October Beginnings PWYC

Post by Twins' Mom »

It's Sunday, beginning of the week, a new month, and the last quarter of the year. What are you plans for the day, week, month, year? And how do you begin?

We're going to the river for a bit but not the entire day, thankfully. I'm going to take chili for a late lunch. I've done some planning for next week, actually next two weeks.

That sounds fun twins.
It is good to have someone to go do things with.
The sun came out that really brightens up the day and my attitude.
I've showered got dressed to shoes.

Hi!

We went to the Costco business center and walked around the store. It's been open as a business center for a couple of years and we've never walked up and down a bunch of aisles for no reason before. They had boxes of 50 SOS pads, so I happily grabbed a box of those. I hadn't seen that size box in a number of years, and it's less expensive. I use them for my pots and pans when needed.

Before we left I turned on the washing machine, so I need to put the wet stuff into the dryer.

The only other thing I want to do today is sweep and mop the floors, but right now dh is doing stuff in the kitchen. I also want to fill the dishwasher.

While I was looking for some stuff for my niece, I decided to open the credenza and look for blankets that I was willing to let go of. I found 2. They were washed before they went in there, so I'm not washing them again. (Maybe I will.)

We are having hot dogs for supper. Dh's request. I will have soup.

It's a gorgeous day here.

Later... (Now that dh is watching NFL football)
All the Costco stuff is away.
Dryer is loaded and going. Nothing in washer.
Hall is swept and mopped.
Bedroom is swept and mopped.
Living room is swept and mopped.

Watching national geo animals up close with Sweetie. We are really enjoying it.

I’ve stripped and remade the bed, washing sheets and then a load of towels. Did my nails and toes as well.

It’s definitely migraine season and am glad I have a drs appointment on Wed.

hello happy October!!!!

d harmony you asked what I will do with the wheat.
I am hoping I get enough wheat to make wheat wreaths and Scandinavian ornaments with d sis in laws. I have wanted to have a soup and salad party with a walk in the woods for fall but I can see after this years graceful moments that I am going to try to put it to next year. I have been wanting to do this for years.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqs8hoSzVC8&t=3s Garden answer shows you how to make wheat wreaths at 6:21

I have a yule goat that goes out during Christmas on the dining room table. There are pretty ones and not so pretty ones. I got mine from Door County - I think from Al Johnson's shop in sister bay.

hello d twins. thank you for starting us this Sunday!!! enjoy your day by the river!

hi d Nancy what a nice way to start the day - with a prayer!

hi d cathy. I am so happy you have a gorgeous day!

hi d rose! glad you are enjoying the nat geo show!
I hope your migraine goes away!!
it is always a joy to be here with you!

it's been a hard day bc I think d kitty is near the end. I am praying she doesn't struggle if I see she is struggling I will take her to the emergency vet but dh doesn't want to take her out of her environment to a stressful environment of the ER vet just to be put down. - its far away. I am hoping that I can get the vet to come here tomorrow or we will go to the vet she knows. You never know - she may turn around.

Today dd's come back with d mom. I am torn. dd older feels that I jump the gun with the animals and things but I have not been wrong yet when something is wrong. I just know after years of experience.

so far: kitchen is cleaned and swept. dishes washing
next family room.
I was snoopy's Pig Pen after working in the garden. It seems like I dropped dirt and dust everywhere I walked. 8-)
swept the family room.

next late lunch and then sweep up the front hall, dining room, laundry room.

oh no my ADHD is hitting me. I have to remember that if I do one thing instead of putting it off will help me move forward!

d Harriet I am so happy your dd is feeling better!!!

So sorry to hear your family's dear pet is unwell, blessed. I was just thinking of making ornaments as I posted the A, C, and N thread chatting about it. Good for you for starting to plan making some Scandinavian ones - sounds lovely. Tell us about it later if you and family get any done.

Dd25 is chipper again, as we knew she would be. She left here on one set of errands but called back saying she's changed her whole day up and won't see us again until later than we thought, won't be having the young man over here to see her at all, as they'd planned yesterday when she was sick.

I wish I could have a crystal ball and know what to plan and what not to plan in my days, depending upon who's going to actually be around or not, lol.

I spent almost 2 hours on the kitchen today and I could do more. Sigh. That's a little discouraging. One foot in front of the other.

Monthly threads are popping up! gearing up?

Beginnings - definitely hopeful to get creativity plugged in to my time and scheduling over the next day, week, month, QUARTER and, yes, into next year, Twins'! (I say quarter because we are heading into holiday times, from Halloween to New Year's.)

Normal Sunday here.

Small groups followed by worship service. I do enjoy interacting with our church family. It fills me with joy and comfort that comes from being with good friends.

I put frozen chicken nuggets and waffle fries in the air fryer for the family. It is a simple to prepare meal that they enjoy.
