What are you putting on the Fast Track around your household today?
Where is your efficiency really shining?
Is there something you're proving doesn't really take so long after all, making time for the things that make you smile?

Re: Friday on the Fast Track
I've been shwooshing through morning routines and Morning Dailies since I'll probably be going out with HRH to his appt with the regular dr.
An efficient breakfast is up next, but probably not for HRH - I'll have to ask if he's fasting.
If things go well, afterward we might head over to a Thai restaurant owned by some friends near that office. We've been hearing from a couple of our kids who often eat there that friends are nagging, lol, saying they never see HRH anymore. True. A couple things could happen - there is sometimes a line and I know HRH will just keep on driving if he even suspects crowding. Or, if we are seated and old friends happen to be serving today, it could turn really social, which isn't my favorite, but, hey, a booth, a menu in my hands? I won't complain!
Dove, I meant to say congratulations on finally finding the right office chair. It's not easy. I hope you get a lot of comfortable use out of it to the point you forget there was ever a doubt.

Re: Friday on the Fast Track
Good Morning!
This is my last intentionally slower paced day. DS15 returns home from camp tomorrow and then our home will be noisy, busy and high energy again.
DH and I both have appointments with the family doctor this afternoon. Just regular monitoring and checking. DH finishes wearing the 14 day heart monitor device today.
Declutter/deep cleaning games continue. Yesterday DD13 did one of the two hardest areas of her bedroom. She was ALMOST happy about doing it. She was pleased with how organized that area looked when she finished. She has been taking before and after pictures. Today DH and I are tackling the dining room table & six chairs in the fun room. Declutter, flip & inspect, repairs if needed, wash off the grime of many fingerprints and then polish until it shines.
We have two more days of our temperatures being in the 90's before we return to triple digits. The cooler weather has been much appreciated.

Re: Friday on the Fast Track
Thank you for opening the village this morning Harriet!
It's a gorgeous day here. I ended up being able to do most of the burning last night, which had been piling up. Two of our 3 closest neighbours have been on vacation for the past 2 weeks and I wanted to get the burning done before they got home. It wasn't anything nasty, but I just try to be considerate of where the smoke might end up.
Thank you LadyM regarding your way of freezing your tomatoes. I told dh. I will be doing some chopping later this morning.
I've watered all the inside plants. We have 28 plants. Three orchids and eleven shamrocks!
We will be having something with ground beef in it for supper.
Later...
1 bag of plum tomatoes chopped and in the freezer. Dh wants to dig up all of the potatoes today. He said they are pushing their way out of the raised garden box that they are in. I saved 4 potato bags from the past few months, plus we have a small bushel basket. I have the feeling we will need more than that.

Re: Friday on the Fast Track
Thank you Harriet for getting the village open for us! Today is the last day of the institute and we're done at 2:45 I think, so not long day, thankfully. Two breaks but they're only 15 min each. This getting done at 6:30 is getting old. I skipped the 7:30 "meeting" last night where they recognize instructors again, give door prizes (must be present to win) and announce next year's courses. I think that next year I won't sign up for two summer institutes. Even tho they're online, it's been exhausting. The other one began on 24 June and this one on 22 July.
I got myself a Greek salad when I ordered groceries on Wed., so I added lettuce, a boiled egg and grilled chicken to it for my dinner last night, and actually ate it during the last session. (camera off for sure.)
Will probably nap when program is over today. I have a thousand things I "should" do but I probably won't.
Ddog was walked two laps this a.m. No rain is expected today but we continue cloudy, high to be 86, and humid!
I had a very small burst of energy and went out and snipped some hydrangeas for a vase. The blooms are small this year, sometimes they're giant, they are just starting to bloom out. I started the iRobot vacuum, moved some throw rugs. Did you get yours connected up, RR?
I'm upstairs on my computer and it's so wonderfully quiet right now!

Re: Friday on the Fast Track
There are now 2 bags of tomatoes in the freezer. I also added to the bag of rhubarb. Dh and I harvested over 30 pounds of potatoes. 1 bag of large for baking, 1 bag of medium and 1 bag of tiny ones to boil whole. The crisper is full of zucchini and cucumbers and I am taking a bag with 10 cucumbers to knitting this afternoon.
Dh is expecting to get more potatoes if there are any more still growing deeper than what he pulled out.

Re: Friday on the Fast Track
I have never used Telegram app. I did a 30 second review of it and saw some say it has been hacked and ign't automatically encrypted unless manually configured that way.
If I wanted a secure message app I would probably use what high profile people "in the know" are currently using. They are in the position of knowing which ones can be hacked. The newly resigned Secret Service director admitted in congressional hearing that she uses Signal message app. Elon also posted about Signal. It is open source which adds another level of verification of its safety.
Just my off-the-cuff opinion....everyone has one.
We are making progress on our project for the day. Declutter, flip & inspect, and minor repairs are done.
I'm going to eat a mini meal and then we will leave for the family doc office.
