Checking In...We have walked & had lunch.
I have taken the clothes down stairs & started laundry.

Found a home for the spicy food I'm not tolerating yea,
unopened jar of pace salsa / picante' sauce med. some pepper jack cheese & the garlic cheese biscuits & rosemary cheese biscuits
I had made up and froze last week they were cooked the red lobster box mix. They were carving pumpkins and seemed really excited
about that! Happy to use the market bags I got at a yard sale this summer for it! The neighbors have a diff. batch of grandkids
Teenagers I think now. I'm glad my efforts are going to good use.Remembered the pepperoni in the freezer too so took that over also.

Sorted out the next fabrics to cut in strips for what ever I"m making up.
My dsis has a gallon of zippers from my aunt's estate and we were brain storming what to do with them.
 Like projects such as bags with zippers, pockets with zippers on totes, skirts shorts dresses for nieces
she has mom's fabric stash there too. Great ideas for winter.

What would you do with a gallon of slippers some new some rescued from other garments?
Me I think I'd donate the previously used ones, keep the new ones & do sewing adventures as a home
school class with the nieces as they are home schooled.

A bit of excitement earlier the neighbors had the ambulance there for a while they have a split level house up a half flight or down a half
of a flight, they brought in a back board were there for a while then left did not take any one outside. I'm assuming the man needed help
going up or down to the next level. He had back issues one time. She is a nurse.

After dinner I cut off & hemmed my shirt yea!
Did not get to the floors, worked on one bathroom.
s2slippers happened.

yes d cathy! It's Mrs. Hell's country bread! - it's from an Alsatian cookbook. It's interesting: white, rye, wheat flour in it. It has to ferment overnight and then the rest of the flour gets added. I want to try it because it reminds me of my mother's stories of my great grandmother cutting large round bread for the family meal. I hope it tastes the same as my mother remembers.

waving to all of you.

d Nancy glad you were able to find a home for the food!
I know they loved it!
oooo how fun to come up with an idea to use the zippers!
the fire department did that for my neighbor.

hello d everyone!!!

I had to take a headache nap. the girls had mom out for at least 4 hours - they even went to the local town museum and had a great time!
I heard them coming in and fell asleep again. a problem happened - I had the soup off but mom for some reason put it on high again. she didn't remember doing it - but no one else was around.dh came in from outside and woke me up to tell me the soup was on high and boiling.
it is always a joy to be here with you!

Survived (so far) first anniversary without dh.
Dgs and I went out for supper and ate at local steakhouse.
And if you have not seen my surprise “gift” — be sure to look at last night’s late post… shaking my head.

I’ve made it fine… unless I speak of dh.
Tomorrow is another day.
