Distracted may not be the word, but like Kathryn we've been up when we shouldn't be, with series of unfortunate events.
Electronic beeping at 5 from dd's room where she has been working taking things out. An alarm sound, loud, but by the time HRH opened her door it had just stopped. He got an idea of the direction. Some minutes later, it was going again, and I got there in time to suspect a thing that looks like a pokemon without features. Sure enough, turn it over and there are controls, one of which looks like an old-fashioned alarm clock. I pushed that and so far, so good. After pondering it, I think it is a dawn simulator, but we didn't know she had one. Maybe a wedding gift she had plugged in to see how it works, not realizing it would start a rotation.
Then something came to the screened porch and den window beside it, noisily trying to get in through the screen, evidently because there was a small bag of trash waiting inside the screened porch to be taken to garbage cans. Bing, bing, sproing, like some homemade musical instrument. Sigh. Double sigh. The bag must have an odor we don't smell, because we were sure it was no problem at all.
I pulled back the curtain of the window and saw the back of a cat on the ledge, right? So, peering right out the window, I said, "kitty, kitty, kitty", and it turned and looked at me and it was a raccoon. So that was reminiscent of The Twilight Zone and William Shatner. But I was too sleepy to care. I think there is damage to the screen. Yay.
Hi, Cathy.
Need to try to get some sleep, bye.
