Whoops, how did this happen? We haven't even celebrated Thanksgiving yet and Christmas is a month away. Thanksgiving is late so the time between will be squeezed. And there are 36 days remaining in 2024. We're careening toward the finish!
So....what are your plans for today, lol?

Make from class and now am soaking my toes.
Need to do two small loads of laundry. I still have to gather all my self care things together and then pack them
Already checked in for my flight thankfully we are TSA approved so that should help the check in. My son will pick us up at 4:30 am for our ride to the airport which is about a 30-40 minute drive depending on traffic. Thankfully we are flying United, not Amaerican which is now on strike at their hub in NC.

Re: One month 'til Christmas Monday: PWYC
I think I'm ready for December 25. Outside lights are up, so I just need to turn them on every night starting on Dec. 1st. Tree and decs will come in on December 1st as well. Some gifts are already purchased. Gift cards for MIL and SIL haven't been purchased yet.
Supper tonight will be rigatoni and meat sauce.
I have NOTHING on my list of scheduled chores for today. I stayed home from knitting this morning.

Re: One month 'til Christmas Monday: PWYC
I need to be moving. Dog is walked, next is breakfast, then trip out to bakery and specialty baby clothes store. I finished instacart order, hoping I don't think of too much else that I've forgotten. Need to get out and get back before order arrives...
We ordered a 3 foot tall menorah for the porch yesterday. We only light it during Hanukkah, however. I will change out pillows etc. on the porch to winter blues, hoping this week.

Re: One month 'til Christmas Monday: PWYC
I am trying to do things that make life easier and still be supportive for my family. (and give me a break)
I think I have been stressed but I can find the good things again.
The good but still a struggle: mom's med e lert pill box worked but not exactly with mom following through. it will take time. She was sound asleep when the alarm went off at 10 am. She didn't quite put two and two together that the pill machine was also giving her meds - she took the pills out when she lifted it - but she didn't take the meds. She wanted the alarm off. (but the pills came out yay). I called and asked her about the round pill container and she had no idea what I was talking about. I got her to it and she said she has meds on the counter so there was some connection. I stayed on the phone as she took them. hopefully the connection will come as she gets used to the process. I have breakfast in the fridge for her - I will see if she sees it.
today:
I have to order food for mom for Friday.I have to pick up moms meds from Wal greens. I will also put food in her fridge but I doubt she will eat it. I need to fill her fridge with water.
I ordered groceries for thanksgiving and mom.
I ordered walleye - I will feed that to them tonight. broiled. my grandma's potato Salad, cucumber salad.
goal: give myself Grace, praying everyone stays healthy today!
the good to be grateful for: mom is alive and well, dh is doing well and is actually caring for himself that I can see, dd younger is not in as much pain as yesterday, dd older is feeling better emotionally today, dogs had exercise and are laying down.

Re: One month 'til Christmas Monday: PWYC
Changed sheets & did a load of laundry it's folded and put away now.
s2s happened.
Had bfast & took my Rx,
Got some notes for my holiday plan to write in on the page for reference for next year.
I have a holiday wreath to put a few finishing touches on.
Then I need to decide where it goes by Sunday.
That is the last decor item.
I put the box for holiday stuff creche in the closet.
Moved a chair to my bedroom will try that and see how it works for Dec.
My kitchen is a fright.
I need to move the too small items to the rig for when I go to town.
The empty decorative boxes need to go out to the shop.
Moveed a stack of books off the table.
Bagged up mixer for dd / Dgd was going to pick it up but had to work.
Yea for progress.

Re: One month 'til Christmas Monday: PWYC
I am loving being on Thanksgiving break. I turned the alarms off to wake DD13 and get her to/from school. DS16 is self-motivated so I don't have any alarms for him. He left for work at 8:30ish this morning.
DBro and DSIL called this morning for a 36 minute chat to catch up with each other and our multi-generational family member's doings. #TreasuredMoments
DH and I are about to leave for a list shopping trip to Sam's. Most everything we will buy today is cold or frozen. I order most other pantry items and have them delivered to our front door. I am looking forward to buying some organic lettuce and having salads again. I haven't been able to chew salads for the past several months while going through mouth surgeries.

Re: One month 'til Christmas Monday: PWYC
how wonderful that you have thanksgiving break!!!! wonderful d lady!
lovely phone call!
have a good trip to sam's club
yay on changing sheets and doing laundry
I am sure the holiday wreath looks beautiful
good for you on moving a chair to see if you like it there.
you are going out of town? good for you!
yay on progress
I am feeling more at peace bc I looked at what I could cook the next two weeks - I "kind of" have a menu plan. but I know what I can make.
the next right thing:
put the tabs for the xmas lights on windows in front. I could do kitchen stuff but I want to get this done.
I ordered mom's food to be delivered but she must have taken her phone off the hook. I will check in a 1/2 hour.
