat down with HRH and settled in talking. Girls knew something was odd - they realized, this is a party! Eventually, I was able to express to friend we don't live here! HRH was finally able to get a word in to him and explain that for HRH, in fact, this was an extremely rare visit. (Grands always come to see him, not so much the other way around.)

A long series of events later, we ended up at our house, forgoing gift time at the party. They stayed so long that the teen daughters were nearly begging their Dad to go. They had a long drive ahead of them and then a worship service this evening in the community in which they are actually visiting overnight. One of them was pretty definite that their mother was going to kill them.

I did go over to dd's again later to see the gifts and finish a little dessert, but HRH stayed home, kinda drained.

My goodness, Harriet. If I'd ever done anything like that I'd have been sooo embarrassed! To show up at the wrong house when another party was going on. The most interesting things happen to you!

RRose, I must answer your question about losing weight in this heat. Yes, I've lost a few pounds. But I don't think it's water weight, I've been drinking way more than I usually do. But I don't have time to be bored and snacking a lot...I think that's where the pounds went! The heat has made my chapped lips which are very bad get worse. And I've been sweating like a pig. Tell me, how does anybody know that pigs sweat? And how much DO they actually sweat? All I know is my clothes have been sticking to me and often in the middle of the day I come in to get a dry set on.

I've been working on the signs off and on all day. I have made 3 for the roads, lettering on both sides and boy that took a long while to get all that done. I hope they last until we get some of this stuff sold, especially the truck.

Brought in my laundry and I'm washing DH's whites because he was also running out. I can't seem to keep up with it all. I had to go into my stash in the freezer and give DH a casserole, 1 big serving I'd kept in there for when he has his operation.

LadyM...I'm almost afraid to say this...but are you sure your rash isn't shingles? I certainly hope it's not.

Ok, must get in the shower. My friend wants picked up for church tomorrow. I probably would have stayed home otherwise.

NANCY -- Thank you, thank you!! Yes, the song was from your Relax video & I searched where you said on y ou t ube & there it was at 21:58! 8-) No wonder I couldn't find it -- I was looking for a Sonatina by Clementi & the song is actually a Bach Prelude in C Major. I never would have found it without your help. I used to play this often in my younger years & am delighted that I can now buy sheet music for this. Thank you again SO much. Happy, happy! :D
