Marvelous Monday PWYC
Still a little off balance by that time change? Feels like we slept in a bit? Feel Marvelous today, whether it's extra sleep or general well-being!

Re: Marvelous Monday PWYC
looking to do the right thing today.
the right thing is to drive to mom's for her meds. I got her breakfast from the place and she is eating it now.
we had rain all last night which was a good thing!
I need to:
go with mom to get bulbs for her lamp and get meds from Walgreens for her.
pick up my meds
waving to all of you!!!

Re: Marvelous Monday PWYC
No sign of Marvelous yet.
I did my light therapy, didn't notice anything different about my mood.
It is a dull day out so that makes things harder. I slept pretty well, but a bit late. I woke up at 6ish (which would be 7ish i.e. my normal waking time) and went back to sleep for another hour which surprised me.
I had some time on the balcony with my tea and then came inside to do light therapy.
I will not be visiting the retirement home today. I looked up guest parking and discovered it is near Cathy. There's another one with almost the same name in my neighbourhood and I filled in the web contact form having clicked through from a browser search which put the one in Southern Ontario at the top of the list. Sigh.... The contact person didn't twig on my note about moving my sister to Ottawa. So I sent an email to cancel and then phoned the one I wanted to contact. Am waiting for a call back, which means I can't leave the apartment right now.
I went to pay an overdue bill by phoning in my credit card number to them and they are closed today due to unforeseen circumstances. Weird. I'll go to the bank and pay it.
I have laundry on the go and am now looking for other bills I may have missed paying. I need to call the car insurance as they suggested we may get a discount for dh being over 65 now. He's been that for a few years so I'm not sure what's up there. In fact, I cross that milestone before my next renewal. So a phone call is in order.

K in C BIG! WTG on your progress!
I think you can rename your lite to my happy lamp or something like that! LOL!
I have been in the office this morning but did get some things done.
2 Planners now combined into one.
Full journals sorted and together in a stack moved to the get out of this room zone.
Stacks of to sort ephemera are combined... maybe some day pile LOL!
Next I need to move that to the spare room not sorting it today.
Bfast bar eaten.
Meals for today thawing or baking now.
found 4 Cmas cards and I put them in the card box.
One other one is done except the letter I will write to do in a week or so.
Sheets off the bed waiting to go in the washer. In the dryer now. X
Sort clothes next up - I cannot take three loads at once so will do two baskets at top of steps for next trips up and down. X
1st load is washing now.
OR I could toss em down LOL like it did the sheets but they do not stay in a bundle
btdt. X
House smells marvelous after baking rolls from my own from scratch recipe.

Re: Marvelous Monday PWYC
Like Kathryn, my plans have changed.
And I will not be out buying yarn today. Kinda disappointed, because HRH and I planned several errands including the yarn shopping. But he's not feeling up to snuff so maybe tomorrow we'll do a few things after an appt. Won't have the free and easy day for it, though.
email I sent to the children today:
Well, I need to reorder my PODA! Another road will lead to Marvelous.

email I sent to the children today:
Would be the 109th birthday for the twins. I know it must have been such a sad moment for Granny and the doctor both (oh, shoot, I would have to ask cousin the doctor's name) when he had to tell Granny that although (my mother) was strong, your Aunt C did not make it. And what a joy when the doctor's handkerchief moved in the shoebox. She had pulled it down off her face herself. Don't anybody think she couldn't keep up - she was already tired of being put in a box.

Re: Marvelous Monday PWYC
I love the family story, Harriet! Pass 'em down!
I'm considering today kind of a free day. In fact, I feel that way this week. I'm unsettled about the election and possible aftermath, too.
I've been upstairs, kind of working on stamping desk and putting cards into clear envelopes with an evelope. I'm also initialing them on the back (in May one of the ladies at the little temple arts fair) suggested signing them. Also putting the little copyright Stampin up on them, supposed to do that if one is selling them. It looks like I'm way over stocked on birthday cards.

Re: Marvelous Monday PWYC
Good morning!
Twins - thanks for opening the PWYC thread for today.
We are in our 3rd day of significant tornado activity. Thankfully, no tornado damage has happened near me - the closest tornado that did damage was about 50 miles away. Tornadoes are unusual for the month of November in our little corner of the world. Our tornadoes typically happen in the springtime. The storms did bring a welcome amount of rain. We are at 6" of rain since Saturday. Many have received more than that amount of rain. Everyone I know is THRILLED and thankful for the rain.
I am keeping an eye on the nighttime temperatures in the 10-day forecast. Our typical first frost happens on November 10th. We are going to have a late frost this year because the predicted temperatures are in the 70's daytime and mid 40's nighttime for the next 10 days. The garden continues to grow with these mild fall temps.
I am making small progress dismantling the garden each day. The frost will happen before I finish but that is okay. I have all winter to finish dismantling 2024 summer garden. There is always something growing year-round, so the garden is never closed. Harvesting does slow down significantly during the winter months though.
I am spending an increased amount of time on x monitoring the election hubbub. Part of me wonders why I am spending time doing this while the other part of me claims it is history in the making (no matter which party wins).

Re: Marvelous Monday PWYC
I just want to say hi - I will check in soon
Mom was waiting for me to get her - I didn't expect it. I was just going to give her meds but there was lovely blessing from it.
I put on Marie Matthieu Christmas cd and she sang with it as she petted the dogs. It was a special moment!

This too, LadyM. Kind of scatterbrained too.
Have re filed all the scraps of card stock big enough to save.
