Nancy…I can’t eat sour dough either
I have done little around here today besides watering my sunnies and reading … I usually will use my glider or do my walking videos on Tuesday and Thursday but our cable went out again and we just got it back… it’s now 4:45
My mouth is thawing out and hurts a bit but I expected that so am taking ibuprofen for it.

Re: Tuesday TA-DA's PWYC
DD12 came home from her school outing with her spirits lifted and 180-degree difference than her tears last night. DD12 found a new friend group today and wants to continue attending public school. I immediately felt relief and stopped my efforts to find a solution.
DD47 was insistent with her effort for us to give her a large sum of money. I have received pages of text with her passionate pleas and reasons. BTDT. DH and I are both in agreement with saying no. ANYWay -- it has been a drama filled day.
My effort to do tax related paperwork has not been successful. I have started twice and have paperwork spread across two large flat surfaces. But I keep getting interrupted and having to stop and do other things. I have lost my desire to work on paperwork and my brain isn't focused on it. I will try again another day.

Yes, another day with fewer, or at least different distractions, LadyM.
Dfriend m from down the street is leaving tomorrow for a trio, and brought me her Mother’s Day flowers to enjoy.
I stamped a little and piddled at genealogy some, all upstairs. I’ve resisted a nap too. More successful day, I’d say.
RR, hoping your mouth heals up quickly. Are you, like me, doing ice on the ouchy too?
We have rain coming back in tonight Harriet.

Good evening — just a quick check-in at bedtime.
Glad Twins’ spirits are a little cheerier today!
Nothing exciting here. Had little enough paid work that I was able to get a couple of loads of laundry done. We made reservations for our trip to Toronto for dinner with DH’s maiden aunt. DH’s cousin has organized it. (One thing has worked out well: This cousin was estranged from her own parents and ended up living near the maiden aunt, so they’ve had each other. Of course, this means some burdens are falling on her and her husband now that Auntie Mim is infirm.)
Sweet dreams, everyone!

Re: Tuesday TA-DA's PWYC
Harriet, I KNOW I am getting things done, but I don't FEEL like I'm getting things done. I mean, I'm checking things off on my lists, and I KNOW I'm moving forward, but I just don't feel it.
Today...
TA-DA --
* helped w/meal at church and attended funeral
* paid tv bill and mailed another thank you note
* paid credit card bill via phone
* cancelled another one of dh's mailings (arthritis cream this time)
* lay on the couch, watched it rain outside, and took a nap
Of course, I keep thinking about the laundry that really needs doing, and the bathrooms that really need cleaning, and I just have a big case of the donwannas...
DGS was supposed to have a ballgame tonight, but he came home from school with stomach distress, throwing up, and he slept all afternoon. When ds woke him up at 6:00 pm, he said he just didn't feel like going to the game, and then about 45 minutes later, we found out the games were cancelled because of rain.
Tomorrow, I will be taking dmom to the podiatrist, and I hope that goes okay. She really needs some relief from her foot pain... BUT she does NOT need to go through another surgery.
So glad dd12 had a better day, LadyM! Amazing how things can change in 24 hours, isn't it? Also, (((HUGS))) re: dd47...
I hope I'm not doing wrong in taking dmom's $ for the funeral cost. I'm glad to have that paid for, and no debt to anyone except dmom... and I really had no choice, at least for a couple years. I will have the money when a savings CD comes due, and I could have paid it (with interest) eventually on the OLD credit card... but once they locked that card, there was no more option to do that.
DMom actually said she would GIVE me the money, or I could look at it as a loan, if that made me feel better, or she could give my dbro an equal amount (from the recent sale of the lot on her property). I just hate that I am at this point of not having access to my own money or credit to cover something like that. For the past 45 years, I've never had to think about that. I don't mean we were wealthy, far from it, as evidenced by the leaking roof and shower stall... smh... BUT... we always paid our credit card in full and we didn't have any other debts.
So... here I am.
(((HUGS))) and prayers for Rose and Twins.
I need to get some steps in, Nancy... I haven't been exercising the past few days.
Sounds like you have gotten a lot done today, too, Cathy.
Hope you all have a good night! (You too, Mystery! Just saw you popping in!)
Oh -- BTW -- Harriet -- after you mentioned Red Lobster closing all around your area... tonight's local news said ours was closing. The two closest to us. This is very upsetting to me. It is too expensive, but it is my favorite restaurant!
