We had a very nice day together. Quiet as usual, with some yard work being done, but we didn't overdo it. I have planted 4 flowers so far. I want to get more done in the morning. Dh is supposed to go and get some more stone for where he needs it and I want to see how far 1 bag of the same stone will go in the area that has the flowers.
I wonder how Blessed's garden is going this year. Has she reached out to anyone here at all?

Taking a breather;
Happy Anniversary to me a bit early!
Bought the TV.
Brought it in using the wagon it just fit perfectly!
Inside used the furniture dolly glad I remembered them.
put dog outside
Read the directions sheet.
Unboxed it. Put packaging back in box.
Put feet on.
Hydrating now.
I put new batteries I got extra in the old remote that helps the old TV run some music for me.
I can change channels if I want now LOL! [ New remote works on old tv too. ]
Changed old TV to sermon.
Might unhook old TV and hook up new one tomorrow.
The guy that loaded it for me at the store asked what I would watch first,
I said probably the set up pages.
He said that's the first time any one has said that for a response!
We both laughed!

BitterSweet - It is great to see your CI.
Nancy - BWTG on the TV. That sounds difficult but you did it!
I've enjoyed our slower paced afternoon/evening. After lunch I took DS15 to next town to cash his paycheck, buy dessert, then took him to cook-out at his girlfriend's home. DH just left to pick DS15 up. Countdown....only 50 more days until DS15 can drive himself.
DS15 boss requested all the helpers that DS15 could round up for tomorrow's project. They will be screwing 500+/- boards to bridge frame. The boss has offered a $50 bonus in addition to hourly wages if they can finish the project tomorrow. DS15 has found 3 friends that will work tomorrow. Two of those 3 friends live a distance away so are coming here to spend the night so they can get an early start tomorrow. I am not sure this is a good idea and expressed my doubt. My concerns -
** Putting multiple teenage boys together means non-stop chatter & high energy and not a good night's sleep before a hard work day.
** DS15 has a small bedroom, Where is he going to put them? DS15 said one can sleep in the chair and one on a cot. Or they will sleep on the 2 couches in the living room. Hum...
DS15 assured me that it would work out fine. He will make sure they are asleep by 11pm. Yeah. Right.
Pick your battles....this isn't one that I am picking.
If the teenager boys don't sleep well and get fired tomorrow that is a natural consequence.
note to self.....4 teenagers in the house.... expect my ready to eat food stash to be depleted.

Re: Sunday Fathers Day PWYC
bittersweet, congratulations on the Stanley Cup finals news! Your dh is working third shift these days? It's not so bad if it's the same shift every time - rotating is the worst. Good for you taking courses - what are you learning? Do tell about your crocheting in Arts, Crafts and Needlework thread. My dd25 is very much into crochet but way too busy lately - just got married.
Ramblin' what a good report on your dress for the August wedding. That's a weight off the mind when you know in advance what you're planning to wear. You remind me I have some good memories of fathers-in-law, although not much time with them.
Ds called HRH today after he got home from anniversary trip, and they chatted about fishing a long time. HRH was able to tell him about all the reclaimed video and the ones HRH had filmed that have ds in them. One where ds is working on our very, very old truck we called "patches" with my late dstepfil, and one with ds singing a duet in church.
Did more plant-watering today. The grandboys came.
I did manage to say some wise (I hope) things/memories of dear late sonil, the boys' ddad, while they were here. HRH sent dd44 in particular an old, reclaimed video from a long-ago Christmas that had dsonil in it.
I wanted to remember to say things about my ddad to them, but the conversation was too lively. Some other time.
This afternoon and evening I got a leg up on Desk Day and took some things to mailbox for tomorrow, plus got some trash out, pulled some stubborn weeds I'd previously watered for the purpose, lol. It's nice to already check off some items from my 5 for tomorrow.

Re: Sunday Fathers Day PWYC
Okay I got that TV set up as much as I could it is 99% done.
I do not have the cable stuff that I can find.
Had to go out and get one cord off the old tv.
So will try to figure that out and call the co. if I cannot find it.
It was a good call putting it in the basement for now any way.
There is not glare from the window.
Less distraction for me doing my writing and chores.
Will be a good retreat away from fire works & heat.
So many apps and choices that I do not use.
The ones I do use need pw info and name on them.
It did take some time but I had allotted for it.
Glad I did that store run today.
That is a stresser off my mind.
Such a time suck tv's are for sure as is you tube for me.
