Rough day for me.
Just sayin' ....
This is one day I do NOT look forward to.

Tv issues still there none have been resolved.
I'm an not in a good head space.

Quiet day here, thankfully. Ds is taking us out to eat tonight. Dh is doing some "honey do" list type things - I feel like we've been home so little the last weekends - since we went to the beach. We've done all except going upstairs to my messy room to do a couple of things.

He alternately fusses at me for lifting too much with right hand/wrist and telling me that things aren't that heavy. I had him bring the wheelbarrow while I got the dying pansies out of the planters. For me, the wheelbarrow is heavy to push in the grass when I have both arms strong, but he told me 'it's not that heavy." Contrast to picking up my computer bad with a laptop in it the other day, lol, when I was fussed at. He's going to use the blower now - I could handle it - to blow the dirt off sidewalk and driveway. Hoping I can still find annuals for those planters.

Dh is still outside and I haven't heard the blower. I wonder if he got lost?

We had a good time at the river yesterday. V, and another friend R, and I beat the heat in the pool, which fortunately had some shade too. We were probably in the pool over three hours. Dh, A, and R's dh went out on the boat to water ski. A turned 78 last Thursday and wanted to water ski for his birthday. The other dh is an experienced boat driver and he water skied a bit also. I don't think dh ever has.

On with the day. I have a couple more "honey dos" and we're going to the car wash so I can buy his father's day present of monthly car washes. Not sure why it's important to him that I pay for it, but I'm going with the flow.

Hi!

It's a very hot day here with a bit of a breeze. I tried to work outside, but had to rest more than I could work. I know dh wants all the flowers planted, but I'm having a hard time.

We did have a fire and burned a trailer load of wood pieces from the old trailer and parts of the picnic tables that went towards the new bed for the trailer. All of the wood was "naked", so no paint or weatherproofing type stuff on any of it. At least that got done.

We are having bbq-ed pork chops. Dh ahs requested BBQ sauce on them. We normally don't put BBQ sauce on pork chops.

DH got home from work a bit late this morning, had a bowl of cereal, and went straight to bed. Things were a bit crazy in the city last night with the very decisive win in the hockey game. It's not the first time the Oilerss have been in the Stanley Cup finals, but it's the first time we've won a game in the finals since 2006! The whole city went a bit nuts!

I couldn't sleep in this morning, so I've been doing bits of this and that since about 5am. So far:

- clean dishes put away
- living room floor washed
- all five Scentsy warmers refreshed
- morning daily chores done
- watched a couple of videos in each of two courses I'm doing on Coursera
- thinned the sunflowers in the planter pots
- crocheted several rows on a kitty crate blanket while listening to an audio book

Next up:

- wash dishes
- wash kitchen floor
- take out recycling
- throw the big couch blanket in the washer
- go through another two boxes of "stuff" downstairs (I inherited a lot of stuff from Mum's place when she went into long term care a couple of years ago. Whit all the memories attached to so much of it, it's been a slow process, and I'm only just starting to be able to let go of some of it

Time to get back at it

So glad I spiffed up the kitchen last nite.
I have a plan for meals today.
Dd is stopping by this afternoon so that is good.
Got the pages numbered in the journal I'm going to use later on.

Nancy.. sending hugs as I don't celebrate my father on Father's Day either.

However I am quite happy the way my son is as a father. And Sweetie's dad was wonderful to me when he was alive. I am thankful that I had him as a "father" for awhile.

I slept late late this morning...8:00! Thats because I was up late trying to fix some stuff on our TV that Sweetie had tried to do with his computer. Got everything set up with our TVs and my phone, but had to send a message to Disney asking for information on how to set up Sweetie's computer.

I have a friend that is recovering from shoulder surgery and brought her some dinner from the chicken tetrazzini I made last night. Also brought her a peach that I got at the produce store on Friday. Mine was so delish that the juices were running down my hand. Haven't a good peach in forever. Going to buy some more tomorrow and will get her some as well...I could OD on them they are so good. Thankfully they are on my eating plan!

Have all my routines done and footprints picked up. Now I need to get my steps in.

Dinner is leftovers for Sweetie and hamburger patty and veggies for me.

RR, I got a couple of peaches this week and the one I ate yesterday was horrible! No flavor at all. I'm letting the second one ripen a bit more to see if it improves.

DH is watching his losers bracket college baseball game. I've got to have some quiet time because I feel run ragged on assisting on the honey do tasks. I had to stand by while we were upstairs in my workroom so I did some straightening of the stamping desk, and some refiling of cardstock. We also went to the car wash - my gift to him is signing him up and paying for his monthly car wash plan. He even found me a photo of the family to post on Facebook so I went ahead and did that.

Later this afternoon we both need a shower and we'll go out around six this evening.

I've done some planning for the week:
-put dorm refrigerator on Facebook market (was used upstairs in my office for bottled water, but I used too much. Onerous to refill. Better now with jug of drinking water to refill my iced tumbler.)
-49K steps
-watch a genealogy webinar
-prep for genealogical institute next week - write summary of problem
-HOA and cemetery accounting
-find and get annuals into planters
-locate and purchase planters to repot a couple of plants
-usual research/writing on William White children, assuming I have time.

I enjoyed my time at church this morning. Only DH and I attended because I am putting the choice on the teenagers if/when they attend. I want to attend church because I WANT to ....not because it is expected or just another social event. I seek the worship experience that fills my soul and brings me great comfort and joy IYKWIM. This type of worship experience can't be forced and is chosen. The teens have been brought up in church but not forced. They are old enough to make their own decision in how they believe.

We bought DH a couple treats that we don't normally buy. Chocolate covered almonds and single serving Apple Pies. Maybe not the typical Fathers Day gifts but he got the message that we are thankful for him.

I have decided to set up a future log page in my notebook. I'm just along for the ride while the notebook develops into being a valuable helper.

I have gotten the TV from down stairs unhooked and unplugged.
43" one Brought it upstairs by myself, brought up the box and put it in the box it is outside now.
So happy I could lift it no problem! Yea! Dusted the TV stand that is was on.
That was step one. It needs new card barely used but I am not fighting with it any more.
I do not like that brand. TCL. my son recommended it. buy yuck! LOL.

Now to decide if it's worth it to bring up the other TV stand.
If dd is willing. Time will tell. Nope no time today.
Some people use wall mount ones.
