Enchilada's are baking in the oven. some with cheese and some without.
moved the hose a couple times. I am giving it a great soak so that I won't water for 2 more days.

Dd older is flying home and my house is a tip!
At least the kitchen is.

before I finish cleaning up, I will make some apple muffins and some chocolate chip dough.
I don't know why but I have been thinking about Christmas prep which also includes making duplicate meals for the holidays. my question is always will dh eat it. - I never know.

dh also has been talking about me growing things for the food pantry next year. I am not sure bc he only went there once with green onions that I grew. I have had extra tomatoes (which he asked me to grow for the food pantry) and as of yet has not brought them in. I have to check what he put in the garage - he picked them green - geesh Louise. I have a feeling they are rotten by now.
I was going to make an extra bed for the food pantry but now I am not sure. It's a lot of work for me to do the whole garden and extra veggies. Ok do I sound like I let it all off my shoulders. My goodness; boy I can complain!

dw stopped so I might as well empty it.
time to take the foil off the enchiladas and put cheese on the 1/2 that dh (if he eats it- official grumble ) and I will have and the other half has no cheese for dd older.

Put other stuff in a box for later. I have a place cleared to work now too.

We started watching the football game between Toronto and Hamilton. Then we went to get something to eat. Came back and now we are watching the end of the game.

Before we left I had dh help me deconstruct the wall between the "closet" in the pantry and the "closet" in the library. These 2 rooms used to be children's bedrooms before we moved in. We took the doors off as soon as we moved in, along with the doors into the rooms. The doorways have never been altered, so IF someone didn't tear down this house after we no longer own it at some point far in the future, they could make it a 3 bedroom house again.

Anyway, the Costco shelf on wheels will be getting used at both ends and my need for a very shallow shelf in that space is solved. I told dh I would finish taking down the other wall tomorrow.

It's the 4th quarter, and it sounds like Toronto is winning, so I'm going back into the living room.

I made a big pot of mashed potatoes. They turned out tasty but lumpy. I notice sometimes the potatoes mash easily and other times they have lumps.

Next up = plan this week homeschool lessons and get them on DS15 calendar.

Dh and I went out for supper at a fast food joint. On the way home my sister called on Messenger and we set up a call for later in the evening. Dh and I went for a walk and then I called my sister.

We talked for 90 minutes. It took 3 tries. Messenger on the computer didn't work. My VOIP phone was noisy so we settled for her calling my cell phone which worked fine. I got my bullet journal set up for October and updated everything in September and October.

Ds has been adding things to my google calendar. For instance, dfs coming to stay here for 2 nights after the wedding, but I'll have dgs2 at the same time and only have one spare bedroom. I also note dh is leaving for the Netherlands the day after dfs leaves. So it is looking like I'll have dgs all on my own for some time too.

Sigh.... Not that I can't handle it but dh made those plans not realizing dgs will be here because that's not actually on the calendar (nor is the honeymoon so I can't figure the dates out on my own.) An email has been sent.

I also agreed to go visit my sister after Hay Lake. That will wipe out all my renewal from my stay but it has to be done and it is a good time to go. She doesn't know it yet, but she's coming here for Christmas (her partner will be in Austria and has asked me to invite her to come here). as well as in October for ds's wedding (but won't be staying here in October because she and her partner will be at a hotel.) She is having a hard time remembering words and seems quite confused. Not unexpected, my mother's confusion started when she was in her late 60s and was bad enough by 72 that dd asked not to go there for sleepovers anymore. My sister just turned 72. (This is why I say I have less than 8 years of 'living' left, already I'm losing words, just not to the extent my sister is.)

Kathryn, so your DSon is getting married? How fun! Some loss of brain function is normal with old age. Just some. Don't we all get some of that?

All the work on my spreadsheets really taxed my memory. Some of them I hadn't done since the end of April. And there were lots of changes to make. I'm glad they are done now and I hope to not get behind again. Exercise for my brain. I am wondering if I can close everything out at the end of this year.

Had more internet problems and also more phone problems. I called the company, 3rd time I tried to get them to schedule a repair person to come. First time I cancelled because I thought it was fixed. When it didn't stay fixed, I tried their chat line but I lost the lady I was talked with. Then today I called again. Right now the dial tone is normal but it wasn't when I called them. So I hope they find the problem easily and it isn't something inside the house. Inside the house it would be wiring or something, more expensive to fix. We don't need this house phone, but it is bundled together with our internet in a program. I asked about getting rid of it but it doesn't save any money. Most of what we get on that line is spam. DH likes having it.

I am surprised at the band width for brian and emotional energy it took for just doing 30 min. of paper decluttering
and that it took the rest of the day to reclaim areas I'd used for that sort and separate the parts I wanted to keep like the dividers and the covers
to use for other things. Then tonight I remembered the other desk in the spare room is piled with that stuff too ack! I will start on it in the morning
when I am fresh.

NNy shower helped. Glad I got the trash ready to go out to the curb in the morning as well.
Did more dishes.
Heading off to bed.

The place that some people are moving out of are they still getting old tin and blocks from the sheds they had there.
