I rested took a baby aspirin I may have over did it a bit this morning so I decided not to mow.
I am feeling better now that I got the bed cleared off and a lot of the stuff I cannot deal with now is in the spare room as dgd
is rarely here now that she's in high school so no worries doing that. That bed is too shore for dgson.
I painted base coat on a few rocks they are drying now.
I have laundry going. Got it in the dryer.
I enjoyed a movie last night about italy an older guy / a chief went there and did some cooking and the scenery was great.
Thanks Blessed.
-----
I got a tree down it was small gave my self an hour to hand saw on it and then a break if it was not done I got it done yea!
I rested and then worked on the limbs and moved it to the shadier area of the yard to keep doing that work not all today.
Lunch was a plum and 2 slices of pumpkin bread. :mrgreen: Happy with my progress so far.
The limbs can go in the trailer later on. I will get my ten thousand steps in for sure today. I am at nine thousand plus now.

I straightened up my laundry room after getting the shelves back in and purged a bit in there. Was able to set up an extra shelf for printer paper. I wiped down the top of washer and dryer and emptied trash from there. Started on the garage refrigerator. The deal out there is that a glass bottle of beer froze and exploded. I cut myself on another bottle that had some glass shards on it so had to stop and bandage. I got the first two shelves done, working down, before dh got home so abandoned effort for today. We drink very little beer - most of what's out there has been there for awhile, like a couple of years, so needs to be dumped. I'll buy a little more for the Rosh Hashanah dinner, we do have some friends who drink it.

Hello!
Well -- it's 4:00 pm and I haven't had a nap yet -- so -- I'm doing better, right?
Hmmm -- readiness score is 59 (compared to 50 yesterday) and one app says I got 8 hours 7 minutes restful sleep; the other says 6 hours 32. :?
They also differ approx 2 hours for "time in bed." I'm sure I was in bed with tv on for at least two hours of the time they are counting.

I don't exactly have a 5x5 but I did promise myself I'd have at least three ta-das for y'all:
* s2s, Bible reading, morning stretches
* talked to ds (phone call while he was on the road)
* talked to insurance agent
* haircuts
* post office
* steak house for gift card (dfriend's 80th bday party)
* s/s all 3 bathrooms
* washed a very small load of clothes
* talked to insurance agent(s) and realty company (can I count that as the three things/three phone calls?)

Hi, everyone.

Hugs to them that need 'em!!! {(((((hugging)))))}}

Last night I slept 8 hours, with half of that light and 1/4 REM and 1/4 deep. That is really good and what I'm hoping is that it is not totally in response to a terrible night before that, but instead can be replicated.

I received my online purchase of a cake stand/cover that is very pretty and at least somewhat practical. No damage in transit. So far, it makes me happy, as much as a thing can, with no obvious drawbacks. I think HRH is a little bewildered at the space that will be taken up more permanently now that I have decided to get serious about some baking. It's a double-edged sword I guess. (Double-edged spatula, maybe.) I just need something cheerful in my schedule/agenda that has manageably small requirements of bandwidth.

oops, grands... .. bbl

There was a squirrel (really) carrying her baby, who had its tail wrapped around her neck to hang on. Also, there was a praying mantis. Also, there were the stats from last night's game with dgs the MVP this time. Fascinating times we live in. Obviously, Grandma needs to be informed of all.

Going to have a storm here. Wish I could know whether any rain was coming with it, because I've got some outdoor plants that need watering. Dgd says she sees the rain coming at a distance (yes, likely that she does) but I told her I don't smell rain. She was stumped by that one, but she's not quiiite sure that I'm not amazing like that. Dgs just smiles. Anyway, dgd and I both had hair whipping in the wind, so we broke that up to get back to houses.

We had a pretty good rain, I hope you do too, Harriet.

My version of minimalism is moderate. Some of what I see makes me sad...people who clean out to the point of sitting on the floor with their cereal bowl to eat...because - what - no chair? Or table? And I don't like when minimalists make everything match, like all white dishes and walls with no colors anywhere. One lady that I especially like recently said she got rid of lamps on her tables and that left everything neater. She put up overhead lights instead. Well, I find those glaring and I like a nice lamp beside me which can shine light on whatever I am reading. I also go for convenience of things too, and someone recently said that causes multiples and clutter. Well I have scissors in the kitchen, at my desk, back here in the office, in my sewing box. Wherever I am doing work, I can reach for a pair of scissors to use and then put them back. I don't have time to go through the house looking for that thing I only have 1 of.

I have a couple plastic boxes of cards and letters I've received. Someday... if I think I am closer to..whatever... I might pare that down but I'm not ready yet. I have my everyday set of china, 1 set of nicer stuff and 1 set of holiday. Extreme minimalists would get rid of everything but the everyday set, and they'd probably get rid of the china closet too. I recently got rid of a bunch of drinking glasses except for 4 each of 2 sizes and some juices.

My DGD just called with a survey of questions to ask me. She had to get answers from 5 people and I'm glad she picked me for one of them. It was for her social studies class where they are studying 9-11 and she asked me stuff about my experience with it. Her last question was: what did I learn from this experience and I told her "always tell your loved ones you love them every day because we never know what might happen and every day might be our last chance." I think she liked that answer.

I'm too bed hours too late now. All because I don't have a proper functioning computer. Sigh... I spent 45 minutes creating a poster to promote an event and then gave up because I can't get it finished. And another hour trying to catch up on email which is just piling up because I can't clear it out to my email manager.

On the plus side, Lenovo wrote me back and said that looking over all we had done to try and get my laptop up and running, it wasn't likely the battery causing the problem but the motherboard. So they are confident they'll have me up and running in no time once the new motherboard comes in.

In the meantime, I have to wait for my other new computer to come in.

I got the weekly house blessing mostly done and will skip next week since I need to sit in the lobby all day waiting for UPS to try and sneak away without actually delivering my computer (just putting a piece of paper up on the mail room door.) The box UPS was to deliver on Tuesday was not delivered using that method. So dh had to go to the depot to pick it up (and it is sliced right through by mishandling.) I don't want my computer treated that way or delayed getting to me.

I'm off to bed now. Tomorrow will be a difficult day as well. And the weekend is packed with work. No time to actually process things. My brain needs downtime to do that and isn't getting any since everything takes so very long and I'm overwhelmed so my brain is working overtime on catastrophizing.

I’m definitely not a minimalist!
I think my brother and his wife are striving for that lifestyle though— from what dmom says.
I try to be neat and orderly but it’s very hard for me to get rid of things that are sentimental. I probably have every card I’ve ever received!

I have the ironing done! Hooray for that.
Tomorrow is another day.
