hello d everyone.

I ran a couple errands but still have to go out and get the candy and small bottles of water for trick or treaters and their parents. it's 80 degrees here no thank you!

I came back to my house and it's perfect for a scary halloween - messy messy messy - EEEEK!!!!! I have to declutter again - I usually wait until January 1rst but I think I am going to have to bite that bullet earlier!

Just peeking in since LadyM had trouble with the website earlier.

Running around packing and cleaning as we get ready to move the rental cottage items back to the apartment. I have no idea where everything will go as much of it was acquired and brought straight here and never had home at the apartment.

The office and spare bedroom are emptied and cleaned and the bedroom has been dusted and vacuumed. That leaves the livingroom/kitchen and the bathroom, although we have cleaned the bathtub surround thoroughly (did that while the shower curtain rod was being swapped back from our curved one to her straight one.)

The pantry is about 3/4 packed, just breakfast and snack food for dinner left. Dinner will be grilled cheese, bacon and onion and then the sandwich grill can be cleaned and packed up.

In the meantime, I've getting phone calls about how Halloween decorating will happen at the apartment buildings and can we change the date of the AGM and, and.....

I'm in such a state that I'm not sure I want any dinner.

Swept the kit. dining, & hallway.
I have a plan for my dinner.

Changed out of town clothes put on work clothes.
Got crochet quota in of three rows If I can do three in the morning and three more in the evening can can up it one row a day
hope to get the last of these done up in time.
Got a pen pal letter ready to mail.
Laundry is current.

took mom to Cost company for candy. I also bought 2 quiches - I dont' like to buy things with prepared stuff in it rather than homemade but It's almost dinner time. We have salad and quiche for dinner.
I bought a chicken for tomorrow - I will mushroom risotto for tomorrow. and veggies

I'm sitting in waiting room while DD13 spends an hour with her counselor. I feel very thankful that DD13 has this person in her life.

I couldnt get access to SHE board earlier. I waited a couple hours in hope it was a server glitch. Turns out it was a problem on my end. I am accessing by phone now and will investigate the laptop when I get home.

I picked another battle with DS16. He absolutely can not drive his pickup until he reinstall the seatbelts. He could be a contender for a debate team with his arguments but I'm not playing on this issue. The pickup can not leave the driveway until it has working seatbelts. Period. End of discussion. He was told if u want to continue arguing then GO TALK TO THE DUCK.

DH is having an off day mentally. I recognize it this morning because he paused when talking so he could recall what he was saying. At sams dh volunteered to gwt ds16 prescription while i got the cold items. I asked DH if he remembered DS16 birthday because it is needed to pick up prescription. He didnt know it so i told him the birthday date. Dh couldnt remember it for 5 minutes and had to call me on phone to ask it again. Hopefully this is a short blip and his short term memory will improve.

Appt today was not too hard, but took lots of time out of our day.

Dd44 walked over and we actually ended up taking the trash/recyclables out together in the truck. At the cans, there was dstepson, so the three of us had a nice chat. Kitty potty chores also done.

Later I did a load of HRH's laundry, ENTRANCED and thankful to get back to a more normal activity after a social, traveling morning. All that is folded now.

He ordered two new shirts - hurray for that.

Also, today (at least - maybe continuing) is a 40 percent reduction in price for the 9th generation Ipad, if anyone is interested. (There is a 10th now - I guess that's why, but we couldn't find much difference except that it takes photos from both front and back of the tablet and we thought "so what"? ) He has been considering a new tablet both for my use and his, so he ordered that as well.

Chatted with dd26 who wants to come this weekend and tutor me in crochet. I've done it but I don't remember a lot - probably like riding a bicycle but she does a lot more than I ever did.

I am home from a 5 hour trip to the city. DD13 wanted to go shopping for items to create a Halloween costume which took some time.

I am so OVER this wind. 40-50mph winds are no fun to have while trying to get things done outside. Opening doors means having a firm grasp on the door or the wind will rip it out of your hand. I thought I was holding onto the vehicle door but the wind caught it and slammed it backward. I heard a loud POP and assumed it was broken. Thankfully the door still opened and closed okay so was able to continue on our way. I will need to look in the daylight hours tomorrow to see what damage was done.

The edge browser will not access the SHE board anymore on my laptop. I switched to using the brave browser and can access it without problems. Weird. Another thing to investigate tomorrow.

DS16 has new-to-him captain chairs installed WITH SEATBELTS in his pickup now. He took the bench seat to the kind person that traded with him. Everyone is happy now and there is no need for anyone to talk to the duck.
