Election Day Tuesday PWYC

Post by Twins' Mom »

Have you voted already? If not, get thyself to the polls today! Regardless of how you're voting, exercise that freedom to choose our leaders!

And while we're working today, let's alievate our restlessness by electing to do a little extra to keep ourselves busy as we wait results!

Good Morning!

After delivering DD13 to school I drove by our voting place. There was a line going down the sidewalk. We will go vote midday. I have a sample ballot (3 pages) printed and will mark it at home on all the offices and issues being voted on. Then I will use my sample ballot as a guide to quickly mark my official paper ballot in the voting booth.

Breakfast is a container of strawberry flavored Greek yogurt and a bowl of cottage cheese (100g). This has been my breakfast of choice for several days in a row.

DS16 just left for his second day of work on a housing renovation construction job. He said homeschool assignments are current but I need to verify that. He was complaining (a little bit) about some of the assignments. Ohs well.

I walked the dog but not the standard walk, we kept running into other reactive dogs and headed home. She got to do her business tho. Dh worked out with new trainer this a.m. at six - can't believe he can work out that early. He spent 45 min on the treadmill before working out.

So I need to get myself busy. Nothing scheduled today, and dh is bowling tonight.

I have voted we all have mail in here not sure if it's the whole state or
just our county. Did that last week to miss any crowds.

I need to make out a groc. list.
Keep working on my crochet project to finish up before Sun.
to get em in time for the food baskets going out this month.

I have purged more and sorted a pile moved some journals still trying to figure out how it can get in the book case.

It was windy all night I did sleep well 2 small one inch or less branches were down. So glad I had room in the can for that.
Walked around the yard and got a few other things picked up to go too. Trash is at the curb now.

Had a bite to eat bs was a bit on the low side.

Waving to all of you lovely ladies!

Waving back to you Nancy and all that follow.

I had a mail in ballet. But dropped it off at an early voting place last week. Lines were long, but all I had to do was walk up to the guarded drop box and put it in. I can’t wait for all of this to be over with! Tired of all this nasty talk from both sides. It’s is shameful to me.

I couldn’t sleep last night. Laid awake for an hour, tried to listen to my story for an hour after that and finally gave up. Grabbed my book and read till 2.30 so I’m almost on Lucylee time

Still woke up a little before 8. I’m slow this morning. Am thinking about later this afternoon doing a Goodwill run. All my morning routine and footprints are done. Working on my second cup of coffee and then will head to the shower. I need a quick pick me up.

Einstein did his thing yesterday … I really love that guy! It’s cloudy here with a chance of rain. We are now in our dry season, meaning the temps are finally lower as well as the by humidity, which is such a relief. The storm churning out in the Gulf will miss us, but it will bring some much needed rain.

hello good morning!

happy voting day - I saw a clip on instagram that made me smile: "Vote Midwest Nice". (Charlie Berens). So today I will vote midwest nice - This presidential voting season (around here) has been very low key - no angry people this time. it's been very nice!

my one neighbor has a little fire under her but she respectables. Much nicer than 4 years ago.

I have to go over to mom's to give her meds to her.
I already got her breakfast.

dh - is not as clogged as yesterday - He fought me all day. Thank goodness - he is letting me help him and he is breathing better. Hoping his cold goes away.

LOL — Rose is moving into my time zone!

I have actually been in bed by 11 or 12 the last two nights. Not ASLEEP, but in the bed with bedtime routine done. I’m trying to read more (non-screen) and of course, I still have tv programs I want to watch. But I’m just working on sorta winding down at a reasonable hour.

Today’s PODA:
S2s, morning routine
Make dermatologist appointment
Check bank deposit
Vote
Visit with dfriends at dmom’s
Tomorrow is another day.

how is his boss?
He is home recovering. He fractured 5 vertebrae. The doctors say he is supposed to not move and give it time to heal on its own. He was given a brace to wear if he moves around. His wife told us that he isn't moving much because of the pain. It is expected he will have limited movement for several weeks. He is an extraordinarily strong muscled fella so hopefully that will help with his recovery.

Voting was surprisingly quick. It took 20 minutes from the time we parked the vehicle until we were getting back into vehicle. We stood in line for about 10 minutes with several friends so we were chatting the whole time.

DH is struggling with manually changing the time on clocks. He has been messing with them for 3 days now. He also struggles to know what day/date it is. I am solving that by ordering an echo show to sit next to his favorite chair. He can talk to it, and it will show him the answer on screen as well as talk back. It will do gazillion other things but those aren't the primary use for this particular device. I'm sure there are many better options but I don't have the bandwidth to think and analyze them. I'm familiar with echo show devices so they are a no brainer to me. A $40 device solves his hours/days of struggles with manually changing clocks. I am giving the other clocks away so he will not be bothered by them.

I am praying for his continued healing (may it be fast) d lady! it's so hard to sit still! Praying that the pain dissipates soon!
glad voting was quick!
smart that you will get the thing that will answer his questions. We have a clock for mom that changes on it's own but shows the date, time, pm or am. pretty big.
what a good idea to get rid of the extra clocks.

hello d Lucy great job on having a bedtime routine!
cheering you on through your PODA
it is always a joy to be here with you!
