You can do it, blessed. You are good with new things.
TaDas from yesterday included all the regular Tuesday mud room/kittypotty chores plus not just the trash but recyclables this time.
Also finished all the indoor plant chores.
Long chat with dd26. They are fine.
Today watered outside
I did extra linens laundry today, even the bedspread (so bulky)
HRH turned (as in turned around) mattress
Next up, remake the bed. I use a safety pin to mark the edge of the bedspread that was "bottom" previously and change it as I put it back on the bed after laundering, with that edge at top. Just hoping to keep the wear and tear even so it's nice as long as possible.

So far....so good.

This has been a social couple of hours with hour long phone call from DBro and impromptu 40-minute visit with DFriends while they were standing in the middle of the road (we were in our vehicle). I treasure these unplanned chats with loved ones.Once an object is in motion, it will continue to stay in motion at a constant speed and direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force, according to Newton's First Law of Motion, also known as the law of inertia

bw2, so glad the new trach worked out for your dh. You'll probably need to familiarize yourself with it.
LOL at your dmom, bw2. Yes, that's what that therapy was for!
I'll work another round - this time need to fold and reboot laundry, perhaps do that 10 min purge/clean up in the garage. I also need to s2s.
Dh called and he had voted - stood in line awhile. I'll go when it's not the first day.

And I didn't get this posted earlier!! ADHD at its finest!
I did another 45 minutes. Things are picked up and put away. I finished watering plants outside, gave the dog her Sentinel, did 10 min of pick up and put away in the garage. Need to s2s after this.

I changed sheets upstairs - I think they did need to be changed but it wasn't a big deal. When we changed to a king bed I put the queen sized sheets upstairs to use on that bed, so they were fresh and ready to go. Dcleaning lady vacuumed in there last Friday and it's presentable, particularly for my dd who is not strong in the housekeeping department. Understatement...."is (local relative) clean and not like you?"

I have had a lot of breathe-in moments today -
today I ended up with a chore I thought I could put off a bit longer - usually by now I clean out cabinets, but nope! Today turned to be the day bc I needed to put away the canned goods I bought for winter. not what I expected. not all cabinets washed but some are. they are wiped.
mom washed utensils -
I dried them and put them away
more put away
time to flip flop laundry
mom is folding laundry while having hop a long Cassidy on . My dad's mom loved those movies and singing.
I have to figure out dinner soon. I didn't pull anything from the freezer but I should.
beets have not been made yet - sitting not he kitchen table.
I have to make a soup for Friday's company
next: flip flop laundry
hello everyone

Re: Wednesday: Back on track with LadyM
I got out for a short walk, the weather is glorious and I'm only wearing a fleece sweater over my turtleneck and undershirt and was warm enough to sit outside in the sun and read for about 25 minutes as well.
I've started dinner defrosting (it is a portion of cooked lasagna so I just defrost, then reheat a bit in the microwave and finish off in the toaster over to crisp up the top a bit.) I'll have that with a salad and the last piece of pita brushed with garlic olive oil, sprinkled with parmesan cheese and toasted in the microwave.
I've emptied as much food as I dare out of the cupboards so there's less to take back in our last load (which will have the vacuum with it which takes up a fair bit of room. The spare bedroom is now completely empty of our stuff, I've moved the boxes we used to bring things up into the office. For now there are a lot of half-empty things. The bottom two drawers of the dresser are empty now, as well as the bottom drawer of the chest of drawers by the front door, which I used for odds and sods, kitchen linens and bug spray and suntan lotion. The only thing left on the porch of ours is my lantern because at some point I might be wanting light out there when I have my tea in the morning.
While out on the walk I ran into the caretaker again and had her back to take a look at the ceiling in the bedroom. All summer there has been a dinnerplate sized place where the paint was in a bubble. Today it looked both larger and the paint is now cracking in place. We both wonder if it is from the squirrels peeing in one spot but (for now) there's no smell in the cottage except a bit musty or moth-bally when I first come in after being away. She's stayed here before when my landlady was traveling and she doesn't remember the spot, but then again, how many of us stare at ceilings when visiting? I only do because it is in my view when I'm doing my leg stretches in bed each morning. She's taken pictures to show her husband.
I finally brought in more wood, enough to last the evening. Overnight last night, the ashes still didn't completely burn out so I was able to start today's fire by putting paper on the glowing bits. But that means they are unlikely to have burned out completely tomorrow so I won't be able to lay a fresh fire to be ready for me light when we come back on the 25th. I did get the glass door cleaned but it still needs another pass. I'm thinking the smudges might be on the outside and wonder if greasy children's hands were touching it when it was cold and have baked on once I started having regular fires. When the kids were here, I had put the coffee table in front of the fireplaces but at least once there was a child on the opposite side of it so they could play across the table from each other.

Re: Wednesday: Back on track with LadyM
Aside from some packing, all I really accomplished today was finishing reading the last 1/3 of the book dd's godfather loaned me in May. So that will come home with me this trip.
Off to bed now. The cottage is still fairly warm and I raked out the coals so maybe they will burn out by morning. If not, I'll just lay a fire when we get back here.
I'm hoping tomorrow will be a beautiful day as today was. I hope to drive to my lunch via the scenic route with a stop at a spot overlooking a valley and lake. Will figure out my needed departure time. I also have to remember tomorrow is Thursday and pick up milk for dh on sale.
