This is like old times, isn't it? I mean, me coming in here late at night, last post of the day...
BUT -- I guess you could say I've had a pretty marvelous day.
Got out of bed, did my stretches, s2s, did Bible reading
Talked to dfriend and we have made tentative plans for lunch at my mom's tomorrow.
-- Dfriend lives out of state, and is here visiting her mom, who has dementia. This is such a wonderful friendship -- our grandmothers worked together at a local factory... our mothers became friends... and we have been friends all our lives. Our brothers are the same age and they have been friends all their lives. We have lived virtually parallel lives, until I had a child ten years earlier than she did! Anyway, I am looking forward to seeing her tomorrow, and * a JOY * my dmom called a little while ago and said she was going to make spaghetti for us. I say this is tentative, because we both know our mothers can feel good one day and awful the next -- but this is the plan.

On to more ta-das!
* I had a bunch of errands --
post office
bank to deposit dmom's check from her renter
radio station to pay that advertising thing -- it's a donation thing supporting their broadcast of college football games.
flower shop to pay for flowers I ordered for funeral of friend I told y'all about yesterday; dmom asked me to take care of that.
-- They said date is not set but funeral will not be before Wednesday.
* Back home, started laundry, which now is all done except load of towels and underwear that is waiting for the dryer, and sheets which are waiting for tomorrow. ;)

I thought I'd probably miss GriefShare on Wednesday, because I was anticipating the funeral being that day, but then got a text from the leader saying he would have to cancel -- they are having a funeral at the church that day. I'm kinda glad because I still feel sorta awkward about that friend request the other night. * SEE J&C Oct. 31 if you don't know what I'm talking about. * I hope I am being silly and making a mountain out of a molehill over that, but it just feels... awkward. Nobody else has sent me a friend request, you know. But DS is right -- this guy is a whirlwind of activity. Me -- this evening dmom said she hadn't done anything today. I said -- I've done something. I've laid on this couch since about 4:00 pm! But I did get up and take care of laundry during commercials. :lol:
We only have one more meeting after this week, I think, and I will miss these ladies terribly... but I'll be glad not to have any awkwardness.

Election Day tomorrow. Another reason I'm glad I'm not driving to the meeting and hour away -- I expect to be up late tomorrow night. DS on and I talked about this -- election day is kinda a holiday for us. Not saying I don't care how it turns out, I have my own preference, but it is just exciting to watch the returns come in and see how it all turns out. And, I will certainly be glad for all the political ads to cease.
We do not have any local races that are contested, I don't believe. I'll have to look at the sample ballot again. There is an amendment on it, which only applies to one county, I think, and in cases like that, I tend to think it's none of my business, that those people should be the only ones voting on that. I may try to Google that and see what it's about.

Anyway -- I hope you all have a great night and a great day tomorrow.
Tomorrow is another day.
