What needs to be tied up today to end the month?

I'm up, need to s2s, breakfast, and on to body work at 10 a.m. I need a tune up after so much sitting last week!

I walked 4K steps this a.m. while talking (listening?) to dd on the phone. Today is the first day of her new job so it was great to have a talk as she drove to work.

Gotta keep moving!

I went to the garden early this morning. I fed/watered the rabbits, watered the grass in center of garden and harvested cucumber, pepper and tomatoes. Then I went inside and did all my AM personal care cards.

Both kids are up and doing their AM personal care.

This is our last week of summer before school starts next week. I think knowing this entices me to relax and enjoy it. I soon won't have options and will spend a large part of my day on school focus.

DS14 has a birthday this week. I need to get that celebration planned.

DD12 has school enrollment on Thursday. She is not eager to return to school. I gave her the option of doing online charter school, but she is choosing to attend IRL public school again this year.

10th grade homeschool classes need to be finalized, curriculum chosen and lessons planned. Eeek at the thought! I have DS14 high school transcript planned so I know what classes are required by our state. I need to quit procrastinating, and make it seem harder than it is. Once I get started with the planning process it always comes together easier than the big dang deal that I make it to be in my head.

I woke up thinking it was Saturday. I told dh and he thought it was Sunday when he woke up.

All clean laundry is away, other than pile of black pants. I need to get the donations dropped off this week because my car is getting full. I will need the space on Thursday morning.

I am heading to Monday morning knitting, then home for a quick lunch and then back out to Monday afternoon craft group. I will knit again this week, with thoughts of cross stitch.

I'm also considering donating "large" books. I have a pile of cat/kitten books I don't even open, but I would like the shelf for something else. I keep going to that "closet" area of the house and wondering how I can re-do that space.

We are having breakfast for supper. Dh went and picked up some eggs this morning from our farmer friend who has free range chickens.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.

Morning....

Seeing all the school supplies in the stores is sometimes bittersweet for me. I loved teaching and unlike LadyM, my curriculum usually stayed the same throughout the year. I kept a lesson plan book with all my transparencies in a three ring note book, along with many of my master worksheets that went with them. I used much of what P&P taught me in my classroom and many teachers were amazed at how organized I was. It was all because of the strategies I learned from them. I had all my classes color coded... the bins where the students' folders were kept, which matched the bins themselves. Each class had a colored marker to match the bins, and the kids would use it to mark the tops of their papers.. That way when I was grading I could put all the like class papers together.

I used colored index cards that matched each class with each student's name on it. It had each students information on it, and I made a second card the same way so I could record behavior issues or dates to when I contacted the parents. I had IEP meeting to keep track of and used my box in the same way. Took me awhile to figure out had to set everything up, but once I did, it helped to take the stress out of my day to day work. I am forever grateful for P&P's help.

Came home from class and Sweetie had Perry Mason on ...It was one I didn't remember seeing so we sat together and watched it as I drank my second cup of coffee.

Next up is to do a few needed things around the house and then if time permits, I have some Amazon returns I need to do. I also have a prescription waiting for me at Walgreens. And since its the first of the month, have some bills to do. Since so many of y'all are experiencing the return of Covid, I am seriously debating on getting a booster shot. I have my 55 high school reunion planned in late Sept, and have already made my reservations for my hotel, air fare and car. Don't want anything tho mess that up...am somewhat worried about a hurricane headed our way during that time, but will deal with it if it happens.

Off to start my day...BBL

My back is is improving gradually I am trying to not over do it.
Glad for the dishes being put away I did after dinner last evening yea!
Trash is out already today.
Considering what day to wash sheets.
Did a short walk with ddog today.
I did 15 org. / declutter zone work in the shed yea for even more progress!
Have dough raising in the crock pot on the deck / today I will try cooking it or pizza in the crock pot just for fun.
Grands have come and gone. Dd have picked up dgd.
Waving to all. Thinking of Bw2 lately.

Thinking of Bw2
Me too! I miss her posts.

I have been busy getting things done. I alternate between doing inside and outside tasks. When the temps reach 100F outside (Noonish) I will limit my outside activity until 8pm when it drops back into double digits.

I rode with DH to the next town to pick up his repaired weedeater. I wanted to talk through my homeschool curriculum selection guidelines with DH. We agree about how I will proceed in the selection process.

I have a dozen or so chicken tenderloins thawing. I'm not sure what I will do with them but will be cooking them in the next 30 minutes or so.

I'm also missing bw2. And Dee.

Body work was good although I feel like I'm still rounding my shoulders. Since getting home I've piddled at several things - I reported damaged Swig tumbler that doesn't hold the temp cold and called about a replacement CGM because the first one last week fell off because it wasn't straight. I don't think they'll replace the Swig tumbler - but thought I would try. It was discounted but I don't know if it was "Final" sale, which isn't warranted. This is the 32 oz tumbler I use for ice and water that goes everywhere with me. It has a top of course, and a long metal straw with a plastic tip so it goes to workouts and in the car and everywhere around the house.

I also watered the plants in front and back. I think I lost a pot of zinnias because of the heat and lack of watering last week. Facing west is brutal here. I planned our supper - pork chops, 1/2 small sweet potato each, and oven roasted broccoli - and had my lunch and entered that all in MFP.

I'm going to refill my meds for the week and then exit upstairs while the ddog is inside.

I finally started with school planning. I am maybe 1% done but am happy to just be started instead of thinking & procrastinating.

Lunch was fun to cook because I started without a plan & invented it as I went along. I do like cooking that way and seeing what happens.
