So far this morning I have emptied and refilled the dishwasher. I will run it tonight after we have supper.
I have put away dry laundry and I'm doing the bed sheets. Dh just asked if I could do blanket from couch and blanket from bed "if I have time". I'm not planning on going anywhere today because it's raining.
Dh dealt with a mouse that one of the cats left on the mat outside the door. He also brought in some stuff from the freezer for me.
There is a football game on later. I will most likely have a nap.
Good morning on Sunday

Re: Good morning on Sunday
Morning routines done, foot prints have disappeared
Need to do a small grocery run and not sure about the rest of my day
Had a great time last night joining our friends for dinner and the musical Chicago. The cast was fabulous. It was a good night for Sweetie as well. He knew one of the guys but not the two others. All love classic cars so they had lots to talk about. One of the fellows was a NYC cop for 20 years and after he retired became a private detective. Bet he has great stories to tell.
His wife’s name is Mary Lynn. She goes by her double name. I asked her where that name came from because I know she isn’t a southern girl. She told me her mom wanted to name her Marilyn after Marilyn Monroe, but her grand mother was against it. My friend comes from an Italian family and the tradition is to name the first girl born after the grandmother.
So her mom named her Mary because that was her moms name, but added Lynn so it still sounded like Marilyn! She also told me her mom wanted to name her brother Michael, but again the tradition was to name after the grandfather. So her mom named her brother Robert Michael. In the end her mom calls her brother Michael, but her dads side of the family always calls her brother Robert!
This made me laugh

In a world full of noise and chaos,
A sanctuary is what we need the most,
A place where we can rest and be,
Where memories are made and love is free.
Welcome home to us!

did you write that, blessed?
HRH and dstepson shared a take-out biscuit brunch but I will not be eating that way, and cooked for myself while listening to their conversation.

Re: Good morning on Sunday
Well... I found out what happens when a puppy pad goes through the washing machine because it's hiding in the bed sheets. Sigh... I'm hoping the dryer gets most of the little white bits. I tried to knock off as much of the stuff as I could, and therefore the floor was quite a mess. I also wiped as much of it out of the washing machine before I did a "rinse and spin" without anything in the washer. Thank goodness I wasn't in a rush to get dh's blankets done.

Re: Good morning on Sunday
(((Cathy)))) BTDT - maybe not the puppy pad but other paper type products found after washer quit. Kleenex, paper towels, etc. Yesterday DH found a key in the washing machine after removing the clean clothes. It was the church key that I had left in my pants pocket. oops.
I cooked two types of protein in the air fryer so I could increase our refrigerator ready-to-eat stash. Tilapia and hot links are now available.
As I think about the garden during the cooler months, I want to turn my focus from raising/harvesting to rebuilding. During the warm months I spent most of my garden time harvesting and processing it to freezer. During the cooler months I will have time to focus on being creative and making changes to the garden layout and structures. I started that process this morning by moving some blocks, adding gravel (drainage) and moving rich soil from compost area to new garden planting spots. It feels good to enjoy the journey, not stressing about the finish. I will never be finished improving and changing the garden.

Re: Good morning on Sunday
I often have kleenex in my pocket, or dog treats, that go through the wash.
I have figured out my way through trying to sell some stamp sets online in a FB Buy/Sell group for Stampin up products. I took photos, uploaded to group, have one set of four sold almost immediately. Some I've never used.
We'll see how this works. Perhaps it's better than hauling boxes and boxes of stuff to a donation site?
Dh got home and we gave his friends a little tour of public areas and they headed out. I've stamped a little but then worked on genealogy footnotes.

Re: Good morning on Sunday
I am glad you sold them d twins!
hello d cathy - sorry that happened! it happens here all the time! I always forget to check the pockets
how nice that your d stepson and your d HRH enjoyed their time together - isn't it nice to listen to the chit chat between the two!
yesterday dd's were laughing about I don't know what but it was fun to hear the joy of them being together. mom wasn't as keen as she was watching a show in the family room.
hello d rose
no footprints - lovely - glad you had a nice time at the dinner and theater event! so happy your dh enjoyed himself so much!
so Interesting about being named after the grandparent and that your friends mom was still calling him Michael - good for her. My d brother in law also has his friends/children/grandchildren one name and his family another.
I have heard about that before. - My dad's mom's family (Polish Ancestry/her parents were Catholic born in Russia- always said they were Polish) named their children after the saint that they were born on. My grandmother was Anna, born July 26th - St. Anne's day - She called herself Ann. It was their family's tradition.
d lady - I agree the SHE board keeps me on track as well!!! (plus we all get to have fun together while we work).
